The reason some cases get accepted at various times is because the application that is submitted is from people who have diverse backgrounds. Some adjudicated in a smoother fashion while others take more time. Under the pandemic we have seen cases get approved much faster than in times before. Times before it would take 9, 12 and sometimes 14 months to get a NOA2. We have seen cases that have gone on to 2 and 3 years.
 
Can I share somethings with you that I learned long ago about this process?

    • "the man with the gold makes the rules"
    • it will take as long as it will take 
    • no one with any certainty can tell you when some process will be completed
    • Your sense of urgency will never be equaled to what USCIS, NVC or your embassy demonstrates
    • Your journey is not going to mirror someone else's experience - yours and theirs are not the same
    • They only promised you a YES or NO answer. Never an exact time that their decision would be completed
    • Lowering your expectations will make you a much more relaxed individual

It's definitely an emotional rollercoaster and journey, only us will understand.  Prayers up this week for you all to get that APPROVAL!

Sent in the original first submission for I129F on Feb 4th.  Delivered overnight and sms received 2/11 with case number.  Once I put in the case number into USCIS web tracker it indicated that it was received on 2/5.  Check was processed 2/11 as well.
 
I know we need to be patient, but I do hope for speedy processing!!  Of course, don’t we all?
 
As I’m sure we all have, have spent many hours researching and building the application.  Now it’s all in the hands of the officials!!

The overwhelming majority of I-129Fs without RFEs will be processed within about two months from the first non-expedite we see here for their NOA1 date, though there are some outliers (sometimes very extreme outliers at that).
What happens at individual embassies and consulates is more variable.

Some cases are expedited. A lot of military cases do this, but it’s not limited to just that.
Some people just get lucky.
 
Other people get stuck in background checks, verification of documents, etc. Also, some consulates are severely backlogged, taking several months (or longer) to just get an interview.

It is fraud only if the intent was to marry AND ADJUST status before entering the US........it is visa fraud to enter the US via a tourist visa with the intent to stay and adjust status.

It is! "Unfortunatly", this fraud is forgiven when you're the spouse of a US citizen which I think is unfair for the ones that do it the legal way 😞
 
Well - to clarify: The actual act of getting married is not fraud. You can get married when on a toursit visa as long as you leave the US afterwards and file for a CR1/IR1. The part of staying in the US after marriage and filing AOS makes your initial intent - to not want to immigrate - fraud.
