  1. @Lil bearI’ve already been stuck myself for 6 months at one point during this process. Naturally, I’m just hoping for no more glitches. Did you ever find out what caused the card to be delayed for you? I know I need to continue to be patient .
  2. My card has been stuck at “Card is being Produced” since Friday Dec 2. So five days so far. For most people it seems to switch to “Card was Produced” after a few days. How long until card is mailed to me? My POE was a little over 3 weeks ago. I chatted with Emma who was no help. Just trying to manage my expectations.
  3. @ohmygodCongratulations!! How long did it take to get issued after Montreal received all your documents including second medical? Also, how long did it take for your second medical results to be sent to Montreal? I had second medical done and still waiting for the results to be submitted over two weeks later.
  4. I have not heard that 2-3 weeks between medical and uploading results is standard. I read on their website to expect around a week. I have heard that they prioritize those with interviews over those redoing their medical. I have followed up by email again and hope to get an update . Not sure what else I can do if they don’t respond again.
  5. Interesting. I was offered sept 28 or October 3 so I took the earlier appointment. I emailed Lilly on Tuesday about the status of my results and didn’t get a response. The doctor warned me that sometimes there is delay if Montreal /emedical people don’t reopen our emedical for resubmission. They had my first medical submitted to Montreal in about a week. So I have no idea what is causing the delay.
  6. @LAMA9 I did not file WOM. I was asked to redo medical on Sep 15. Called dr. Lyndon M. In Toronto next day and told the earliest appointment was 12 days out. Two weeks later now since the appointment and still waiting on the results. They don’t answer the phone. Where did you redo your medical and how long did it take for them to send the results to Montreal?
  7. @ohmygodI was asked for a new medical this week. They asked for my passport a few weeks back but in the meantime my medical expired. Doesn’t the medical get sent electronically from the doctor?
  8. Did you hear back yet on your visa? I sent my passport back and it arrived yesterday per my tracking # But no CEAC date change yet and wondering how long it takes to go from offsite mailing facility to the consulate. Have you got any updates ? Was wondering what to expect.
  9. Thanks. Anybody else asked to send passport via courier? @CanNursetoUS @ohmygod What should I expect? How long does it take to get to consular officer from the offsite mailing facility? I did not use canada post since FedEx was faster. My medical is expiring in two weeks so naturally I am nervous as it’s been a long stressful process. Congratulations to those who got issued and best of luck to those still waiting.
  10. I’m not sure what you mean by internal courier. The instructions included a courier In Authorization certificate for purolator or bls. I brought it to purolator and they had no idea what to do with it. So I brought it to FedEx and used the mailing address provided since they have overnight delivery and included the barcode page with my name and case number, as instructed, in my courier envelope. Anybody else know how long it takes to get to the consular officer?
  11. @LAMA9 I am in AP and was finally asked to sent My passport back. They said I could use the courier of my choice, at my expense so I used FedEx rather than Canada post. I got confirmation from FedEX it was delivered this morning to the mailing address in Sainte-Catherine. What happens next? Anybody know how long does it take to go from the mail sorting facility to the consular section for visa issuance . Will my CEAC date get updated for the receipt of the passport? I was told to write time sensitive on the courier envelope since my medical expires in a few weeks.
  12. Let’s hope they still respond to the @state.gov email , but maybe they are hoping to reduce the volume this way by taking it off their website. While I agree the bulk of their emails are not urgent, there are some that are indeed urgent/valid issues that need resolution, and in need of a response from the consulate visa operations. Most consulates overseas have phone, email and inquiry form options. It’s beyond frustrating when you need a response and it either takes two weeks to get one or no response at all.
  13. @Bob30 thank you. Do you know If they are still monitoring the previous Montreal-IV-DV@state.gov email ? I didn’t know about the new email address for inquiries. I am wondering g if I should resubmit to the new email address .
  14. Quick question regarding emailing Montreal consulate. Are you supposed to always get an auto response from IV email address? I didn’t get one today, and now wondering if that means they didn’t get my email somehow. Anybody want to share their experiences?
  15. Thanks. Good to know they probably got my email even though I didn’t get the auto-response about being backlogged. Last time I emailed them it was almost two weeks for them to send me a response. Another time I received no response at all.
  16. Quick question regarding emailing Montreal consulate. Are you supposed to always get an auto response from IV email address? I didn’t get one today, and now wondering if that means they didn’t get my email somehow. I have gotten the auto response in the past.
  17. @jan22 I was able to get a call back from USCIS. However all he said was that they won’t look into it until 45 days after the approval, which I calculate is June 12. So not helpful at all. Then I would need to call back and put in a service request to the Nebraska Service Center and wait and hope . I am not in the USA so hopefully they will be able to put in a service request for me. I don’t know what went wrong for Montreal consulate to say they didn’t get the approval. Can’t they just look up my receipt number that I provided to them anyways ? is there some sort of consular database that didn’t get updated with the approval? I’ve heard of this happening with the PIMS system for non-immigrant visas. USCIS expedited my I-601. It was approved in a month, which is fantastic, but the consulate is not taking any action on it sadly, I am stuck and at a loss.
  18. @LMIVIt took 13 days for Montreal to respond to my email. I can’t say their response was very useful, but they did respond. I had to reply back to their email for more information and now I have to wait for a response all over again. It took me 26 months from DQ to interview at Montreal in the EB category. I hope you hear from them soon!
  19. @Crazy Cat it is one thing to wait for instructions vs I simply want to know if they have received the waiver approval and noted it in my file . my attorney said is supposed to happen upon approval . She said that sometimes there are issues with interagency communication. How long do I wait to find out that USCIS never sent it or something like that. I could be waiting a long time…
  20. Thanks @aaron2020. This is a waiver not an immigrant petition. The process is different. The I-797 approval notice states right on it that they have “Notified the consulate with information about the waiver approval”. This is written as if it has already happened. My attorney agrees and said also says that normally the consulate is notified upon approval. It is part of the approval process. Montreal is saying they “ have not yet received the approved waiver”. I understand instructions will take longer , but rather I am just trying to confirm why the are saying they have not received the approval when USCIS is saying that they have been “notified”. How long is a reasonable amount of time to confirm they have received the waiver? My research tells me that this usually takes place within a few days to up to two weeks for the consulate to update your file.
  21. My I-601 waiver was approved by USCIS April 26, 2022 for my immigrant visa case. I noticed that my CEAC date of last update has not been updated, suggesting they did not get the waiver approval notice. I was waiting for instructions from the embassy after the approval but did not hear from them. So I emailed the Montreal consulate and after two weeks they responded that they did not yet receive the approved waiver and will not proceed without it. What am I supposed to do ? I scanned and emailed the approval notice to them (I-797 from USCIS) in reply to their email. Normally the consulate is supposed to be notified directly by USCIS upon approval. Has this happened to anybody? How do I get this resolved ? Please help!
  22. @JR90 @ice-qube@BatmanFlow@ohmygod 2 weeks tomorrow and still have not heard back from them. I got the auto reply immediately but nothing since. There doesn’t seem to be any consistency in how timely they respond or if they respond at all. Do you think it is safe to resend an email after two week mark if no response?
