I guess, I just want everything to be perfect ,because I have an incarcerated husband I know they will scrutinize me more. I just want it done correctly rather than mistakes . OMG! Thank you for actually taking the time to explain it to me , this all very confusing to me , I'm not exactly well versed on immigration and my husband even less so and as I already mentioned in prison , I honestly cannot thank you enough for showing me such kindness and explainimg it step by step . What I am confused about is part 7 having to write on a separate piece of paper why I should be granted advanced parole. Am I supposed to explain it on paper and if so is there a specific format ? Thank you being a kind understanding and helpful soul , not many people are . 

@Jill Mackie Happy Saturday! I just wanted to reassure you that your concern is valid but really, it comes from not being familiar with the process. And that’s OK.
 
You should not be worried about CBP denying you entry to the US. I know it seems too good to be true but in this case, it is. 
You married a US citizen, and after filing for AOS,  your visa overstay is forgiven. If that is your worst and only crime, that’s gone. Just like that.
 
The I-131 form is a bit confusing because it serves many purposes. You use it to apply for emergency advance parole, humanitarian parole, refugees and stateless people use it as a “passport” if they can’t get one from their country of origin; lastly, green card holders use it apply for re-entry permits if they plan on being outside the US for longer than 1 year but less than 2 years.
 
You want to submit it. It’s free. I should also explain that USCIS runs extensive background checks before approving the I-765 and I-131. So really, once they approve it, you can be rest assured that you won’t have any issues re-entering the US if you decide to leave the US.
if you apply for both the EAD and I-765, you will get a combo card. It serves as proof of employment authorization and allows you to te-enter the US.
 
sometimes people even fear traveling without their US citizen spouse, but again, there is no issue. My husband went to Malaysia by himself and had no issues. Sure, the CBP agent will take  you to a secondary inspection room and ask you a few questions - your husband’s name, yours, will confirm that you’re still married, done. 
 
sometimes people spend a long time in that secondary inspection room because CBP is running behind but as scary as it sounds everyone gets through it just fine.
 
I would just apply for both the I-765 and I-131. (And on the I-485 request USCIS to notify the Social security administration to issue you a SS card as soon as you’re eligible - actually, the check box may be in the I-485 or I-765, I forget now).
