  1. Hi, I was wondering, why isn't there a forum for asylum seekers and refugees on VJ? Or did I miss it?
  2. Not a big deal, half of the time it doesn't work
  3. Logistically, and to avoid any issues with missing information or DS-3025 expiration, it may be easier to get a full medical exam in the US again. The doctor will issue all missing vaccines and ensure all the paperwork is up to date and up to USCIS standard.
  4. When you submit AOS packet (I hope you're filing I-130 together with other forms?) you can put all forms at the front all the evidence at the back. You don't need to repeat evidence. At least this is how my AOS was filed and got approved.
  5. Couldn't agree more, especially since I-751 instructions direct to send as much evidence as possible.
  6. Yes you can travel back on 2 year GC and extension letter. Please let us know how it goes, should be nothing special.
  7. You'll definitely have to be creative because of your unusual lifestyle. Some ideas: 1. Do you know any other people / couples living similar lifestyle? Maybe they can write affidavits 2. Do you stop at trailer parks / camp sites for few days or weeks? Maybe you have receipts from there and management can write affidavits? 3. Do you have any subsciptions, family phone plans showing both names? 4. Do you go to the same doctor / dentist? Can you show you're both patients at the same place or had joint visits?
  8. @jztelemark thank you for explaining, I should have re-read the thread. Congrats once again!
  9. Where in the US? California has a lot of stores accepting UnionPay, other statates I'm not sure.
  10. I doubt it hinders anything. 8 months is nothing for ROC, nobody even looked at the file yet.
  11. When did you submit the packet? It might be that nobody even looked at it yet (biometrics is nothing), so uploading additional evidence can not hinder the process. I'd upload it.
  12. No worries, usually it's very quick between the approval and receiving GC. Glad it's a happy end. Make sure to make digital and physical copies of GC as soon as you receive it. In case if you lose it, it would be easier to replace it.
  13. @JoeN43 was last here on October 5, 2019. Please start your own thread.
  14. @vantango last visited October 1, 2022. Start your own thread after trying this solution:
  15. That's great that you let them know. There's a reason extension letters are 48 months (4 years) now. The wait times are aweful. On the other hand, @Crazy Cat wife's I-751 took 44 months and @mindthegap is still waiting since 2015. Though those are rare cases...
  16. Is your divorce still ongoing? USCIS may be aware... There's almost never fast adjudication when divorce is involved.
  17. Great, so OP has a backup plan in case if 10 year GC doesn't arrive! I wasn't sure if getting 10 GC approved invalidated conditional GC and using it was be punishible by laws such as "8 U.S. Code § 1324c - Penalties for document fraud" but I guess I'm overthinking 😅
  18. You seem to have complex immigration history, so no wonder it's taking time. Good luck!
  19. Make sure to file both I-765 and I-131. Include copy of receipt for I-485. These forms should be free with pending I-485.
  20. Which state are you trying to get your ID from? Why GC and extension letter are not working? They're probably accepted. Renewing passport is important too, though I understand this may be expensive and addressed later.
