I'm doing 601-a waiver. Because of my situation I can't adjust status here in the US, so I need to go to my home country for consular processing and I think they need a police clearance here from where I currently live in California. I better be ready and over prepared for my interview.

Is anybody here from California? I'm looking for someone who previously requested a California record clearance from DOJ? How long does it take to receive the California record clearance to your mailing address after submitting the fingerprints? Is it less than 30 days? Im trying to coordinate my embassy interview schedule. Thank you!

Yup, we are DQ'd on February 24 and still nothing. We've sent 2 expedite requests already with mountain of evidences and proofs but it got denied. I am with another forum and it seems like they are going between 4-5 months before getting an interview letter. I really hope they'll do something soon.

I think they go off US time? So it would be Friday in the US.

The reason why I submitted 3 years tax return is because I thought it would help and wouldn't hurt anything. My husbands income for the last 3 years met the income requirement so I thought it would be perfectly fine.

I've read from other forums that they go by the "required documents" date, and for me I think it's true but that's just me. my attorney only submitted 1 year tax transcript for 2021, so I went ahead and submitted 2020 and 2019 tax transcript and w-2 as far as uploading additional documents I'm planning on uploading our 2022 taxes and 3 most recent paystub when I go for the interview.

I got DQ today!!! -So my attorney submitted the required and optional documents Feb 7,2023 - I uploaded additional supporting documents myself Feb 10,2023. I thought they would go with Feb 10th because that's the last date I submitted the additional documentation but apparently they go by the "required documents". - total days waiting: 17 days Now I'll request for an expedited interview for Manila Embassy. I will share with you guys how it goes!

Thank you for your insight. And I agree, you'll never know how it's going to unfold. But I'm thinking of doing the expedite for the interview as soon as I get DQ'ed. My 2 year anniversary will be on April 2023, and I'm hoping everything goes well for me, and I'll just make sure to enter the US after my anniversary date🙏

For DQ question: Does it matter which country the file is from? Or is it general like NVC will just follow the queue regardless of the country origin? Top secret, I have another question: I'm from the Philippines and im wondering how long after getting DQ'ed will the nvc send me an interview date letter and how far out is the actual interview date? I'm trying to coordinate everything and see if I have to prepare an expedite request or not. I really wanna have an idea with the timeline as far as Cr1/IR1 interview goes. I greatly appreciate your input. Thank you!

Hi! I'm also a CR1 recipient, can you please let me know how long did it take you to get DQ'ed after you uploaded and submitted all the documentations on the Ceac website? I just want to have an idea since I submitted everything last February 10th. Really appreciate it. Thank you!

Hi Luckygal! I'm still waiting for the i601A approval, but luckily Mintchocolate is ahead of us with the process. She should be able to provide us with the latest update on the Manila embassy processing.

Oh yeah I couldn't agree more. As an immigrant the feeling of loneliness is so depressing when I got here in the us. Because I was so lonely I developed eating disorder and I literally tried to kill myself twice because I was so depressed. I have problems with my husband, adjusting to the food, culture, language and everything and it was soooo overwhelming. Looking back I'm glad I overcame that lonely phase. It will take time to adjust here and it would be super helpful to have an understanding and supportive partner!

I'm filipina and I'm married to a white guy. I would say a lot of it is culture difference, sometimes I get super annoyed with my husband or vice versa but it's just that we were brought up differently. But given your situation I think it's something that you guys really need to talk about. Marriage is definitely alot of work but it needs two to tango. Goodluck!
