  1. Yes it is approved. Still 2 more years to go before i am eligible to apply.
  2. Good luck to you. I have still long way to go.
  3. Hy Shroy! How are you? Its been a while you posted here. Have you applied for your citizenship yet?
  4. I am not sure if your attorney can call field office or field office take phone call. However, he can call USCIS customer service. If i were you i would wait at least 90 days after VAWA approval to take any action. You attorney is correct it might take 6 months after VAWA approval.
  5. i was in same situation as you. Once i sent the renewal package i did not get the anything from USCIS. Hence, i contacted my congress person to get me the receipt.
  6. yes i have contacted them. I was in same situation once when i did not receive my receipt notices. They were able to get those for me. Just contact them and give them your A#.
  7. contact your congress person. Let them know your situation they should be able to get it for you.
  8. Hi Alex, Welcome to community. I am sorry about what you have gone through. These are good evidence that you suffered abuse. question is do you have evidence to proof your marriage was bona fide marriage. As long you meet that requirement you can file for VAWA. I wish you best of luck!
  9. you can take that. I know few people have done that.
  10. I chatted and i was told on chat that tier 2 will call me. yes it really helped me move forward my case.
  11. Yes you go there in person once you make an appointment. I chatted with EMMA. I told told them i need to get the status of my i-485. Then after few days tier 2 called to give me the appointment date.
  12. It depends on your field office how busy they are. It could be anywhere 3 to 12 months. After my VAWA approval i made 3 appointments to get the update on my i-485. I would suggest you do the same. You have nothing to loss.
  13. Have you tried to make an infopass appointment or contacted your congress person?
  14. Absolutely. I helped and encouraged a friend of mine to go to field office to get the update on the his i-485. He was expecting a interview for i-485. However, when he went to filed office he was told that his application is admin close therefore, he needs to go to court to finish his business with them first. The field office trip was really worth otherwise god knows how long he would wait for interview latter.
  15. If i were you i would do two things. First i will do FOIA request to see if USCIS reopened my case. Second i would take that approval notice and go to field office to find out the status of my i-485. Just to see what USCIS would tell me about my i-360.
  16. i contacted them 3 times but they never did anything for me. Like i said they might help you but i did not get any help from them at all. You can try there is nothing wrong with it. Did you receive VAWA approval notice?
  17. Yes you can contact them. However, my personal experience with them is not great. I found them useless. However, it might work for you. I would rather contact with the congress person/senator. Did you receive reopening latter?
  18. i agree what @Demise said. I am just wondering why would immigration call him to ask for that? wouldn't they send RFE?
  19. @Demise Hi Demise, Hope all is well. I am trying to send you a message but unable to do so.
  20. then your i-485 is open and you just need to wait now. give it at least 6 months before your start exploring other options.
  21. What is the status of your i-485 right now in the USCIS website? were you able to renew your EAD c09 while your VAWA was pending? If yes then that means your i-485 is still pending.
  22. Congratulations. Most likely interview would be waived. However, you never know with USCIS just mentally prepared just in case if they call you in for the interview.
  23. it is possible you never know with USCIS. Hopefully you will get the notification soon rather than later.
  24. hopefully. I am sure i would be before that. Now it is just matter of time when they approve your green card.
  25. give it 30 to 45 days then contact your congress person if you do not hear anything from USCIS.
