Hey everyone! I just wanted to update my thread but I guess it got closed because of this one. I started a thread on how to move your case from Russia to Poland.

Well I have news that my fiancee GOT HER VISA Sept 1!!!😭😭🤩🥳
We struggled so much. If you check out my profile, we waited over 600 days.

She got her Schengen through Greece. Then, she booked a place to stay in Greece, but it was just going to be used to transit. She went to Warsaw for her interview. Spent a few days there beforehand and finally went to her Interview.

    Interview

So from what she told is that the officer interviewing her was a female. She was nice. She asked for the affidavit of support and my fiancee asked her which one since we used a joint sponsor because I didn't work. She asked for mine. My fiancee says she was only asked a few questions and skimmed through the documents. She was asked where she lives and where she was born twice, possible to confuse her in case she was lying. Then she said " when we receive your medical results, you will be approved"

Backstory: My fiancee went to go get her results from the clinic in Warsaw but they said her results weren't ready. It kinda surprised us because she was close to her interview date. So, eventually she went to her interview without it. They gave her a different date to pick up her medical results after her interview.

Now, while we were waiting I will say that if you check your CEAC it said " Refused" which really scared. I mean the interviewer said we were approved right? we just had to wait for her medical results. So I did some Googling and many people reported the same thing but it was nothing to worry about. I guess they did something to their system which shows this Status while waiting for her visa. Then the next day she checked and it said " Administrative Processing" which were were like" wth?!" But again with the power of Google, we found out this is again something they changed in their system and it didn't mean there was an issue with our visa. It was probably because they were checking the medical results. Then a few hours before my fiancee went to go pick up her visa, she checked CEAC again. This time is said " Issued" finally!

    We were so happy!

I honestly can't believe the interview was so easy. We were preparing months in advanced. My fiancee did mention that other ladies were saying about a male officer asking tough questions or denying visas. Something of that sort.

Again, everyone's experience will be different. I'm just sharing ours. Especially since I didn't work and used a joint sponsor. I was very nervous but in the end... we were approved!

There's some info in my profile if you guys want to check it out.

    Thanks!
Maybe I did it wrong on the Timeline but after looking at my phone now. I got our WRW May 21, 2021. I forgot to input somethings on here because I was just waiting so long for everything. Sometimes I emailed them and didn't get a response so I would call them and be on hold for an hour +. This was such a long process. So, I forgot some dates now, but I'll update my profile when I find the actual date of things.

Also, I would like to say that if you plan to do your fiancees medical checkup in Warsaw be wary of clerk/secretary at Wilanow Family Practice. She was rude over the phone, but her English is great. She might be American for that matter. But she was rude in answering questions ( people called Poland using Viber and buying credit. There is a free 1 week trial to take advantage of) and I told my fiancee that. After, my fiancee said she arrived at the clinic and was also treated rudely when she was asking questions. I'm not sure if it has to do with her being Russian since I heard before from other couples and even my fiancee heard from a telegram group that Russian and Ukrainian brides said sometimes they faced discrimination. Usually from other women that are involved within the visa process.

This clinic has 4.3 on Google as of this post, but one of the front desk employees has an attitude. 👊

One question on your timeline, when did you get your case transferred and did you get your WRW number?
    All the best!

We scheduled the interview in Warsaw for the end of October.

Once the Consulate in Poland agreed to take our case, it was a matter of weeks before everything moved and got approved.
Yes, my fiance is planning to get the Schengen through Greece and do a medical in Poland instead of Belarus.

She will need to find an interpreter or maybe I can fly to be at the interview, we haven't figured that plan out yet. I hear the embassy doesn't offer interviews in Russian officially, but there were few exceptions.

A lot of people are getting their Schengen visa through Greece. They get their Schengen via Greece and then just transit to Poland this way. Also, I should say that a lot of couples are "booking" hotels in Greece and then cancelling them because they are just using Greece as a layover to get to Poland. So you cancel it to get your money back, but recently I heard Greece picked up on this and now they began to call these hotels to confirm whether you are staying there or not. If you are not, they can cancel your visa. Research this. So far, this has only happened to 2-3 couples out of many. It's something new they began. Many couples are ignoring this and just crossing their fingers they don't stop them.

We began our journey in December 2019 and in less than 2 weeks my fiancee has her interview in Poland. It's been a very difficult road but we are closer to finishing this long journey. 😌

    Update,

just received an e-mail from Warsaw Embassy that they approved our petition to transfer the case from Moscow to Warsaw.
The state that if we want to cancel the transfer process, to e-mail that request to a provided e-mail address within two business days.

We are most likely staying with this transfer opportunity, however, I have several questions that I would hope to get some feedback for from the knowledgeable people here.

    1. My fiancee, beneficiary, doesn't speak English enough to feel confident to use it during the interview. What are the options? Is it likely there will be a Russian speaking counsel at the embassy, do they allow to hire a translator, or could I attend the interview with her? I wish I could get clarification on this question before the end of this 2 days response time.

