  1. Not at all. I emailed the embassy 2 weeks after my interview since I was placed in administrative processing and originally was told no additional documents were needed. There was no update to my file since the day of my interview. They responded to me a week later and told me they were waiting to receive my police certificate. If I didn't email them I wouldn't have known this.
  2. Congrats! I'm happy that your passport is going to be reunited with you soon and you can finally join your spouse. My visa hasn't been issued yet but the embassy received my police certificate on Monday so I'm hoping I'm not waiting too much longer.
  3. Something needs to be done because the wait times is beyond ridiculous. I hope for both of us that our cases resolves soon and please do update when you are approved.
  4. I'm happy that you got your connections to put heat on them to process your case quicker. From the stories I've read about the Montreal consulate I think they're grossly incompetent. I'd think it should take no more than 2 weeks for them to process an application that's only missing a document especially if it's a straight forward case. I haven't had my visa issued yet. I just recently sent my police certificate so I'm hoping it gets to them by early next week. I'm praying that I don't have to wait too much longer.
  5. I understand your frustration, I had my interview 2 weeks before you and my file showed refused and at the time they said no additional documents needed. Well I emailed them 2 weeks later and didn't hear back from them a week later for them to tell me that they're waiting for my police certificate since I did it wrong (jeez would've been nice if they told me this the day of my interview). Like yourself I'm frustrated with the lack of communication and just how slow they are. I could've done my police certificate 3 weeks earlier if they communicated. I haven't been able to work for over a month and this is very stressful for me. I'm hoping they approve you soon but I think it's egregious that it's taking nearly a month to just approve your medical.
  6. I'm sharing my experience with getting my police record November 22 Got fingerprinted at Commissionaires in London and got my police certificate on Dec 1. Much faster than I anticipated.
  7. Hi there I used this email to reach the embassy: montreal-iv-dv@state.gov They will reply back within 6-7 days. I haven't sent out my police certificate yet, I'm still waiting for the RCMP to mail it to me. I did my fingerprints last Tuesday. I'm hoping to receive it soon.
  8. Have you tried reaching out to the embassy via email to inquire about your status? Same thing happened to me I had my interview on Oct 31 and I was put into 221g and told they didn't need additional documents. I emailed them to inquire about my status 2 weeks after my interview and they responded to my email a week later and told me I need to send another police certificate. I'll be honest I'm irritated this wasn't communicated to me earlier. Pretty incompetent on their part. If I didn't email them I would've been still waiting.
  9. Thanks for the info. I was surprised they didn't send me a link to submit my documents but I will use the https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ link to submit my stuff via courier
  10. Hey guys, I got issued a 221g and got told to submit another police certificate (If I didn't email them they would've never told me anything).I wanted to confirm this address as where you sent your documents to: U.S. Consulate General 955, 1re Avenue #USA Sainte-Catherine, Québec J5C 1C5
  11. I received an email from the consulate that they're waiting for my police certificate (even though I wasn't informed during my interview that my police certificate was wrong nor did they emailed me to tell me shortly after the interview that I had the wrong police certificate). I'm relieved that's the only thing I'm deficient in. I can kick myself since I probably would've been approved by now.
  12. No I wasn't given a DS 5535. When I had my interview, the officer only mentioned that I would be placed in administrative processing. No mention of a questionnaire. I was given a 221g slip and the officer checked off the box on the sheet that said "Additional processing is required. We will contact you when this is complete". It's been exactly 3 weeks since I've had my interview. I did email the consulate last week hopefully I get back a response sometime this week. I wasn't missing any documents when I had the interview, I didn't think it would take this long truth be told.
  13. Hi there I'm going through the same situation as yourself. I had my interview the end of October and was told I was being placed in administrative processing and they kept my passport and police certificate. The last update on CEAC was the day of my interview. I'm frustrated and feel left in the dark. Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone in this experience and I'm hoping we get back our passports soon.
  14. Oh okay I don't know why I thought I'd get an email regarding with my application. I'm just bummed out getting the 221g form, I didn't think I would be waiting more than 2 weeks but from what I've read in this thread it seems like I'll be waiting a minimum of 4-6 weeks 😔.
  15. Hi guys, I had my interview on October 31 and was only issued a 221g despite submitting all required documents at the interview. Haven't been sent a questionnaire/5535. I'm just curious for those who only got issued 221g how long the wait was before approval (to put my anxiety at ease)?
  16. These are the two sheets of paper I got from the officer this afternoon. I wasn't told to submit any other documents as I brought all that was required to the interview.
  17. Had my EB3 visa interview today, I thought it went well, I was given a 221g administrative processing paper despite submitting all the required documents. They kept my passport and PCC. On average how long has folks waited for a response for them to send back your passport?
  18. I've received the DQ email (which the letter it was dated) on August 22nd.
  19. I got DQ on August 22, 2022 and got my interview letter on August 30, 2022 and my interview date is set for October 31, 2022 and my priority date is May 25, 2022. I'm EB3 I'm not sure if it's because I'm a healthcare worker as to why I got through very quickly.
  20. I have two questions, 1)How long on average is it taking people to get their I-140 approval to being DQ? 2)I'm in the process of EB3 and is the interview wait time really 2 years that's been predicted online here?
