  1. Yes, Direct Consular Filing. As he has a job offer he should be eligible for it, and it'll mean the process is much quicker than the standard 18 months to 2 years. Has he filed his taxes as mentioned in your previous thread?
  2. Again, why do you think he has to move ahead of you? That's not correct. You can't 'convert from a visitor visa', that's visa fraud and illegal. However you do it (via normal consular processing, or DCF) then you can apply from the UK, and you both move together once you have your visa in hand.
  3. You can chase it up as it's been more than 90 days if you want. https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDCForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndc Their visas in their passports act as a temporary GC for a year anyway.
  4. We used Fragomen for my O visa, although I was O1A. They also did my EB1A app. But your sponsor should be proving the lawyer, so check with them first as they may have a specific one they like to use. Good luck.
  5. Yes, I did, and I'm on an expat assignment so get housing, car, school fees etc paid for. Even so it's crazy expensive, so just bring plenty of cash to set yourselves up and live ok. Good luck.
  6. And what does it say on the page above?
  7. On CEAC? Or this page? https://egov.uscis.gov
  8. Might be worth having another read of your previous thread, as domicile was mentioned in that - Has he caught up on his missing tax returns?
  9. If you're both in the UK then why do you think you have to be apart? He can petition you from the UK and you then move together. He has to show his intent to move as part of the process, but confirmation of a job waiting for him in the US and email exchanges with realtors or similar would do that. If he has a job offer, you may also want to look in to DCF which would be quicker, if you're in any hurry to move. Good luck.
  10. Yes, they don't all come at the same time. So you may still get one. What does your online status say?
  11. Yes, until you get an interview. I think they’re sent out every 60 days. Islamabad has a long wait for interviews, so if that’s your consulate you’ll probably get that email quite a few times. Good luck.
  12. They are expensive but a drop in the ocean when it comes to the cost of immigrating - as somebody that moved a year ago (almost to the day, it was our ‘Americaversary’ yesterday), my top tip would be to bring much more money than you think you’ll need. Cost of living here is insane, most things are 3 times as expensive as the UK, then add in healthcare premiums if you have to pay them yourself ($2k ish a month for a family) and it’s a pricey place to be. Admittedly I’m in Boston so a very expensive area (recent study says salary of $320k a year needed for a family of four to ‘live comfortably’ here, which I’d say is actually a bit low! https://smartasset.com/data-studies/salary-needed-live-comfortably-2024), but still bring plenty of savings wherever you’re going, even if you have a job to go to. Ok, was just checking you didn’t come under another country for your PD. Hopefully it will turn up today then. Good luck all.
  13. You need to meet the requirements here - https://www.cdc.gov/immigrant-refugee-health/hcp/civil-surgeons/vaccination.html#cdc_generic_section_10-table-1-vaccine-requirements-according-to-applicant-age-for-civil-surgeons HTH.
  14. Hopefully it will be with you later today. But just checking, where were you born? Congrats to all! Glad to hear IL’s are rolling out. 👍🏻
  15. Yep, this is the best idea - or just return in the April as the OP mentioned, if that's an option. I think they're pretty strict on the 3 month requirement so wouldn't risk it personally.
  16. Ah, ok. Still too early I'd say, but maybe ask the forum member I mentioned above if he's still waiting as his PD is a couple of years ahead of yours. Good luck.
  17. Then way too early to expect an interview if you were only DQ'ed in March. Unfortunately Lagos is very backlogged as above, it seems that backlog is coming down, but priority will be given to other cases (spouses etc). Here is another VJ member who is also F3 and waiting for an interview in Lagos, he was DQ'ed nearly 4 years ago and in April was still waiting for his interview date - https://www.visajourney.com/profile/446906-walewale/ Might be worth asking if he's had his IL yet. Good luck.
  18. That's sped up a lot then, it wasn't long ago that it was a couple of years wait. Seems they're getting through the backlog which is good.
  19. There was no record of myself, my spouse, or my two children having it either (although I was ready with photos of spotty children just in case we were asked!). We weren't even asked about it in London, the box was just ticked to say we didn't need it.
  20. As above, Direct Consular Filing - which is what your profile says, and would also explain how you got an interview so quickly. If you aren't DCF then I think your interview may have been scheduled in error as it was much quicker than normal, so that may be why it was cancelled (when they realised their mistake). It's usually much longer than 3 months for a 'normal' case. For contacting them to enquire, here are their details. https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-CA/iv/information/contact_us Good luck.
  21. Did you get confirmation that your medical results had been received? You don’t normally get any kind of written approval, just a verbal one at the interview. It can take a couple of weeks for the visa to be issued and passport returned so there’s no need to worry at all if your interview was only a couple of working days ago. Keep an eye on your online status, when it changes to ‘issued’ you know the visa has been printed and put in the passport, it should then be received within a week or so. Your tracking number will be online when it’s sent. Good luck.
  22. What type of case, which consulate, and what’s your PD?
  23. If you don't qualify for an expedite (pregnancy isn't a valid reason - as per the sticky thread), then there's nothing you can do other than wait it out I'm afraid. On the plus side, the NVC side of things is pretty quick at the moment, and I don't think Malaysia has a big backlog, so hopefully once the I-130 is approved the second stage won't take as long. How pregnant are you? Is travelling to your husband and staying with him in Malaysia an option?
