Guys - I’m separated from my husband right now and it’s brutal!
is it bad to keep emailing the consulate for answers until I get a reply? An immigration lawyer told me it won’t hurt. All I had to do was submit my police check and it’s 3 weeks in the process already!

Umm, you do know that there is a vaccine waiver available for intending immigrants, so spreading the mis-information that an intending immigrant has no choice is irresponsible; after-all this is an immigration board.  Now, most people will chose not to add this additional hoop to their already frustrating immigration process, but it is there.

Millions, eh?  That seems like a lot.

    Of (increased) hyperbole.

    Unvaccinated against WHAT, exactly?

Also, please note that there is a HUGE difference between not being vaccinated and not opting for an experimental (NON-FDA-APPROVED) shot today.

You can always choose not to fly then. People's paranoia doesn't give them the right to force a medical treatment on me or my family in order for us to travel.

Word is Biden wants to impose a vaccine mandate for anyone who wants to fly US citizen or not. We are planning a trip to visit my wife's family next year or as soon as the Philippines lifts their covid restrictions. She hasn't seen them in 5 years and they have never met our 3 year old but if vaccines are gonna be required we aren't going I guess.

So I had the our immigration lawyer message the embassy and I personally have messaged the embassy as well. However, We both get the same response “your case is currently under AP, once we have new information concerning your case we will send you an email with an update.” It’s frustrating but I guess we have nothing but to wait 😞

Waiting for an IL has been excruciating...I should be in the next batch, but it's just hard to believe until I actually see it.
If they schedule interviews for one month of backlog of DQ dates, I should be in, but I can't help but think of "what ifs" as they did't even cover a full month last time.

I even requested for a new police certificate in case my interview doesn't happen before its expiration in July just to eliminate every uncertainty that I can possibly eliminate.

I literally am dreaming about IL’s being issued. I don’t even get one, I just dream about it happening 😂 these are the longest months of my life!

I can! I was in your shoes a few months ago. I'd encourage you to email the consulate, it forces them to check your case and I think can trigger them to move things forward that have just been sitting there. They never replied when I emailed but my case updated the next day. Keep an eye on the date in CEAC – even if it still says "Refused," the date last updated changing is a good sign your paperwork is being processed.

The consulate received my updated police certificate on Dec. 29 and my status changed to Issued Jan. 8. Received in the mail Jan. 17. I had the Christmas/New Years backlog working against me so hopefully yours is quicker! It does mail extremely fast. I had my visa sent to Alberta and it arrived within a day and a half, Canada Post Express.

You can email them. Montreal rarely takes less than six weeks to issue the visa, if it's refused at the interview - so you might get a generic response to your email.
