if you were given a link to "U.S. Department of State Supplemental Questions for Visa Applicants Montreal" asking for 15 years travel history, 15 years employment history, addresses etc. then it is online version of DS-5535 form introduced in the last year (July onward i guess). Passport is normally mail to consulate once you are cleared from AP (DS-5535).

It is not the passport - It is your country of birth (Chargeability). You may verify it from NVC account at the top right

If someone is interested in reading comments in response to state department "Proposals, Submissions, and Approvals: Supplemental Questions for Visa Applicants"(https://www.regulations.gov/docket/DOS-2023-0028/document) posted last year, here is the link: https://www.regulations.gov/docket/DOS-2023-0028/comments

If CO serve you a 221g because of incorrect police report, then you will have to wait for 4-6 weeks or more after submission of correct report to get visa stamp. MTL is very slow if visa is not approved at the spot. Your application will eventually go to the consular review queue once your documents are received by consulate.
-
Not sure the What difference it makes: "For Active Criminal Record" vs "Other" Our is same as above image. May be some other VJ member comment on it
-
You are good- We have the same form and was accepted by consulate too.
-
You are good (Type of Criminal Record Check for Personal Use: For Active Criminal Record)->NVC suggests to get report for Personal Use. Yo can check it from NVC country specific document web site (Canada)
-
You form will be OK if it is issued by RCMP and says To whom it may concern: Your application for personal information held in the National Repository of Criminal Records has been processed. No personal information about you was found in the National Repository of Criminal Records.
-
You need police certificate from RCMP (that search your record in National Repository of Criminal Records) Your application will go into Administrative Processing(221g) after interview and that would delay the visa issuance

Any update after few months of DS-5535/Resume submission is good sign. It indicates that Consulate/DC is working on your case i guess.

Sorry to hear about that. As mentioned above, just vetting the resume also takes time now-a-days. Probably resume is also forwarded to DC and agents may take their time to clear it.

(last five years) Really - DS-5535 is specifically designed for 15 years travel, employment, address history. 5 years information is already included in DS-260. Just vetting the resume is taking so much time?

Some of the agencies mentioned in the blog may also be involved in screening (in addition to visa applicants) of large number of immigrants (on priority basis) crossing borders illegally before registering them.

There is some hope in term of speeding up AP in 2024 for immigrant visas (Not sure if it benefits new applicants or applicants already in AP) in the following paragraph: 17. The Department has been actively involved in working with the National Vetting Center to shift security vetting of visa applicants from the KFE vetting system discussed above to the National Vetting Center. The Department transferred the national security vetting of nonimmigrant visa applicants to the National Vetting Center in October 2022, with immigrant visa vetting to follow sometime in 2024. The Department anticipates that moving security vetting to the National Vetting Center will create efficiencies in the vetting process that will ultimately benefit all visa applicants and also enhance border security by providing more robust screening of applicants.

Finished My Interview - They didn’t take photos
Leo The Great replied to Denokarter's topic in Canada
The person who collects your document usually scan your photograph to make a digital copy and return it to you after scanning. -
yes - provided you are not flagged by the system that CO use to check for SOA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Security_Advisory_Opinionn) against your application You may check the status of your visa issuance using following link https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV

@Bestbest7 >>>I was put on AP / DS5535 for having the wrong RCMP clearance letter. Could you clarify if you were asked by MTL to provide the DS-5535 like 15 years travel history, 15 years work history, and addresses etc.? Just submitting the wrong RCMP clearance certificate does not take 8 months to year to issue a visa. Missing/Wrong documents cases are generally resolved between 8-12 weeks once you submit the correct document.

True. I guess consulate still send the resume to DC for vetting as CO may not be expert in all TAL subjects
