  1. Thanks for letting us know that USCIS always asks for any new update and reviews the case before proceeding with the oath ceremony..
  2. Thanks and glad to know that. I was a little bit concerned about the shut down, thinking that it will affect pending cases and interviews.
  3. Thanks for the answer. I think that the physical presence is always met before the approval. Someone can only make this type of international travel between the approval and the oath if it's really an emergency or maybe the dates are too far away. In this case of figure, you are still a foreign national until after the oath has been taken. Am I correct?
  4. I have two questions. What about if All your previous and expired working permit are lost ( you don't have them anymore)? Are they gonna continue asking for it? Is there any problem if you traveled between your interview and the oath ceremony day ?
  5. I thin that your spouse can. Even if they can't all get inside, they can still wait for you outside and celebrate together after. I attended several friend's oath ceremony, I waited for them outside and sometimes in my car. We definitely met outside after the oath for pictures and fun times. You can't get into the Dallas office if you don't have an appointment letter.
  6. Thanks To follow up with your experience, I think the best option is to go first for the passport, Depending of the number of time it's taking for issuing the passport, schedule an appointment for SSA updates. Hoping to receive the passport and your citizenship certificate back before the SSA appointment date.
  7. In terms of rapidity, Is it the first thing to do before applying for US passport? I heard that they are no longer walk in services with the SSA for citizenship updates, only through appointments.
  8. The better advice is to stop checking for it. You won't be called for interview until you have reach the 5 years green Card anniversary in the general provision filing process. One week before my interview was scheduled, my progress time was showing 10 months estimated. The same day I was scheduled for interview, guess what!? 28 months was now posted on my progress timeline as estimate. Eventually, this interview is in less than 5 weeks time. So, it means NOTHING 🚫 🚭 🚭 Some peoples still have 3 months posted even after the oath ceremony has been sworn. Relax till after 2 to 3 weeks of your green Card anniversary.
  9. I was very concerned because my interview is next month ending. This means that I should continue focusing on studying the 100 questions version. Am I correct πŸ‘?
  10. Vawa has nothing to do with that. It's a self petitioning case Nothing to do with it. Gren card base on an approved I-360
  11. My interview has been scheduled ending October. It's exactly as I have been expecting. Exactly 2 weeks after my green Card clocked 3 years. Just a gentle reminder that I did the 90 days early filing. Glory and honor be to Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Savior in whom I put all my TRUST.
  12. I also filed my N-400 last June 6th. No interview scheduled yet either. 3 years provision (vawa). I will appreciate to have more of citizenship experiences through vawa posted. Is there a specific forum for that? Thank
  13. I know wright 😊 😊 😊 You can only do what you are able to do.
  14. That's πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘ USCIS will find it very difficult granting citizenship to someone owing government money. Always endeavor to encounter them during the citizenship interview with a zero balance government Dept. It's also a sign of a good moral character.
  15. It will be very great if your balance is Zero by the interview day. Because some officers find it very difficult to schedule you for an oath ceremony when you're still owing the government. In their minds, there is no guarantee that you will continue with the payments after the citizenship has been granted.
  16. It doesn't represent anything at all. Some people still have 3 months posted after the interview and the oath ceremony.
  17. My prayers is that you should get a favorable officer who will ignore it and schedules you for oath ceremony. Some officers are more inclined to grant citizenship without considering that too early filing than others.
  18. Did you have any approved form I-360 ? Because just mentioned vawa . Also, I noticed that you had to defend the abuses you went through during the interview
  19. Yeah, your concerns are very correct. Hope you will get your withdrawal as quickly as possible for you to able to send the new form. But don't send it until the former one is cleared. My thoughts in all this is that, once an officer wants to give you hard times with your interview, that's where he starts considering those facts. There are also many people who have gotten their N-400 approved with cases as yours without any problems and withdrawals. Some officers are more procedural than others. That's my thoughts on that.
  20. If I'm at your place,I will wait until the withdrawal becomes effective before I send the new application. If not, I can create another problem as double application at the time. Because,if in their system the first application is not yet withdraw and second one comes,it may result as a double application under the same Alien number. Relax a little bit and do not play gamble with your applications. It's a lot of money and double stress. It may also go through, but they never know with USCIS.
  21. Big congratulations πŸŽ‰ πŸŽ‰ πŸŽ‰ πŸŽ‰
  22. Yes, sincerely think that you messed yourself up by asking the withdrawal of your initial N-400, because the always wait for you to reach the 3 before calling you for anything.
  23. Did you got your green card through marriage with a US citizen? If yes, I don't see any problem with your first N-400.
  24. We have the 90 days early filing process. That's why you will only be called for interview after you have clocked the 3 years anniversary. I didn't still see any mistake. Some minor mistakes can easily be corrected during interviews
