Tiny update but.....who knows, maybe it means they are moving?? Now it says:

    • Both the U.S. Embassy in Moscow and the Consulate General in Yekaterinburg are currently processing a limited number of interview waiver visa renewals for C1/D, F, M, P1, and P-4 visas. For information on how to apply, please visit https://ustraveldocs.com/ru.

For reference, I looked it up and P visas are for athletes and entertainers, M visas are similar to student visas. Again, very random choice here, especially given the pandemic but...who knows? Maybe they'll add more visas to the list soon.

Edit: looks like they're doing renewals only but still, at least something new was added to the list. 🤷‍♀️

You are amazing for finding these little things for us :) I didn't even notice that!

Yes I am hoping for more changes soon now, at least in the coming months! Thank you so much for your contributions always to us!

I have no issues with proof of infection, and now proof of antibodies. I carry the official lab results with me, and on my phone as a PDF. I even have screenshots of both positive infection and antibody test results. I flew into LAX last week where california implemented a 10 day quarantine for anyone who arrived at LAX. Showed my lab reports and didn't have to do all the paperwork they had. So I think this will work for entry into the country. But some counties are still enforcing the quarantine even if you have been vaccinated ( Thailand).  I was scheduled for my first vaccine a few weeks ago, but since I have the antibodies, they pushed me back. I went to california to work last week because so many people were out of work because of the covid-19, they all tested positive. I said I'll go work, I can't catch it twice. I think I am going to Phoenix soon, they are having issues there also.

    When did you get covid?

People speak pretty good english from our experience. No russian speakers. Regarding the payment I'm not sure how things are now, we were there 4 months ago...

Okay thank you!! At least I know there are ways to get tested so I feel better about going there. Do you remember how long it took to get results back?

Yes, I am in Rockwall county.  Earlier today, the vaccine map showed vaccine available at a Walgreens near me......all gone now.

Oh hey :) I'm in collin county!! I'm sure there will be more available soon. Texas is pretty good at getting things going

Wouldn't you be immune though? Antibodies disappear or drop significantly after any infection is beat because they're no longer needed if there isn't an active infection. The immunity comes from the memory B cells who store a memory of the virus to produce those antibodies again if the virus re-enters your system later.

The problem is there's no way to test for those memory B cells and to prove that you're immune.

I'm not sure, I've read so many articles saying you are only immune for a couple of weeks to saying you may not get it again for a year. I'm not sure what to believe

The hospital was really far from the city center where we were staying so we had to get there on a bus which is not ideal during the pandemic. Then turned out the only way to pay for our testing was at the post office 20 minutes away from the hospital. The price for 2 people was $291.

Can you pay before you go to the hospital to get tested? And do the people speak English or Russian?

  7. 5 minutes ago, OliaNaumchuk said:

Yeah we spent around $800 on testing total throughout out vacation. Most expensive and complicated testing was in Serbia (120 euro per person) Turkey didn't require a test. In Montenegro we got tested for 80 euro per person. I highly recommend Turkey! Istanbul was awesome. Montenegro was really good as well although Russians have to exit every 30 days.

Well I don't want to go to turkey because it says if you get tested there and you are positive they will make you go to a hospital or something and that's scary.

What was complicated about serbia testing?

Hi! Turkey is a great place to meet, I have family in Instanbul.

To answer your question (and millefleur's) I have a 3-year tourist Visa renewed in 2019. I've been here awhile (trying to get a Temporary Residence permit >.<;). I can stay 180 days on my tourist visa, and then need to exit, usually I exit to Finland or Georgia but since Corona began and they closed, I exit to Turkey. I'm married, so I can enter Russia with my marriage certificate and a valid tourist visa.

Wow! That's awesome. I'm planning to do that too if the K1 doesn't work out

@BellsedaWooahh! Have you been staying in Russia since before the pandemic started? If not how did you manage to get here? You are so lucky!

We've been lucky enough to spend 4 months together in Turkey, Serbia and Montenegro last summer/fall after considering every option to get him to Russia. Having such an opportunity is a big privilige. Can't imagine being apart for as long as some people from here have to 😕

Yeah I've been apart from my fiance for ten months now. We are trying to figure out a way to meet but now that there is testing required to get back into the states it makes it a bit more difficult trying to get tested in a foreign country before coming home

Really not much new in the way of travel requirements.  In the interests of everyone get the PRC test prior to travel and go about your business.  This inconvenience is minor compared to where we were four to six months ago.

But it's hard to find where to get a test in a foreign country. And then God forbid you happen to test positive, then you aren't allowed back into your own country? It's a bit ridiculous

Well, at least the vaccine is starting to roll out here in Texas.  The Texas Division of Emergency Management has produced a very nice map showing where the vaccine is being distributed and administered.  It includes instructions for contacting the facilities and scheduling. They update it daily........

Right. I meant with travel. More restrictions keep piling on every country making it really hard to find a place to meet your loved ones

HI! I was reading this thread, hoping for some ideas, but it looks like we all have the same information. My husband's been approved since early September 2020 for his Visa Interview in Moscow, it was a nice comfort just to read the posts here and not feel alone (or like I'm doing something wrong). I actually have been calling (doesn't work) and the e-mailing, just because I can't help myself haha. I did get an answer back via e-mail, but it was no new information.

This was the answer I had, on December 10th 2020,

"Thank you for your inquiry. Routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa operations remain suspended. We are not processing immigrant visa at this time. Please follow up when routine immigrant visa operations resume.  There is no action for you to take now.

We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. "

I know it's not really helpful, but that's what I have to share.

I appreciate you sharing with us!! I will probably join in with the calling/emailing once I have purpose to!!

Apparently Moscow embassy is processing or will process K/CR at about the same rate. Taking into account the delay to file the CR1 due to the hassle of trying to get married first, I figured a K1 will probably be faster. It would take me a minimum of 3-6 months to get married if I wanted the CR1 route.

Yeah you can follow my timeline if you'd like :) I'm waiting for NOA2 and if I get an interview I'll add that in too. At this point we are thinking if we don't get one by the end of the year, then we will find a way to get married
