We had a big ceremony in a conference center. There were about  a dozen stations each with a couple immigration officers helping out. I arrived, checked in, and they told me which station to go to.

At the station, one officer took my green card while the other checked my documents and confirmed my name from the list. At this time I was handed a manila envelope with a few brochures and a small American flag. They marked something in the forms and took my green card and forms.

We went in the conference room. We seated 6ft apart from each other.  I don't remember the order of all of it but at some point we: heard form 2 speakers, recited the pledge of allegiance, national anthem, heard a message from Biden, and finally we took the oath of allegiance.

Walked out and returned to the same station I had gone before. This time I they were handing out the certificates.

I left with a bunch of brochures (voting, passport, ssn, etc) and a naturalization certificate.
One of the happiest days of my life so far.

I got approved a few days ago. Took exactly 3 weeks. I paid regular service
I just got a text from informed delivery with a tracking number.

I vaguely remember reading a post here in the forum of someone who got denied and after quite a lengthy appeal process was finally able to get his case approved. However, it is not worth it. Waiting an extra 2~3 days will save you a lot of headaches, money, and time.

Finally got my appointment letter today. I got my bio appointment letter (not the bio reuse lots of people got) a month ago. I went to my bio appointment last week.
Today, I logged in to my USCIS account and see that they loaded my interview letter and I am scheduled for the end of august. Wish me luck!

When I was getting my biometrics taken, I overheard an agent tell some other applicant who was there that because of covid my field office could only process 10 applicants per hour instead of their regular 50~60/hr. I guess this explains why it seemed to have taken forever to even get my biometrics appointment.  If there's someone out there still waiting for their biometrics or appointment letter don't be discouraged.

I did sign it. I had that same question. My short signature is what I have next to my photo. However, I read online that you should sign your full name rather than your short signature so that's what I did.

weird question to those who finished. Did you ever get into your USCIS account after your naturalization. I went in today just to see and it still says "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed".
I was expecting to see something like "case completed" or "naturalization completed" or something like that.
    What do you guys see?

remember you have to reside in your new district for 3 months before applying.  It says it right here:  M-480.pdf (uscis.gov)  "You must wait until you have lived in the state or district for three months to apply."
I know there are mixed opinions on this, but I applied online and had no issues. When you file online, you just upload documents without having to worry about mailing it someplace, etc. Also, you know your documents are not going to be lost in the mail.
If you file online, use internet explorer and/or make sure you're not running ad blockers or cookie/privacy blockers, or browser extensions/addons etc. Those are the type fo things that create issues when filing online. You can even use chrome in incognito with all your plugins disabled. If you have a security suite software that monitors network/browser traffic, disable it temporarily. All in all, you want to ensure  nothing is blocking USCIS during your application.

If nothing has changed in your life, then don't upload anything. There's a post here of an applicant who uploaded his latest tax returns there and it increased his estimated wait time dramatically.
If your interview is next week, just bring any new documents with you to the interview.

You have the opportunity to update things at the interview (marriage /divorce, birth or a child, place of work, address, travel out of USA, etc) during my interview, the officer asked me if any of these things had changed since I applied.

If something major happened since you applied, like a conviction or something like that, you may want to check with a lawyer.

Use the USCIS link to check the times. It is based on your field office: Processing Times (uscis.gov)

As for the name change, you should be fine adding the name change request to the N-400. During your interview you may be able to ask the officer the status of judicial ceremonies. Due to covid things are changing all the time. For example, my field office is not doing judicial ceremonies (the ones you need to change your name), others have reported changing their names without an issue, others have reported waiting for months without any news from USCIS after passing their naturalization interviews.

I guess I would add the name change request on your N400 and change your request during your interview depending on  how things are moving around the time when you get your interview.

After reading issues and delays others are facing with the name change, I am starting to think that  getting my name change request removed  from my n400 was for the best. I wanted a name change but my field office was not doing name changes due to Covid.

The officer asked me to modify my n400 request during the interview and remove the name change request. I was told to naturalize with the wrong name and get a name change in my local court right after..

I am now a US citizen and I am working with my local court in my name change. Looking at what some people are going through, I think I prefer being a citizen, forgetting about all the uscis stress, and taking a few extra weeks dealing with a local court instead of uscis.

whatever works... I guess my point here is I went through the same problem and was able to determine my travels accurately using emails, pictures, etc. Other suggested chat history and you suggested maps history.. I think all are valid sources of information. As long as you're able to figure out your exit/entry days accurately, anything works. In my case I was 110% sure I had all my travel data accurately so I used these dates in my N400

    Finally some movement...
I just got my biometrics appointment (not reuse) for July. At least some movement. I saw it was uploaded to my online account today.
I've been a PR for 5 years, I was hoping they were going to reuse my biometrics. I hope everything is fine. 🤷‍♂️
My estimated time went up from 5months to 14 months 🤨 😟
Let's hope that estimate is wrong... It's been almost a year already  let alone waiting another 14 months.

