Case is being processed by VSC

    June 2 - Sent Package
June 3 - Package Delivered (Carol Stream, IL)
June 5 - first text message and email, case appeared in online portal
June 7 - Personal Check cashed, one file with partial evidence scan uploaded to portal by USCIS agent
June 10 - 48 month Extension Notice and Biometrics Reuse Notice available in online portal, 'Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS'
June 14 - Extension Notice and Biometrics Reuse Notice arrived in the mail

Looks like we covered all the first steps pretty quickly and now the waiting game begins. Will file N-400 ASAP in late May 2026, but we wouldn't mind a surprise I-751 approval in the meantime. I know it's unlikely, but one can dream . Hoping we can be done with the USCIS for good in roughly 18 months.

    Good luck to everyone!

Yes, bring as much fresh evidence you can. With utility companies and banks, you can just select paper statements so you don't have to spend time and money printing. In most cases, paper statement are free.

pietrus1 reacted to nerdcouple in Emergency: Traveled abroad with extension letter but without physical greencard
Update: I made it back to the US on my original flight. Since I booked my flight using points, I didn't have anything to lose and decided to push my luck. I checked in online, put my A-number in the form and entered May 2027 as the expiration date of my greencard. Also added my Global Entry number. Went to the airport and nobody asked for the physical greencard at the bag drop off. There was one more document check but nobody wanted to see the actual greencard or the letter so I got on the flight without any issues. At immigration in the US I got in the Global Entry line as always. The officer asked for my greencard and I said I don't have it with me but showed him the extension letter. He looked at it and said 'Welcome to the US!"... I didn't even have to go to secondary inspection so I must have gotten incredibly lucky.
I had a plan B in place in case they would have denied boarding which I totally expected: I would have taken a flight to Mexico City a few hours after my original departure and met my husband there. He was ready to travel there from the US just to deliver my greencard and to get back together to the US on the next flight.

Thanks again for all your replies. I am incredibly grateful for what happened today and that was absolutely not what I expected to happen. Success factors for me were online check-in and Global Entry I believe. Plus a lot of luck! I don't ever want to go through this again though.

Update: By 2:30pm yesterday his case status was approved!!!!!!! I can't believe it. No interview, 2 RFEs (1 for medical, 1 for marriage certificate/USC spouse birth certificate, even tho I sent both of them in with the original application) I'm so so happy! Hoping the card comes in the mail quick so we can take a 2 year long break from USCIS

All I can say is congrats! The USCIS most likely waived your interview and you should get your green cards in the mail pretty soon. Plenty of people on this forum adjusting from K visas had their interviews waived, and some of them were approved in as little as 2 months, so 5 months isn't unheard of.

Thank you. The approval came from NBC.  I got an RFE to send marriage certificate on the 7th and that came from San Francisco field office.

AOS was approved over the weekend, on the 2nd.

Question: How long after approval did folks receive status change for card production or arrival of green card?

For my wife, we did not receive an RFE but we noticed that the DS-3025 was not filled out correctly.  So, we found a civil surgeon who agreed to just update and transfer the immunizations from the DS-3025 to the i-693.  It was very difficult to find (and convince) the civil surgeon to do so.  I submitted the i-693 with the AOS package and she received her green card with no problem.

However, her children were follow to join k2 recipients and I submitted their AOS packages with their DS-3025 despite knowing that her kids needed additional immunizations.  This was done to avoid having to pay the higher USCIS fees due to drop any time now.  We fully expect an RFE and are prepared to take the kids to family doctor / health department to get the vaccinations completed and then to a civil surgeon for the immunizations to be transcribed on to the i-693.

Hi everyone! After a K1 Visa, we have started our AOS + AP + EAD in May (National Benefits Center), and I received the Approval Notice for my EAD already!

JANUARY 17, 2023: Entry in the US with K1 Visa
MARCH 2, 2023: Married at Courthouse
    MAY 10, 2023: AOS+AP+EAD Packet Mailed
    MAY 12, 2023: Received
MAY 16, 2023: Receipt Notices Date
MAY 19, 2023: Biometrics was scheduled in Cincinnati
MAY 23, 2023: Receipt Notices received with USCIS account number
JUNE 7, 2023: RFE for Birth Certificate (Had not sent proper format), seen online
    JUNE 9, 2023: Biometrics Appointment - Actively Reviewing Forms I-485 & I-765
    JUNE 13, 2023: Evidence uploaded
JUNE 23, 2023: Date of Notice of Approval for I-765
JUNE 29, 2023: Notice of Approval for I-765 received in mail

Waiting on receiving the EAD card now! I did not expect the EAD to go this fast but I'm glad! Now I wish the AP would move quickly too so that I could go visit my family back in France for Christmas... Let's hope
Note: on the USCIS website, the I-765 is still showed as "Being Actively Reviewed by USCIS", but does show the Standalone Approval in the Documents section. I had been checking my status often this week but did not think of looking in the Documents section!

Well, three frickin years after applying (are you kidding me?), my adjustment of status application was finally approved! At this rate maybe I'll be able to vote in the 2032 presidential election...

Only consolation is we didn't have to drive almost two hours each way to an interview, and didn't have to file yet another application (and wait another three years lmao) to remove conditions on a 2-year permanent resident card.

I'd say wait a few days for the online access code information, then you'll be able to sign on and see if all your cases were received. Did you put them in the same package?
  23. Thanks

Once you receive your online access code, you can upload the additional evidence and there are categories for the uploads. For example, at the time of filing, our 2022 tax transcript was not yet available. Once it was, I uploaded it under the affidavit of support section. There's also an unsolicited evidence section if you're looking to provide more proof of your relationship.
