Usually it’s a good sign when they ask for a new medical.
You make me feel a little better, thanks

Do what the embassy said. I believe medical are valid for 6 months.
Thank you for quick response.
After the first interview they kept the passports. They completed their interview on July 2nd, 2022 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. They put them under administrative processing, and we had yet to hear back from them for about 7 months. Now they requested they complete a second medical exam. I am wondering if they called me 4-6 times to ask for a second exam , is it just because the first one is expired, or because we'll get a positive response soon?. I'm told that people got denied after a second medical examination. I am worried

Get a new medical exam if you want the stepchild to come to the US.
Thank you for responding! I was confused; I thought it was valid for one year.

My stepkids had their interview since July 2022 . They received a 221g, we have submitted the requested documents 3 weeks after the interview. The embassy tried to reach me 3-4 times for the past 3 weeks , I finally talked to them yesterday and they requested a new medical examination. However, the exam was done in July 2022 therefore not expired. What should I do since the embassy agent told me to pick up the passport at the embassy today so we can use them for the medical. Please help i really don't know what to do?

I received my husband’s interview notice by email but no official paper copy has come in the mail. It has been nearly 3 weeks. Will a paper letter come or is a printed copy of the email enough to bring to the medical and interview?
You just have to print out the email and bring it with you. I have never received a mailed copy of my kids' interview notice. I just used the email.

Are you sure they don't mean passport pictures?
Are your step kids already adults?
Yes, I am sure, it said pictures with their father. They brought their passport pictures with them.
They are not adults, they are 13 and 7

Hello!
My Stepkids, which I petitioned for, had their interview yesterday, and it went well. However, they received a 221G slip with missing Tax Transcript/pictures. The CO kept their passport . My husband submitted the transcript the same day, right after the interview, to the CEAC portal. However, we do not have any pictures as it destroyed them during the earthquake. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What do i do? Is it a good sign they kept the passports? Thank you! -

At this point, I feel like we as petitioners should do something like calling the news stations, writing the president because clearly there s some type of discrimination against Haitians. Last week, I checked, DR who had and still dealing with Covid was doing interviews for people of June 2020 and Haiti is not even in August 2019. Like this is just plain wrong. And if we don't do something, Haiti is about to get worse especially with the election coming up in October. How are they canceling all Immigrants visas but yet doing other type of interviews. Something don't add up and us petioners have to pray and fight for our rights.
I agree, you made a great point. We should start a petition

Has anyone heard anything about having an interview scheduled or what not! I know two people that had interviews scheduled, but that was back in March and haven’t seen or heard anything yet. Any updates. Case DQ’ed 9/19 thru 12-19.
Thanks!
Can someone reply to MadamG question? Anyone with scheduled interview, please share.

The previous message was released by the department of state. This is an update on the US embassy in Haiti website. So, they acknowledged that are supposed to be prioritizing visa interview for immediate relatives of U.S citizens. We have to pay attention in the weeks and months going forward to see if they actually do that. Haiti embassy is not very informative usually so this a good sign. But again, actions speak louder than words.
I totally agree "this is a good sign" Let's keep hope alive because we cannot control what happens with Haiti embassy, but we can definitely control our attitude toward what happens with that embassy.

Yes. After two years of marriage it will fall under the IR1 category. Log into your NVC CEAC and on the homepage (top right-hand corner) of your log in it will now show IR1 instead of CR1. This happens automatically to the best of my knowledge.
yes Jacques'son is right.

Started the process May 2018...DQ September 2019....and still waiting on interview as of today.. Almost 20 months now.
That is a long wait. Something needs to be done about this. They should have a time frame for this process. It is really unfair to watch people done within a year while others have to wait forever.

I agree I was if anyone need to petition would be us CR/IR's and now I see the new news release once again it's about nonimmigrants are they serious yes to answer my own question and like I said I know they will have to go through more of the process but do it fairly which I see is no such thing for Haiti because other countries everyone is having interviews Haiti is just hateful to their own people and disrespectful to the US citizens. I will continue to pray for all of us especially spousal and family even after me I will pray because Haiti is something else. Have a good day
Haiti definitely needs prayers. We all should be praying for this country, everything about Haiti is alarming. Let's keep praying for a better Haiti.

I got Dq'd on 5/2020 and did not get an interview date till 5/22. That was a long wait however one must remember that Covid did not help the processing time. The interview was scheduled for 7/2022; we went to AP for almost a year.
