  1. https://www.foia.gov/faq.html How did you become a USC? Any criminal record for either of you?
  2. And just to confirm you’re a US citizen and have been throughout the process - you weren’t a green card holder when you first applied? Did USCIS say why your case is ‘very complicated’? Might be worth doing a FOIA request to try and find out what’s been going on in the background that you’re not aware of.
  3. Agree with this - but please do also fill in your own timeline as well! We all need to ‘pay it forward’ and complete our timelines to help all of the other EB applicants that follow behind us. The more data we have, the most useful VJ becomes. Thanks.
  4. You need to chase it up then, published processing times for your office are 8 months so you’re well outside of that. https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt Good luck.
  5. Ah, ok so it doesn’t sound as though you’ve paid the GC fees. Once you’ve paid them, then the GC’s should be with you within 90 days, but you can track it using the receipt number (starting with IOE). They’re usually delivered within about 6 weeks. Good luck.
  6. I understand that, but it doesn’t make any difference. The GC fee can only be paid online after the visa is received - see the link above. It’s $235, so check to see if you’ve paid it but if not then follow the payment link to do so.
  7. What fees did she pay? She wouldn’t have paid the GC fee at the consulate, it’s paid online after you receive the visa. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-fees/uscis-immigrant-fee
  8. She can fly however she likes. If there is pre-clearance immigration (i.e. she was changing planes in Dublin) then make sure you allow longer for her to go through the process there, otherwise she’ll go through it when she arrives in the US. Please complete your VJ timeline to pay it forward and help others that follow on, thanks.
  9. Don’t forget that your consulate also has US holidays - so they’ll have been closed on 9th Jan for example. Not sure what Xmas/NY holidays you get in Oz, but for my consulate it’s only been 12 business days since the 20th Dec.
  10. I’ve not seen any that quick, are those Singapore specific? I just skimmed a couple of recent posts and they were about a week before hearing back so hopefully it won’t be too much longer for you. Good luck.
  11. You’ve not answered a couple of the questions, it’s really hard to help you without full details. Where were you born and what does your case status say? If you were born in the UK then your PD wasn’t current until 1st January, so no visa was available to you until then and it hasn’t been anywhere near 60 days. Please fill in your timeline on your profile, thx.
  12. Remember that 9th was a holiday, so it’s really only been 3 working days since you sent everything. I’d just give it more time.
  13. There’s an official step by step guide here - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition.html Also, there’s a great resource on this forum, check the Guides section at the top of this page. Good luck.
  14. As you say, it’s only been one working day since your interview. I’m sure it will change this week though, good luck.
  15. 1. As said above your receipt number is from the fee, not your case. 2. This is the website you need to use - https://egov.uscis.gov/. Not sure if you saw my response on your previous thread? 3. If there is a delay (after 90 days of entry, or paying the fee, whichever came later) then you complete this form - https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDCForm.do?sroPageType=ndc&entryPoint=init
  16. Ah, ok, so it’s just your petition that’s been approved, not your visa? Police cert validity is set out on the usual website - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  17. As @Crazy Cat said, we need more info to help you. You don’t normally schedule your own immigrant visa, it’s done for you, but if you can advise on the type of case etc, somebody can help.
  18. Since your visa approval? If you’ve already been issued a visa then you don’t need any police certs.
  19. What does your case status say?
  20. Country says Ghana but consulate is Armenia, is that right?
  21. Just checking, you are a USC? Not a LPR? Have either of your I-130’s been approved, or both of them still waiting?
  22. It would depend on the answer to my question above which you’ve not answered. How did she enter the US, presumably as normal on her B2 i.e. through an airport POE? How long has she overstayed? Should mean she’ll be fine once it’s filed, but don’t wait any longer, get it filed urgently - with the incoming new administration next week, you really don’t want her to be in the US illegally.
  23. It will depend on how long she’s lived in Germany, but you can check it yourself on the usual website, just jump ahead to step 7 - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html Also check the country specific guidelines to see exactly what police certs will be required and how to obtain them - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html/ Good luck.
  24. How did she enter the US and how long has she overstayed? Should be fine for you to petition her but just checking. Please don’t type all in caps, it’s considered ‘shouting’, thanks.
  25. What’s her current status? You should be able to file concurrently.
