  1. Happy to submit our final update in this thread. We feel lucky to have a relatively quick approval despite having a notoriously slow local FO and getting a medical RFE. Good luck to everyone still waiting. Hang in there! AOS from K-1, concurrent filing I-485, I-765, and I-131 Decided to complete a new medical instead of fighting the RFE May 1 Mailed via USPS (Chicago Lockbox) May 2 Delivered May 5 Text messages May 8 Check was cashed May 9-10 NOAs from NBC, dated May 4 May 11 Online access code May 13 Biometrics appointment letter, scheduled for June 3 May 25 Early walk-in biometrics, I-485 and I-765 changed status to “Case is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS” July 1 RFIE status on I-485 July 3 RFE for medical showed up in myUSCIS account (from the Chicago FO) July 13 Mailed new medical to the Chicago FO July 17 RFER August 19 I-485 Case Approved (approval notice from NBC) August 23 Card Produced August 25 Card in hand
  2. All I can say is congrats! The USCIS most likely waived your interview and you should get your green cards in the mail pretty soon. Plenty of people on this forum adjusting from K visas had their interviews waived, and some of them were approved in as little as 2 months, so 5 months isn't unheard of.
  3. Congrats! Was your case approved by the Chicago Field Office?
  4. The RFE finally showed up on my wife's account this morning, and of course it's a medical. Despite including her DS-3025 from her overseas medical from February of this year, and including an explanation in her cover letter that K-1 applicants are exempt from doing another medical in the US, the USCIS is still trying to extort more money for their cronies. We feel that it's not worth the risk to fight it, so we'll cave in and do another medical as soon as possible (especially since I have some doubts about her DS-3025 being correct). For those adjusting on a K-1 and redoing their medical in the US, did you do the full medical, or just the vaccination portion of the I-693? p.s. I'm really confused why the Case Status says RFIE, when the actual document states it's an RFE. Is this normal?
  5. Our case tracker app just alerted us that the USCIS has sent us an RFIE for my wife's I-485. Not the update we were hoping for given we've tripled check everything. We were trying to see what the evidence request is for, but we can't find it on her My USCIS portal. Should it show up under the Documents tab along with her NOA1 and biometrics appointment notice? Should we look at this as a good sign that the USCIS is looking at her case? Thanks for your input!
  6. Our timeline for reference: Concurrent filing for AOS I-485, EAD I-765, and AP I-131 after marrying on a K1 Mailed via USPS (Chicago Lockbox): May 1 Delivered: May 2 Text messages: May 5 Check cashed: May 8 NOAs: May 9-10 (NOAs from NBC, dated May 4) Online access code: May 11 New Updates: Biometrics appointment letter was sent out on May 12 and it was scheduled for June 3 Successfully tried an early walk in and completed biometrics today (May 25) The status for both I-485 and I-765 immediately changed to "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" after biometrics
  7. No, it's not. Here's our timeline: Mailed USPS (Chicago Lockbox): May 1 Delivered: May 2 Text messages: May 5 Check cashed: May 8 NOAs: May 9-10 (NOAs from NBC, dated May 4) Online access code: May 11 Did you get the text messages with your case numbers? Did the USCIS cash your check/charge your card? Either way, it's still pretty early
  8. Happy to report w got the access code letter yesterday, 10 days after mailing our application. Will the USCIS really notify us of any updates via email/text as soon as they're available in the portal (e.g. when the biometrics appointment is scheduled), or do we have to keep checking for updates ourselves? On a side note, I've noticed that all the evidence we submitted for all 4 forms including the I-864 was lumped under the I-485 case, and there's no evidence listed under the other cases. Also, a few of my pay slips and my tax return transcripts haven't been scanned. Was curious if others have experienced the same thing.
  9. Thank you both! Hopefully we get access to the online portal soon.
  10. Thanks! I already have all 3 case numbers from the text messages my wife received, so best to my knowledge that also confirms the I-485 was received. But isn't the I-485 NOA the only proof my wife will have of legal status in the US once her I94 from her K1 entry expires in 2 months? Can you print the I-485 NOA from the online portal?
  11. Concurrent filing for AOS I-485, EAD I-765, and AP I-131 after marrying on a K1 Mailed USPS (Chicago Lockbox): May 1 Delivered: May 2 Text messages: May 5 Some updates Check cashed: May 8 2 NOAs: May 9 (NOAs from NBC dated May 4) Sadly, we only received 2 NOAs (for I-765 and I-131). The envelopes were in a pretty nasty state which makes me a bit worried about the NOA for the I-485 (hope USPS didn't lose it/destroy it). Did anyone here had to deal with a similar situation? Should we contact USCIS if we don't get the last NOA in a few days?
  12. Text messages: May 5 We received the 3 text messages confirming receipt on May 2 with the case numbers. So far so good!
  13. Thanks for your response! Sounds exactly what I was looking for!
