WE got DQ'ed on May 5.. Hoping the embassy will schedule my husband's interview soon. Please share some update if you have received any interview notice. I called the embassy this morning, and the rep said they will resume visa services on a case by case basis. Odd! I told her the website does say that it has resumed services. she even asked where i saw this info. Im not sure what to believe now:(

I still haven't heard a interview date and we got DQ'ed June 18th. I think they are giving interviews to people who got their interviews cancelled during earlier stages of COVID. I also read on the Turkish blog that someone went to interview and there were only 3 people in the consulate to conduct the interview so go ahead and image when we will be getting interview date. I emailed the embassy few times as well but no answer at all. It is a dreadful wait for all of us and I hope that will end soon.

I can't believe I miss this. I was looking at website almost everyday.  Is this just published or it was published on July 13th? I had my DQ on April 20th. Still no interview date scheduled for me. But this is good news!

I have been checking it almost everyday too and It was basically saying the same thing day after day but when I visited today it was updated. This is very good news, since you got DQ'ed in April you will get interview hopefully very soon. I got DQ'ed in June 18th so I'm thinking there's a backlog until we get ours but at least they're resuming services better than nothing.

    Hello,

Does anyone know if the US embassy in Turkey resumed scheduling or rescheduling  immigrant visa interviews????

Hi I got DQed on June 18 and still waiting for a interview date in Ankara embassy. I keep checking their website and Facebook but still no word of them being open and conducting interviews. Turkey has opened up their borders and still in phase one of opening so I don’t know when will the embassy be open. I sent email to embassy and got a generic message stating “Suspended all services except mission critical services and emergency appointment” I do not know what that includes but hoping they will open soon and continue interviews soon.

    Hi All,

Just letting you all know that my I130 has now been approved! Yay. It got approved on June 6th 2020. I have already received my NVC welcome etc and processing the DS260, I864, Financial/civil documents. However, I am little confused. As I am going through consular processing, I would need to do a medical (£330) which is pretty expensive. I am not sure whether this should be done now or closer to the interview date (Whenever that is). I want to avoid having to do a medical twice because of some expiration date or something. The embassy in UK are currently closed and not sure until when? Is anyone in this sort of position? Thanks.

Congratulations! I am in the same boat as you. I got DQ''ed. and now waiting on the interview date. The consulate in my country is closed and not running any visa services at the moment but hopefully they will open back up soon so we can have an interview date. I will be waiting until I actually receive interview date and time and then schedule a medical. I think medical expires after 6 months and giving the situation of the consulates are not open I would suggest that you should wait until you receive a interview date from NVC and then schedule for medical. Best of luck!

    Hi,

I'm a November 2019 filler, I never posted before but I followed this thread.

My case status just changed to "Case Was Sent To The Department of State" does this mean USCIS approval?

Yes this means your case has been approved and sent to NVC. You might want to look at under documents tab in my USCIS account you will see the approval notice/letter has been sent out. This answer is based on my case/status only. Look out for the email from NVC very soon. Hope this helps! Best of luck!

  6. I had a similar situation where my DS-260 payment was cleared within 3 days of payment and updated to "PAID" filed and submit civil documents as well but for AOS it has been sitting on "IN PROCESS for almost two weeks. So then I called NVC and rep told me to submit an inquiry on the website along with bank statement (a screen shot) of the payment that has been processed. I sent the inquiry today along with the screen shot of the statement. Maybe just to be sure give them a call and ask what to do? Good luck to all!

  7. Hello all, It seems like lots of people went through or going through this payment stuck thing. In my case I got the USCIS approval on 5/26 and got the email from NVC same day. I made payments to both AOS and DS-260 and DS-260 was updated to "PAID" within 3 days but as of today AOS still says "IN PROCESS" so it has been almost two weeks. This morning I gave NVC a call luckily I was able to connect and explained the status and rep told me to fill out an inquiry on website and attach a bank statement screenshot with payment showing cleared. I just fill it out and attached the screenshot today. Hopefully they will update it and so I can be done with AOS. Good luck to everyone and please do update as I will when my status changes.

Hi my case is november PD 11/19/2019 too and it changed the date on 5/26/20.  I have seen 2 more cases that happened the same... Hopefully is good news! And we get any approval soon

I had my approval on 5/26. I had only one date change which was 2/27 and second date change to 5/26 which is the date I got approved. Apparently it was transferred at some point from Texas to Nebraska service center. It was also still saying In process under USCIS website but I saw the approval notice under documents. This was my case so I hope this helps you as well keep checking under documents tab too. Good luck and I hope you all will get approval soon. Hang in there its coming!

The DS-261 form is not a requirement. This is only a form that tells the State Department how to communicate with you during the visa process. The two applications that will have to be submitted are the DS-260 for the beneficiary and I-864 Affidavit of Support for the Petitioner. Eight days waiting time seems okay. It will probably update within a few days.

Hi Thank you for your response. I will wait until it opens up. I wast just curious because I didnt see Ds-261 and everyone was talking about and also it kind of weird that one payment clears and other still processing. Anyways will wait another week at least to se what happens.

    Thanks again.

  10. Hello I am at the NVC stage, I have received email with case number and invoice number paid both AOS and DS-260 fees but I haven't seen DS-261 yet. Also DS-260 opened up and I fill it submitted along with civil documents but AOS fee still saying in process thus wont let me fill it. It both has been 8 days since cleared from bank. Does it usually take longer for AOS fee payment? Is it normal that DS-261 hasn't showed up yet? Should I contact NVC or wait? Does anybody faces or has encountered this issue?

    Thank you

NVC portal is being difficult for me. So far I was able to submit fee payments and  IV Application for my spouse, but for my AOS I'm unable to start, it's been stuck processing my payment already 5 business days where on the other hand fee for IV application was available to start application after 3 business days. Another item is the message center of the NVC portal. It says I have a message from NVC but message is not loading (I've attempted different browsers with no luck), seems to be a common issue since last year with quick google search, most replies advising to call them, which I'm currently on hold right now with NVC. Submitting all documents are little trickier since the lock-downs and not a lot of agencies are functioning properly due to the COVID-19. Nonetheless, Uzbekistan being on lock-down I don't think the embassy would schedule an interview anytime soon.

Hi My petition was approved on May 26th and I got the email case number and such from NVC the same day and submitted both payments for ds260 and aos. I dont even see DS261 on the CEAC portal. Anyways my DS260 became available yesterday and I went ahead and filled the application but I was having problems with uploading documents like yourself. I waited until today so I tried this morning to upload civil documents and it was a success. But this time I added comments to each file where you have option to do so, I dont know If that did the trick but I was able upload all civil docs for DS260 and submit it. Still waiting on AOS to be cleared to become available. As of today DS-260 application and civil documents are submitted. I dont know If I am going to ever see DS-261 either but anyways whatever becomes available must complete and sent it.

My suggestion is that make sure file sizes are less than 2mb and try adding comment ( for example just write in that box if you are uploading police certificate "POLICE CERT" and try to upload. Give it a try who know maybe it would help.

    Best of Luck!

    Hi Guys,

I don't know if this is good news but a huge change in processing time for Spouses/children of LPR happened last week for Potomac.
On the previous week the estimated time range was: 9 to 11.5 months and the processing time suddenly changed to: 1 month to 7 months (They are processing October 2019)

I don't know what it means, still no update on my case but I hope it's good sign !

It seems like processing times has changed for most of the service centers. I'll take that good news. Texas service center has changed from 7-9.5 months to 7-5 months for i130 applications. I hope to hear good news any day now hopefully you will too.

    PD: 11/12/2019

    IR 1 USC

    Texas service center
