  1. Depends on when you can schedule your biometrics appointment. Those interviewing at CDJ are required to schedule a separate appointment for biometrics collection prior to the actual visa interview. More info here -- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/CDJ-Ciudad-Juarez.html
  2. Your VJ profile indicates K1. Note that DQ only applies to immigrant visa (IV) cases, not K1. There is no DQ for K1 as there are no documents uploaded to NVC CEAC for K1.

  4. *** Moved from Bringing Family of LPR forum to Bringing Family of USC forum *** Select "Yes" and provide the details about the I-130 petition for your son. Enter "Submitted - In Process" for the Result field. Count your son under item #4 for dependent children. Note that if your mother is not currently in the US, the I-864 should not be submitted with the I-130 petition.

  8. *** Post split off from an old thread about another member's case. Please post questions/updates about your case in this thread. *** Do you mean that your mom already received a PDF file from CFO with her name, a QR code, and heading that states: "This certificate is issued in lieu of the CFO registration sticker that is affixed on passports"? If so, just print that PDF certificate and make sure your mom brings that print-out to the airport, along with her ticket and passport with US visa. No need to go to CFO office.

  15. If your wife's case has already been documentarily qualified (DQ) by NVC, then that means you already paid the immigrant visa (IV) fee for her case. Can't get NVC review without paying IV fee first. So no need to pay any further fees to NVC. Depending on the consulate and their contracted courier, there could be a courier delivery fee for the passport with visa. After your wife gets her spouse visa, you should pay the $220 immigrant fee (ie, GC production fee) to USCIS, not to NVC. No fee for biometrics. As for your stepchild, you submitted a separate I-130 petition, right? Is the I-130 already approved and the case also DQ-ed at NVC? If so, same as in your wife's case -- no MRV fee, no biometrics fee, just pay GC fee after getting the visa for the child.

  17. In that case, I-864 is not the correct form. Your children will become US citizens as soon as they are admitted into the US with IR2 visas, so you will need to fill out 2 separate I-864W forms for them.
  18. Below is a list of recent threads that track the NVC DQ dates that received IV ILs for specific consulates. This is meant to help members find a thread that addresses the question, "My case is DQ, how long til I get my IL?" Note that this thread is intended as an index of tracking threads, not a DQ-to-IL tracker itself. If you have specific info about DQ to IL wait time, or are looking for such info, please post in the relevant thread listed below, not on this thread. If there is no tracking thread for your consulate, feel free to create one, so I can add it to the list later. If you know of an active tracking thread that is not on this list or a thread that is more active than the one listed here, let me know as well. 19. Hi all, Has anybody been able to get NBI clearance recently without an appointment? Or with an appointment but booked for a future date? It's my first time applying since NBI switched to the online system. I'm going to book an appointment but the earliest available slots are already in June I checked all the NBI centers within 2 hours driving distance from my house. I was hoping we'd be able to submit all the NVC-required documents by end of April, but it looks like the NBI clearance will set us back by a lot if I can only get it on my appointment date. If walk-ins are strictly not allowed, I may try just tagging the NBI clearance as not yet available, with a note to NVC that I will bring it to the interview.
