  1. Congratulations! It happens. My husband had his green card in hand in less than 3 months (submitted AOS toward the end of May and got the green card in the beginning of August with no interview required). We were confused and surprised, but happy!
  2. Just got approved for the green card! No interview required.
  3. Sent packet: 05/22/2023 Received receipts: 06/02/2023 Online access code: 6/05/2023 Biometrics appointment: 6/20/2023 EAD approved: 6/21/2023 EAD card in hand: 7/06/2023
  4. Just received an update that the EAD card has been produced! So it was approved on June 21 and the card was produced on July 3.
  5. To be fair, we haven't gotten the "EAD card is being produced" update, but it's still nice to know it's been approved. We're outside of Seattle.
  6. Husband had his biometrics yesterday and we just checked online this and saw that they gave the EAD approval. Awesome!
  7. Sent packet: 05/22/2023 Received receipts: 06/02/2023 Online access code: 6/05/2023 Biometrics appointment: 6/20/2023
  8. We sent ours in on the 22nd to the Chicago location. Haven't gotten any notifications from them yet but the money was just taken out of my account this morning, so we know they got it.
  9. True, that part is odd. We would get frustrated after being apart for a few months. Hell, we were going to meet again before the interview because we didn't know when it was going to be, but then it got scheduled, luckily.
  10. The misinformation is definitely annoying. I don't blame you for being angry. The whole process can be very frustrating. It'll happen eventually, though. Just keep going.
  11. It's interesting me how it can be so different depending on the place.
  12. My fiance and I only met once before filing for our K1 visa and it was no problem for us. We also spent the equivalent of 8 more weeks together after that and before the interview. A lot of things seem to depend on the specific embassy, though.
  13. My fiance had his interview today and got approved in about five minutes, apparently. Saturday (the 1st) will be exactly 19 months from when we submitted the I-129. So glad all of that is over!
  14. Update: Even though the person at the embassy told my fiance that he wasn't waiting on receiving something from them and that he just had to keep checking the website, he just got an email with instructions. He was told to make a medical exam appointment and then email them back and they would send an interview date soon. He also apparently pays the visa fee on the day of the interview. Gotta love all of the misinformation...
  15. Having the same issue with the embassy in The Bahamas. It's been "Ready" on the CEAC site since February 22 and the next step on the embassy page is to pay the fee, but it won't let my fiance do so and just says there are no interview appointments available. He's both called and emailed and has just been told to keep checking that page. This is probably the most frustrating part of the whole process thus far because there's no specific timeline, and it's the final step before approval.
  16. Timeline thus far: -Filed on 9/01/2021 and got the receipt for it on the 3rd -NOA2 on 11/07/2022 -NVC case file created on 1/19/2023 -In Transit on 2/14/2023 -Ready on 2/22/2023 My fiance had already created his profile on the embassy portal page so he obviously went to that right away when we saw that the case had changed to "Ready". Unfortunately, it hasn't let him pay the fee or schedule an interview yet. He sent them an email on Thursday so we're hoping to hear back from them soon to see if we need to wait for something specific. More frustration in an already long and frustrating process...
