    Hey Everyone,

I followed this thread since my Approval Date was August 9th. However, I originally received an RFE on May 19th. It took me a while, mostly waiting for the necessary paperwork to be sent to me, to fulfill the RFE. Just wanted to update my timeline:

    NOA1: April 1st, 2022
    RFE: May 19th, 2023
    NOA2: Aug 9th, 2023

    NVC Received date: N/A???
    NVC Case Date: September 15th
    NVC In-Transit Date: September 15th!!!

    Consular Ready Date: September 22nd.
    Consular Interview Date: October 20th.

I inquired about my case date on September 9th, and they wrote back after a couple days and stated that it was "recently received." After a couple days more, I decided to write back asking what date was it received so I can follow their posted "timeframes." They wrote back the next day saying the consular would let me know when our file would be received. The following day I get the FTP email saying our case was on the way to the consular, with our case number! I couldn't believe it as I thought we were still a couple months away from the NVC "entering data and creating our case." I checked the visa status with the case number they gave me and it was in fact "In Transit."

Still not sure when the case was actually received, and not sure how it was moved along the process so fast. In total I was able to schedule an interview 47 days after the NOA2 approval.

I feel you. I’m on the 6852x range and I think there is only 2 or 3 left that need to be processed including mine. It’s been close but nothing yet. Seeing those January numbers is concerning but I do believe that anomaly will be left to late 2021 early 2022 filers, unfortunately, as they were JUST improving. We may be spared from this.

    just gotta keep the faith!

Hi folks! April 2022 is officially in the "active month"* zone, and hopefully very soon in the "hot zone"*. Yesterday (26th of April), USCIS approved 15 cases, which is 7.07% of all yesterday's (final) processing*. February entered "active month"*, when March was 37.45% done/processed. I wish you all a lot and fast approvals!! ❤️

Feel free to follow the full data here.

    *(final) processing = making final decision -> approved/denied/withdrawn;
*hot zone = more than 10% of processed cases focused on a mentioned month
*active month = when USCIS actively (final) processing mentioned month

Which is why they still have the 16.5 month estimate on their website. They know they have up to 16.5 months to stretch out those remaining 30% (to get it to 80%). Eventually, that number will go down and the approval range will also shorten. For now, since its at 16.5 months, they will continue to stretch it out until historical numbers catch up, which won't be for another few months in my opinion.

I really do hope that it’s 400+ in one day and it’s a start of a new trend! But I will cautiously look at this as 530 in 2 days. Something about the 100 cases on Monday and the site being down today is funky. But either way it’s still a good start for the week!

March counted for 12% of cases which means more cases were processed for March than January! I didn’t think it was going to switch over that quickly but wow! Definitely exciting. I mean it sucks for anyone not in the first 60%….

Ronald, kind advice: Back it up with data . This is such an emotionally distressed forum that does not need more wise words, to be honest.
Yes, there are random March approvals, but there are also random April and May approvals (it is expedites or just "real randoms"). A trend is, however, not defined by its outliers but by the bulk of data points. Stick to the data that is widely accepted by most in the forum (e.g. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sN2bo1xZhs8oVU6-QDUdBXBX2_ci8_QJ0wiz59Gp6H4/edit#gid=915902491) and kindly just suffer with us. 😅

I didn't mean to be discouraging or pessimistic. I’m in the same boat as you. My case is actually April 1st and we’ve all been going through the same rollercoaster of emotions here. I was just trying to answer you. Your logic is sound, they SHOULD touch your group before anyone else. But if you have been following the many threads like everyone else they just do it randomly.

It actually it does appear some March cases are being approved now but they seem they are coming from random groups. I wish nothing for the best for everyone here!

What state do you live in? If you need a lawyer and depending on the state, some states have publicly funded immigration institutes that can address your questions concerns for free. They even have lawyers within their network that you can consult with for a nominal fee. And if you decide to hire a lawyer through them, they will scale their rate depending on your income. Good Luck!

I believe this too. There will be ups and downs throughout the month but from what I’ve been seeing there seems to be a trend in the right direction. I like the way you think!

Yea that would be really insane. Unfortunately, and I hate to say this but I think that March 2021 - April 2021 will be the ones that end up waiting the longest. I think it will only improve if slightly from here on out. USCIS has set goals and timeframes for FY 2023. In order to achieve this they cannot go into September with a 17+ month wait and magically reverse this within a year. The process has already started since their announcement. Hiring and training takes time. I mean what’s the point of even setting goals if by 2022 filers are going to see 24+ month waits? At some point it has to be fixed, probably sooner than later.

Is there a major chance they miss this and simply push back the goals, yes. But by the agency simply acknowledging they are aware of this backlog I think is a huge deal. It is nothing to just goff at. When has any government agency ever acknowledged their shortcomings? At least they are aware and trying to do something about it. Imagine all this without any acknowledgement from the agency. Then I could easily expect a 17+ wait in September.
