  1. Phone apps like “case tracker” let you put in, and search, 500 receipt numbers at a time. This is only a small window and it includes more than just I-129f. Not saying this is how the author is getting the numbers, but this is one way to do it programmatically. We are Feb 22 filers and have seen the wait times jump from 10.5 months to 15.5 months AFTER the USCIS had published in March of 2022 that the goal was 6 months. It’s all conjecture until you get an answer, but it can keep your brain busy ☺️
  2. Efficient government work... Albeit, this does not consider all other administrative handling (systems, lock-box, etc.) Not making excuses, rather IMO, it takes a lot of nerve to raise rates when times have gone up steadily since the promise last March to improve times. Lower wait times, and then show why the need for more money exists.
  3. <vent> All this amazing prompt service, and fee increases? Wow, how lucky we are!! </vent>
  4. Thank you for the editorial and I am delighted that you were able to submit successfully. I had not found this site yet and was working from a patch work of information, that said, all of my packet was indexed and numbered allowing the agent to quickly move to the relevant location for information. Oh, and I guess I am glad that you are not the reviewing agent, and that is 'step stool packet', not 'bug killing packet'.
  5. Honestly, I don't know. What had taken under a year is now almost two years depending on who you talk too... My NOA1 is Feb 7 2022 for K1. I just keep waiting - like everyone else!!
  6. FYI…. https://www.filipinocupid.com/en/general/termsofuse 3. The Service The Service is an internet information service that facilitates contact between members who may or may not be seeking friendship or a relationship. 7. Mine was actually free because of a legal service but I pay monthly for through work. But I’ve been quoted about the same amount and I agree with what everyone says here. I think a lawyer is good if you have questionable or risky situation but for the most part even with the lawyer it’s all on the petitioner in the beneficiary to produce and organizing documents all the data. Really feel like being a lawyer can do for you is look it over. That’s just my opinion
  8. At the request of my lawyer, we submitted a completed I-134 with my I-129f. Although it was agreed upon that it is not necessary, the lawyer had good history including the declaration for past I129f submissions. As far as the marriage broker thing, I also included the T&C of Filipino Cupid with declarations from my fiancee and myself attesting that our initial meeting, discussions and ensuing relationship was not organized or arranged by any third party, it was of our own doing. Additionally, I highlighted the two sections of the T&C related to marriage broker. Now, all that said, I have never done this before and all the advice I was told is 'the burden of proof is on the petitioner for the I-129f and beneficiary for the DS-160 (K1 visa)' so, our I-129f package was comprehensive and detailed making very clear that we: Met in the last two years, Are legally able to marry, Fully intend on getting married within the 90 day window, Petitioner can provide for beneficiary, and our relationship is strong and on-going. (500+ pages later... 😄)
  9. Where are you finding that information? I have been looking to see the status of the various filings and must be either blind or google challenged....
  10. Good point. Wow, just when you think you understand all of this.... Thanks!
  11. I agree with all that is said, but in the Philippines, if the Filipino presents a CENOMAR, wouldn't that be clear proof of no marriage? What about rings? My fiancee gave me a ring finger sized silver band that I wear on my right hand (think 'promise ring'), and she wears her engagement ring with a smaller band above to hold the engagement ring (she has very small fingers). And yes, the engagement ring is properly sized, she was just worried about it. I ask because there are a lot of pictures of us due to the four personal visits while we wait for I-129f NOA2 that show our hands with rings.
  12. This link now shows 120 days: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html
  13. I too have used Wise and would transfer to my GCash, but am now using the Charles Schwab debit card. I set up an account and will be giving my fiancée the debit card. The monthly rebate of the ATM fees and decent exchange rate is what sold me.
  14. I may be off base, but I think the OP question is that if their 'non-gun' family knew OP had a gun, could the family influence the outcome. But as I have read, it is not a group interview, so this would not play a role. IMO, if you are a gun owner, that is your business (provided it is all legal), and I wouldn't advertise it to others except spouse. Just my two cents...
  15. Thank you. So what I see for Manila is then 22 days for K1 interviews?: Manila Nonimmigrant Visa Type Appointment Wait Time Visitor Visa 475 Calendar Days Student/Exchange Visitor Visas 8 Calendar Days All Other Nonimmigrant Visas 22 Calendar Days
  16. Where did you find this information? For Manila, I only found for B1/B2 and non-immigrant. Nothing specific. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html
  17. I agree, NVC and the rest of it, in my mind, are more realistic timelines for government. What is frustrating as a petitioner (and a citizen), is our government not prioritizing family petitions over others. Not saying amnesty and employment aren’t important, but these wait times are painful especially when the USCIS is just increasing the backlog. Thank you all for your comments and answers.
  18. First off, if this has been asked 100x, my apologies (but I did look for it ) We are all very aware of the "Check Case Processing Times" on the USCIS website. Now that the CSC for the I-129f has clicked to 14 months, it is making me wonder.... When I filed back in early February 2022, the site said 10 months (or there shortly after). Now it shows 14 months. Which timeframe would be / could be expected, the 10 months when I filed, or the current 14 months? Why I ask is this little gem I found: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/more-info (I just love it when the USCIS does math...) Thank you all! -Kurt How Is the Case Inquiry Date Calculated? This is how we calculate the case inquiry date: Case Inquiry Date = [time to complete 93% of adjudicated cases] – [today’s date – receipt date] Example: If you checked our processing times webpage on Jan. 1, 2022, for a form you filed on Jan. 1, 2021, and the time to complete 93% of adjudicated cases was 13 months, your case inquiry date would be calculated as: Case Inquiry Date = [13 months] – [Jan. 1, 2022 – Jan. 1, 2021] = [13 months] – [12 months] = one month In this example, we estimate that you would be able to contact us in one month. The tool will provide the exact date for you. If the calculation for the case inquiry date produces a negative number, you will be able to submit a question about your case.
  19. Thank you, This is exactly what I was thinking / worrying about. Strangely enough, my fiancee received her temporary CFO and now we are waiting on the stamp. Not exactly sure what/how it happened, but IMO if we get the stamp for the passport, that will be one more check box 'checked' in this seemingly never ending list of K-1 activities!
  20. Hello Everyone! Just found this thread. We were filed (I-129F) on Feb 7, 2022. Understand and feel your angst. Just wanted to say hello and good luck! -Kurt
  21. That would be my hope. But so far the times have been going up, but we shall see.
  22. My fiancée is from Pasig, Rizel (NCR), and I am from Moscow Idaho. Great thread. Enjoyed reading these!!
  23. Oletha sweet corn - the best is from Delta!!
  24. I’m regards to my fiancée, she has not traced out of her country before (no passport stamps) and my worry was that she may be offloaded at BoI exit. We were able to secure the temp CFO certificate and we will attempt travel to Bali this November. We will be together and traveling to/from MNL with my return flight to the USA from MNL, so, it will show we need to return - along with an AOS, and proof of round trip airfare etc. for the Bali vacation. in regards to how we filed in February, I secured a visa to the Philippines and landed 11/30/21. Yes there was lockdown, but I was there to finish my SRRV (visa), which is how I was allowed in country. The only “work around” I was aware of at the time. It was neither cheap nor easy, but none of this is either of those. we met on Dec 4th and filed / NOA 1 on 2/7/22, and like most, packed a lunch because we will be waiting for awhile. I appreciate all the comments, input and questions. Thank you.