    2. How can my fiancee travel to Poland if Russian citizens are required to obtain a Schengen Visa, and that is not even a guarantee. Furthermore, I heard some people claim an entrance is possible through Greece (also Schengen country). Is it concievable that Polish embassy can approve Schengen visa specifically to attend an interview at US Consulate in Warsaw?

    3.  We have also submitted an expedited processing request through NVC inquiry and NVCexpedite, based on my Covid-related work being in National Interest. However, we haven't hear back. We submitted it on April 24 and were given 15 business days to hear back, but we haven't. in 20 day, we submitted a second expedite inquiry, and the auto-response was 30 days to wait for processing. So, how likely is it that by accepting the transfer of the K 1 application to Poland, we would lose an opportunity to be approved an expedite request, which could possibly come any day...?

    Thank you,

Michael. Initial K1 filed in March 2020, NOA2 received in Oct 2020.

Not required, but you want to prove his income without having to worry about them asking you for anything else at the interview. Most recent tax transcript should do it if well above, but certainly won't hurt (only help your case) to include at least most recent paystub. If it shows his YTD income, one is all it would take.

A little update. The fiancé  got a schengen visa to Greece , flew to Athens , slept there in a beautiful place, next day took a plane to Warsaw , rented apartment for 1 month in Warsaw . Then planned appointment with a doctor, did all tests and now waiting for the interview date. It was very simple and adventurous , but costly. Visa to Greece - 200$, Ticket to Athens - 500$, ticket to warsaw - 100$, airbnb in warsaw - 500$, medical exam and vaccinations -  about 240 $, eating and transport in warsaw - about 700$ + (still there)….
Now we should think of air tickets to the States. Initially we thought of business class , but with all that spending maybe it will be economy 😄

Yes, travelled alone, booked the apartment , made all tests and fixed an appointment with the doctor,  going to gym there, feels at ease… Initially, took the plane to Athens to leave Russia as this was the only open direction from Russia at that moment and then took another flight to Poland . Poland is closed for Russians but you can enter it from another Shenghen country.

I may be in a similar situation soon. I'm from the US and my fiance is Russian. I believe Poland is closed for the US because of covid, but it sounds like it's open for Russians? Does this mean your fiance had to travel alone?

I am in transit now!! I had to call NVC multiple times to get it figured out.  There was some problems with some of the transfers and they got glitched out.  Nikki at the NVC told me this.  I finally got a hold of her and she fixed the error in our case and sent it out.  I called them 8 times and everyone told me "Admin Processing, just wait".  They are wrong.  There's a glitch in certain case numbers and there's a group of like 20 of us that have worked through it.  Good luck!

Yes, you as the sponsor must provide an I-134 and any supporting documentation, even if you do not meet the income requirements. Your joint sponsor will fill out their own I-134 and provide their financial documentation.

copy of the title showing no liens, photo of the car and the printout from kbb.com showing the value. I suggest you use their wholesale value, as more conservative
Or, take it to Car Max, if there is one near you. they will write you a purchase offer.

The joint sponsor makes around $27k which is slightly above the 21,775 for household of 2. The joint sponsor wants to add the value of the sole home owned. Will this improve chances of approval? Is it worth getting a professional appraisal or is a tax assement or assement roll good enough?
  23. Thanks
Giodude reacted to KayDeeCee in K1 Affidavit of Support using a Co-Sponsor. Not enough Income?
Current annual income is the most important thing to show. He can provide a statement saying he pays you x amount monthly to work for him, but that alone is not going to prove anything. Do you have a bank account that you use and deposit the monthly amounts he pays you? If so, then his statement along with bank statements showing the x amount he pays being deposited each month would be a lot more helpful. Anyone could say they are paying you however much. You need the documentation showing that to be true.

A home you reside in can technically be used, but it is hit or miss, so most certainly don't rely on that to get you by. You would need to show the home's net value is large enough for it to be sold within a year without causing undue hardships. So, would the CO be convinced that he could sell the home you all live in and have enough cash from that sale to pay off debt plus afford another place for you all to live? See this thread for another discussion about the home as an asset and what documentation you could provide. > https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/764158-using-a-home-as-an-asset-for-joing-sponsor/

As for vehicles, you will need to show proof of ownership, liens and value, perhaps with kbb.com or other such sites/companies of that nature. You can do a search here on VJ. I'm sure there are threads about documenting the value of vehicles.

Savings, stocks, bonds, and the like would be better to show if available.

Also, research about the consulate you will be going through. Some are more strict than others when it comes to the affidavits of support in general and for using assets. You will also need to think ahead to filing for AOS when you will need the I-864 and be in this position once more, but your father will be signing something more concrete, if still using him as joint sponsor.

I called the NVC first and asked how to transfer our case. Basically, you gotta email/call other countries and ask if they can accept your case because Russia is closed or so on. Poland worked. Find the embassy in Warsaw and email them. That's what I did. It took around 2 weeks to get a reply. If they accept your case, they will request it from Moscow and you gotta continue waiting.

They send you instructions in the email. I already had my NOA2.
