Contributed enough cash to the USCIS wastage fund already. Waiting for the current i751 to be adjudicated first before I file an n-400 again.

Guido51 got a reaction from Family in Randone questions (split and merged)
my first i751 and n400 were both denied together because of divorce. my divorce took a while.
after the denial, i got divorced and filed a new i751 (june 2020)
then with the 5 year rule, i filed second n400 (january 2021)
as far as i know i'm not in removal proceedings
now i have i751 and n400 pending. i751 never got transferred after n400. both cases show fingerprints taken as last update.
i hope i cleared the confusion. i'm depressed and broken.
    thanks for any insight.

How'd you come to this conclusion? USCIS told you personally?

Tier 1 officers are third party contractors that read off the screen and they have the exact same information as you do. Don't even bother.

    They can't adjudicate your N-400 with a pending I-751.

Never compare cases. Don't even bother. Your immigration case is unique to you.
Where are you from? What visa were you on when you adjusted status? How long have you been married? Is your ex a USC by birth? Any red flags?
Those are key questions that would help understand your case better. Please answer here but also complete your timeline.

    Hi there,
I filed jointly in may 2019, then updated my case to a divorce waiver in January of 2021, and had an interview in January of 2022. Basically 100% of my interview questions were about my relationship to my ex husband and what were the circumstances of our divorce, but my marriage was out of love so I wasn’t really worried about it. It all went well for me.
i don’t know if there ever is a set rule for uscis that applies to all similar cases :)
    good luck to you!

Our I-751 was transferred to our local office but no update after that. Then we received an interview date for N-400. Just so happens we needed a new I-551 stamp in her passport so we scheduled an info pass and when we went for the stamp we asked if they would be conducting a combo interview. The officer put a note in the system and said they would have to adjudicate the I-751 before approving the N-400. Hoping all goes well tomorrow.

April 27, 2020 filer still waiting on any update.. The case processing page says only cases before 3/31/2020 are able to inquire, so guess another 3-4 weeks of waiting before we can do anything about it...

Similar here.  My wife filed N-400 on January 11, 2022.  Today we received notice that her I-751 was transferred from YSC to National Benefits Center in Lee's Summit on 03/30/2022.

To give Potomac filers some hope, especially those who did not file for citizenship as well:

    Filed/NOA: 5/13/2020
    Biometrics used: 6/13/2020
    Ordered your new card: 3/17/2022
    Case approved: 3/18/2022

Total time: just about 22 months.
No interview, no transfer to another center, no citizenship. Just straight up Potomac.

I know it is extremely difficult to stay sane while waiting for this process to be over. Everytime you inch closer to their deadline, they extend it. It's painful, especially when you see other centers with much shorter processing times. It feels so unreasonably unfair.
All I can say is, try, try, try, as much as you possibly can, to NOT think about it. Go on with your daily life and things you enjoy and love.
    Good luck everybody!

Have you called USCIS and asked to speak to a Tier 2 Officer? They might be able to get you a status update.

Wow processing time moved up. Well may 2020 here, I-751 approved and card received. Applied n400 May 2021. Now ready for my n400 interview. Hopefully soon I will be done with Immigration.

It was a 2 line e-mail.  I told them USCIS needed my A-file and wondered if they had transferred it, gave them my number, no receipt number.  But I never got an answer, so not sure if that is what helped or not.  In the meantime the Senator's office was also doing their inquiries.

Guido51 reacted to Rocio0010 in I had to sue USCIS
To my knowledge, there is no law prohibiting you to do that. Now, the thing is, filing a lawsuit takes a lot of knowledge. They’re sitting on your case -presumably- with an excuse. If you feel prepared to fight for it on your own, then by all means. But know that you might shoot yourself in the foot.
I’m all about DIY, but not when it involves a lawsuit
