Yeezy69 got a reaction from Chancy in NVC to SG Embassy Wait Time
Sorry for the late response! I received my interview slot about 1-2 weeks after DQ. You have to schedule to do your medical prior the interview.
The actual interview will be about 4 weeks after DQ I believe. Good luck!

It seems that the NVC is DQ'ing people even though there is a question mark on their ability to meet the financial requirements, this maybe a good or bad thing.  Previously people who were using assets struggled at this stage as they needed to get various proofs and much was rejected at the NVC stage. This may be good as it lets you skip to the interview and prove the financial requirement there, but this could be bad if you get to the interview and CO rejects the case due to financial requirements not being met.

Read various posts on here about proving your assets, many struggled trying to show assets that can be used that would not impose a significant financial burden on the person. Our attorney and many others have always advised to use a co-sponsor as it's the fastest route through the process.

From what I understand from all the posts I've seen, the Case FE review note that you received does not prohibit you from being documentarily qualified. However, you are required to prove that you are financially able to support your beneficiary when they become a greencard holder, and this decision is up to the consular officer. I would still wait to see the DQ email (the title of the e-mail should include the information that you are DQ'd) just to be sure, but the case FE review note should not affect the date of your interview, so you can rest assured.

However, you need further financial evidence/a joint sponsor and preparing those before the interview can save you time in order not to delay your visa in case they are requested, depending on your specific conditions, you may not need a joint sponsor but most people choose not to risk it. But you mention that your assets are well above the 5x threshold, so it would appear that you have no reason to worry. To state again, this decision is up to the consular officer and is decided on a case-by-case basis.

That's all the info I have, I hope it is of help. Good luck!

Current case review time: As of 27-DEC-2021, we are reviewing documents submitted to us on 24-SEP-2021.

We are almost at the end of September guys. So most of us who are yet to be reviewed should be done this week. 🤞

    Just got approved! Thank God!!!!!

Submitted documents on the 18 and 21st. Then I submitted W2 in other documents on October 27th because of some posts on visa journey saying even if you upload your tax transcript and return you still must upload your w2.

I’m so happy. I thought my new submission date was going to be October 27th but that didn’t happen

Yeezy69 got a reaction from Jemry in HELP & ADVICE REQUIRED *Case transfer without notice
First of all, congratulations to those who have received your approvals on your I-130s!

I am a late June 2020 filer and I have yet to receive any update on my case on USCIS website. My spouse is a US Citizen and our case was assigned to Nebraska Service Center. It was later transferred to Potomac Service Center without any notification. To my understanding, they should have updated the case with a transfer notice but we never received anything via email, text, mail. and even under our USCIS account. We contacted them and they were not able to tell us exactly when was our case transferred or why was it transferred. All they said was, it was transferred probably around July 2020 and you should have received a notice BUT we never did. It has already been almost 8months and still the status has not changed since June 2020. My status still reflects "Case received and email notice was sent". And the officer told us that our case was actually opened for review sometime in August 2020 but then again, we never got any updates at all. Potomac has a much longer processing time compared to Nebraska which is 6-8months. I contacted them because I was not able to submit a case inquiry online when my PD was past due.

It is very frustrating to be left in a limbo like that. I've seen multiple June 2020 filers at Nebraska Service Center (with a later PD than us) getting approvals and already at the NVC stage while here I am not knowing what to expect or do. I felt like we are being singled out and transferred for no apparent reason. If they can review cases with a much later PD than us, why was my case specifically transferred out? And why was there no transfer notice at all? If my case was opened and reviewed, why is there no update at all?

I have seen on USCIS website that you can request for a expedite on your case if it is a clear USCIS error. Can anyone enlighten me if that is possible or share your similar experiences?
I just feel this is very unfair treatment especially since I paid the fees and collate the documents/evidences just like everyone else.

    Thank you and God Bless.
