Thank you. Nigeria has bad people but what country doesn’t?! Hmm what God cannot do does not exist o. It can never exist! I am even waiting for 7am prayers. All the naysayers will hear our testimonies in Jesus name amen. 

Exactly! Always quick to say Nigeria is a high fraud country. There are those of us who are honest. It’s not the whole damn country smh 

I’m so tempted to do that but it means going to the back of the line. Both the embassy and the NVC have backlogs and starting over just seemed like the wrong choice for us though in retrospect, I wish we had done the CR-1 to begin with. Also just FYI Lagos is processing K1 visas but they are working on the cases that were sent prior to or near the start of the pandemic. As for CR-1 they’ve been processing those visas for a while but I’m not sure if that’s a bigger backlog thank K1.

Hmmm thank you o. I even checked random months and saw numbers in the 60s. He can’t know everything about our country. Just to come and be talking rubbish. Lagos was processing K1  visas at a fraction of what it was pre-pandemic while processing other visas in the 100s-1000s. I did not state anything false but I guess if they think they know it all they can carry on. The visa statistics are there for all to see. Rubbish talking. 

People always want to run in on any post regarding Nigeria with their negativity like how is that helpful? This post was her venting about the long delay so why the negativity?

CR-1 visas 254 IR-1 Visas and over 1700 B1/B2 visas!!!! How is this fair???? I can’t reunite with my fiancé but they can process tourist visas??? And marriage visas are priority but not fiancé visas??? If my fiancé was here he’d be my husband. I’m so frustrated. Been sitting at the NVC for a year in two weeks!!! This is so unfair. I’m so upset. Sorry I needed to vent somewhere 

No I didn’t go searching for a 3 year history. I looked at this year. What’s your point? Is 6 K1 visas compared to 200 is the norm and we should be satisfied with that? You realize they haven’t processed in a year but have still ramped back up to normal speeds with other visas right? Meanwhile K1 remains on the back burner while they pretend to be at normal processing times. 

Thank you! Appreciate the support. I mean I’d understand if everyone only had 6 visas processed but clearly they have the capacity to process literally thousands of visas so it’s not that. I don’t understand why K1 visas are not being given any priority. It’s just a painful something. And our people are heartless. They don’t give a damn when you call to ask for help. Ugh 🤦🏾‍♀️

I mean it’s so heartbreaking. How can this still be happening? I understand a pandemic but we are a year out at this point and they are processing thousands of other visas so it has nothing to do with the pandemic now. Just today my fiancé was harassed by vigilantes shattering my heart into a million pieces. I can’t be there for him. He can’t come here. It’s all too much. This is the worst. God please hear our cries 😥

I called as well and they said the same but I called early in the week and still nothing. Coming up on a year being at the NVC. I need to see forward movement. I need a miracle because this is just terrible

I could not have said this better myself. I am happy for everyone who gets to reunite with their loved ones but I also would like to reunite with mine. If my fiancé was here, we would be married already PERIOD. This is evil. They pretend they’re processing K1s but when you look at the numbers for K1 visas processed, it’s abysmal. Nobody deserves this. I cry every single day. My fiancé cries too probably not as much but this is terrible. I don’t know why they have so much power. Thanks for the insight. But how does that explain the number of visas for spouses that were issued compared to the number fiancé ‘s? How do they get to decide that a fiancé is less important? If my fiancé was here we would be married. And while I’m happy to go marry my fiancé in Nigeria what’s the purpose of going to the back of the line and paying all that money to start all over? It’s absolutely unfair and absolutely ridiculous. 6 compared to hundreds. There’s no excuse for that
