Take everything you used for anything during the immigration process, including the originals of everything uploaded at the NVC stage.  No need to "limit" what you take.  Take it all.

I will have to try that again and see, it just gets confusing on there, was hoping for some reason world experiences from recently and currently. Its just when you read things and search for things you get so many results and information, some sources say K1 is quicker while other sources say spousal. Some say due to covid spousal has flipped to being the quicker option, while others still say K1 still is.

I’m sorry to hear about your mom ❤️

It sounds like this could be a really good plan for you to spend some time with your new family in the Philippines. And then, at least if you do marry and petition for the CR-1, your then wife will be a resident as soon as she enters the US and you don’t have to worry about AOS like you would with K1.

You folks know how to lose an "OP" in a hurry. I seek simple and concise responses please.

Luckily for me in both my trips to the Philippines I had no issues, but then again I was very careful where I ate.

Yeah in the Philippines if you come to a restaurant first thing when they open you might be eating food left over from the previous day. The idea of tossing out food is not a thing there. I stayed away from street food, I am not the adventurous type😁

There are PRA agents located throughout the Philippines who can assist you. I recommend going to YouTube and Google search for SRRV visa. There is a dearth of info there from people who have done it.

I'll undoubtedly live near Davao City and the Duterte clan and is the PRA only located in Manila ? The investment part does not bother me.

Well, last night I made the decision to apply for the SRRV in early 2023 and just move there and marry her then decide what fits the best for us. Yes, I understand the costs and burdens of proof for me. Thanks. Keep em coming.

Off the top of my head I think extensions are like P2000 $60 a month or something like that.

For the onward ticket I would just buy a one-way on United for Manila to Guam the day of departure and then avail the 24 hour fee free cancelation about 10 minutes after you check in to your flight to Manila.  Philippine Immigration will never check for an onward ticket but the airlines do at check-in so that is the only point of concern.

Perhaps a more elegant solution to everything is if you are traveling with your Filipina wife and you arrive together from overseas you will receive a Balikbayan stamp in your passport allowing you to remain in the Philippines for an entire year before you had to extend or depart.  The only catch is you must arrive from overseas on the same flight with your Filipina wife.   So maybe arrive as a tourist.  Have a nice wedding in the Philippines.  Have a nice honeymoon in Thailand or Bali or someplace nice like that and when you return from the honeymoon together you would receive a 1 year Balikbayan stamp in your passport

It does not need to be a round-trip ticket.  You must have a return or onward ticket.  So you can purchase a one-way ticket from the US to the Philippines, and another one-way ticket from the PH to Thailand/Singapore/wherever is cheapest.

You can remain in the Philippines as a tourist for up to three years without leaving the country.  No need for an retirement visa or the associated expense.  Depending on your location, it could be more trouble to visit the Bureau of Immigration office if it's too far away.  Process is one month extension after the first 29 days and then you can start doing six month or two month extensions.  Extension require a drop in visit to the local BOI office.

None of this will speed up the process, but you'll be together.

You can also do an online wedding through Utah to speed things up. You could still do an unofficial (since you will already be legally married) wedding and reception there afterwards with her family if she wants that. This way you will be married when you land. I am not sure of all of the details but there are many posts from others here who have gone through the process. I believe after the online wedding, you file for a ROM (report of marriage) to the consulate of the Philippines in San Francisco (they have jurisdiction over Utah). You may also be able to do the ROM once you get to the Philippines but I am not positive about that.  I think once you are married and have ROM you should also be able to get a BB visa that is good for 1 year. When you arrive you will only get a visa for 30 days. I would not suggest a SRRV unless you are planning to retire/stay in the Philippines.

Saw the “my Filipina” reference and thought the same thing.

To the OP, marriage is a two way street, and having a spouse from a different culture that picked up their life and moved to another country adds more challenges.  I would suggest marriage counseling at this point, as well as more education along cultural differences.

    Good Luck!

You need to give your wife space.
I'm not sure how long you spent with her before and what the relationship looked like while you were dating.
But, if she chooses to return to the home. You need to apologize for hurting her and then leaving her in the car.
And then try to have a discussion about expectations in the marriage.
Did you both agree she would be a housewife when she arrived?
Did you both agree to having a child so soon after she arrived?
I'm thinking your wife might be going through a lot of stressful changes.
Her major misstep was covering your eyes while you were driving. I'll give you that.
But, your account of the first 2 months sounds like you both entered the marriage with wildly different expectations and neither of you currently have the tools to reset expectations and come to a compromise.

I'm filipina and I'm married to a white guy. I would say a lot of it is culture difference, sometimes I get super annoyed with my husband or vice versa but it's just that we were brought up differently. But given your situation I think it's something that you guys really need to talk about. Marriage is definitely alot of work but it needs two to tango. Goodluck!