    Good afternoon guys,
I had my combo interview yesterday April 12, 2021 at the Portland, OR office and I thought it would be important to share my experience with the VisaJourney community that has helped me so greatly! ♥♥♥♥
    --------------------- I applied under the 3-year rule -----------------
    ◘ March 5th: Interview was scheduled for 12Apr2021 @ 8:40am
About the date of the interview: ◘ Got in the building 15 minutes earlier. I was wearing high heels and they made me take them off, lol. I went in with my husband as my I-751 application stated it was mandatory he came with me.
◘ I was the 3rd person to get in the building. At 9:05 my name was called, the Immigration Officer asked us to follow her to her office. She was serious and quiet, I kind of wished I had other Immigration Officers, they looked way more easygoing? Who knows.
◘ Once I was sat there I could tell she had a huge pile! She explained it was everything the government had on file for me, since my K1 fiancee visa was submitted (back to 2016!)

1.1. The Removal of Conditions Interview (or I-751)
         1.1.2. About the relationship:

She asked me and my husband:
    – Where did you meet?
    – When did you meet?
    – Where do you like to vacation?
    – What are your favorite activities as a couple? We got talking about snow, skiing, Idaho, Wyoming, etc. It was a fun topic.
    – When did you guys marry?
    – When was the last time you visited her country (Peru)?
    – Did you bring with you any additional evidence since  you last file for your ROC (I-751)? Oh yes, sure thing, I had brought with me 6 big files in those huge folder, containing last 4 year taxes, last 4 year bank statements, utility bills, house deed and the whole stack of purchase info (as we bought a house), titles of both of our cars under our names, health insurance which states my husband is under my insurance, dental insurance, photos, 401k information, life insurance. She looked it at all!!! Big FYI. She was extremely thankful I was so organized. I used colorful tabs for all of my info. Taxes were in one folder, bank statements in another and so on.
    – She then excused herself for taking some time to "enter" some information in her computer. She took like 5-7 minutes, we were just like looking at the wall when she said "Phew, ok, I'm done, you case looks solid, I'm recommending you for approval. We will move onto the N-400 application". She turned to my husband and said he can stay or he can leave for that portion of the interview, either way, he was welcome to participate. He decided to stay.

1.2. The Citizenship section (or N-400)
I can say this experience is a standard as it can get. I've read past experiences and they are all same Modus Operandi:

    – I was asked 6 questions, I got them all right, she stopped right there. They were as follows:
♢ What do we call the first then amendments to the Constitution? The Bill of Rights.
♢ What are two rights in the Declaration of Independence? Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
♢ If the Presidente can no longer serve, who becomes a President? The vice president.
♢ When was the Declaration of Independence adopted? July 4, 1776.
♢ What is one thing Benjaming Franklin is famous for? U.S. Diplomat.
♢ When do we celebrate Independe Day? July 4.
    – For the oral exam, I was asked to repeat after her "What state has the most population?"
    – For the writing exam, I was asked to write in the pad: "California has the most people".
    – She went through all of the Yes/No questions (terrorism, international organizations, if I had commited any crimes, etc. etc.)
    – Officer mentioned I had approved and the last step is the Oath of Allegiance, I should get a letter in the mail and on my online account stating the details of the ceremony. She said I should get a reply from them in a month regarding date and time, no more than that. If that did happened, I should get a hold of them.
    – I asked regarding Same Day Oath ceremonies and she said they still do offer them, but only for those who had driven 4 hours or so, not for locals. I thought it was a lame excuse, we were so few of us, I would dare to say only 6. But anyways, I was of course thankful and left the room.

**Important: I had done a Change Of Address at the time of my Naturalization Application, but it looks like they never got it. they still had my old address on file, thankfully I had brought with me the screenshot of when I changed my address through "My USCIS" and the confirmation letter they had sent me. She looked surprised. You have to go as confidente as you can!
***Important: She asked to drop off GC, Advanced Parole and Employment Card when taking the Oath. Do not forget!

Last update: Checked my account this morning and the N-400 says "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled". Patiently waiting here. Almost there.

There might be some details I left out that I currently don't remember? I apologize.
If any of you have any questions, please don't hesitate to go ahead and ask me.
