The Visa Journey Adjustment of Status guides says:
    "
    1. I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status.I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. If you are missing any shots from your overseas medical a I-693 vaccination transcription is required to be completed by seeing a Civil Surgeon to have certain portions of the I-693 completed and have the Civil Surgeon certify the form (sealing the original in an envelope and giving you a copy)."

Vaccinations are not part of biometrics.  They are part of a medical exam.

    Do it now.

Question to others: is I-129F still ok in this case or dead e.g I-130 is required?

Since your SO has not arrived yet, when they arrive, it would still be prudent to get an SSN - rather than waiting to get it via AOS - even if you don't absolutely need it for the marriage license.

Having an SSN allows you to get joint accounts and other things that might drag if you wait for EAD/AP/GC.  Just FYI.

Different counties in a state might also have different required documents. Our county requested my birth certificate with a certified translation which I had so it wasn’t a problem, I remember looking in a county over and they didn’t have that requirement.

It appears you both need to have an SSN:

It depends on the requirements of the court where the wedding will take place.  Call the court clerk.

Mrs. T-B.-to-be's passport was acceptable, as I recall.

I (the USC) had to provide my SSN, and I had no idea where my card was.  Fortunately, the court was close to home, so I ran back to find any official governmental document with my SSN on it.  I had a Series EE savings bond.  I showed it; the clerk checked briefly with her supervisor, accepted it, and said, "This is the first time that anyone has presented a savings bond as ID."

~~ topic moved from K1 forum to US Consulates and embassy discussion ~~

I assume all US consulates follow very similar security procedures. When I went to the interview, you had to put your bag through the scanner (plus walk through metal detectors) and they asked if you have any electronics. My consulate had storage where you could leave your stuff but it looks like Bogota doesn’t.

Mickey + Roseni got a reaction from DJH in Visa status "Issued" - When will it be ready for local pickup?
Wow, it is so crazy to think that this years long journey comes down to just a 3-5 minute interview. But I’ll take it and hope to have the same experience you did.

I’m sure that couple was terrified seeing that the officer was spending extra time on them. I can only imagine. The name thing seems odd, but thankfully my fiancé has a somewhat uncommon name.

Thinking about that moment and hearing those words is the thing that keeps me going. It will be such an immense weight lifted.

Yes, it does.   The consulate will extend the validity though.   You can email them to request that, although I believe most are doing it automatically, since they’re all behind.

I bought a month of renewable major medical policy that was advertised on VJ for K-1s while researching this  topic in 2018.

(Can’t name the insurer now  because the moderators unhappy  for naming / linking to it when I first answered this question.  Even though visajourney pushed the ad.  You can use a search engine to find coverage.  And due to cookie magic watch visajourney push the ad.)

Then as soon as my fiancée entered, I added her as a domestic partner to my employer’s health care coverage. Then as soon as we married, upgraded her status to a spouse on my employer’s health care coverage, which lowered my premiums. Then once her K-1 -based SSN came through, updated my employer health coverage record with her SSN so that the nag emails stopped.
