    That's 👍 👍 👍 👍 USCIS will find it very difficult granting citizenship to someone owing government money. Always endeavor to encounter them during the citizenship interview with a zero balance government Dept. It's also a sign of a good moral character.

    It will be very great if your balance is Zero by the interview day. Because some officers find it very difficult to schedule you for an oath ceremony when you're still owing the government. In their minds, there is no guarantee that you will continue with the payments after the citizenship has been granted.

    It doesn't represent anything at all. Some people still have 3 months posted after the interview and the oath ceremony.

    My prayers is that you should get a favorable officer who will ignore it and schedules you for oath ceremony. Some officers are more inclined to grant citizenship without considering that too early filing than others.

    Did you have any approved form I-360 ? Because just mentioned vawa . Also, I noticed that you had to defend the abuses you went through during the interview

    Yeah, your concerns are very correct. Hope you will get your withdrawal as quickly as possible for you to able to send the new form. But don't send it until the former one is cleared. My thoughts in all this is that, once an officer wants to give you hard times with your interview, that's where he starts considering those facts. There are also many people who have gotten their N-400 approved with cases as yours without any problems and withdrawals. Some officers are more procedural than others. That's my thoughts on that.

    If I'm at your place,I will wait until the withdrawal becomes effective before I send the new application. If not, I can create another problem as double application at the time. Because,if in their system the first application is not yet withdraw and second one comes,it may result as a double application under the same Alien number. Relax a little bit and do not play gamble with your applications. It's a lot of money and double stress. It may also go through, but they never know with USCIS.

    Yes, sincerely think that you messed yourself up by asking the withdrawal of your initial N-400, because the always wait for you to reach the 3 before calling you for anything.

    Did you got your green card through marriage with a US citizen? If yes, I don't see any problem with your first N-400.

    We have the 90 days early filing process. That's why you will only be called for interview after you have clocked the 3 years anniversary. I didn't still see any mistake. Some minor mistakes can easily be corrected during interviews

    It's true, I don't see any problems. You still met the 90 days early filing criteria. I got my Green on the 31st of August 2022. My 90 days early filing was due on the June 2nd 2025. I summited my application on June 8th and everything is going perfectly well. So I don't see that you did any mistake from what you are saying. I will be clocking exactly 3 years of green Card this coming August 31st.

    Very interesting timeline! I also filed under the same 3 years provision and 90 days advanced filing. I'm sure that I will also be scheduled for interview when I clocked 3 years residency as a LPR and that should be this August 31st.

    If they come, are they applying the N-600 as far as still under 18 years? Or they must go through a normal I-485 adjustment of status process?

    If you are granted US citizenship when all your under 18 years children are still abroad, but their birth certificates listed and submitted on your N-400 at the moment of oath swearing. Can they also apply for a US passport when they entered US under ESTA visa program? At their entry, they still do not have any social security number yet. How to proceed in this case? @OldUser, your thoughts on this.

    Unless it's the same day interview and oath ceremony. Because, sometimes at the end of the interview the officer can immediately scheduled you to go and take the oath for citizenship certificate. But they always take back their green Card only after the oath has been sworn to become officially an American citizen in the best of my knowledge.

    True. I tried to upload version and it was rejected because I didn't pay the full amount. The reduced fee or waiver only work by mailing your completed form with all the evidence.
