  1. Hi - I brought along my tax returns, birth certificate, marriage certificate but the officer did not ask for any. They just asked civics questions, reading/writing, and then form review. For protocols, masks required during the visit, airport-like security check, and pretty friendly staff overall. Just so that you are aware, mine is a 5-year interview and is a pretty clean case - no issues or gaps or travels. I wish you all the best!
  2. Some updates - I had my interview earlier today and I think it went well. Following is the case history: Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled. September 27, 2021 We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review. September 27, 2021 We scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. August 19, 2021 We are actively reviewing your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. Our records showed nothing is outstanding at this time. August 14, 2021 We received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, and sent you a receipt notice. August 11, 2021 Interview was pretty standard - English reading, writing and civics questions. I applied on the basis of five years of residency post GC. I did not have any criminal record, any travel more than 40 days, or any other complications. The office was extremely friendly and nice. Everyone in the office treated me well - right from security, to receptionist, to the office. I'm super thankful to everyone for all the help. I'm here to assist in any way possible.
  3. Hi there - I have my interview the next week. What all documents should I upload in the USCIS my account in the unsolicited evidence area? Thanks in advance for your reply.
  4. I’m not too sure if this is true for all N400 applications. But if you do get an IOE receipt number, then you should be able to connect it in your account.
  5. Thank you so much. Also, I just got the mail with the online access code and I was able to add the case to the online account. So, all's well.
  6. No worries at all - you are just trying to help in good faith and I appreciate that. 🙏 I already have an account with USCIS since I did my wife's I-130 and I-485 process. The only option I get is to add a paper based application, and that requires a code. I don't have an option to add an online case, because I'm guessing that the folks that submitted the form online would have done it from their account itself and hence the case would appear in the account automatically. I guess I'll have to wait for 30 days to see if I receive a code and contact them if not. 🙂
  7. I believe it requires an access code since the application was paper based converted to IOE/electronic case - https://www.uscis.gov/file-online/how-to-create-a-uscis-online-account.
  8. Quick updates - I got my NOA with IOE receipt number. How do I find the access code to add the paper based case to my online account? My I-797C form doesn't have any access codes.
  9. My lawyer filled a paper application. I don't have the NOA yet, but have the application number. I'm guessing after the NOA, I'll get a letter to open an account online which might give an estimated processing time.
  10. How do I find my estimated processing time? I submitted last week and haven't received the NOA yet.
  11. Filed by paper earlier last week. Haven't received NOA yet.
  12. He actually gave me a tracking number and that does show the package delivered to the Texas dropbox location. I paid him $800 for case filing, consultation, and in-person representation during the interview since my case is slightly complicated with multiple longer absences.
  13. Thanks for the reply. The says "Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS." Did this slow down the process for you?
  14. Hello - my lawyer submitted my paper form/application for N-400, but for some reason, I got a receipt number starting with IOE. I thought IOE is only assigned to the forms submitted online. Is this an error and should I be worried about it? Is this something that might delay my application?
