You misunderstand. You don't file two years after meeting. You must have been together, face-to-face, within the two years prior to filing. If you met today you could file tomorrow.
The worst kind of "hardship" you could possibly try to claim with USCIS is financial hardship. Financial troubles will cause you problems at every step of the way. Meeting one time, face-to-face, within the past two years is all that's required by USCIS. However, some consulates want to see more than one meeting before they're convinced the relationship is genuine. This means more airline tickets. It often helps at the interview if the petitioner is present. Again, more travel expenses. You need to submit an affidavit of support to convince the consulate that you meet the minimum requirements to sponsor an immigrant. After that, you need to pay the travel expenses for your fiancee to come to the US, and then pay for the wedding within 90 days. You need to submit another affidavit of support when you apply for the green card. Then there are the fees. There's a fee for filing the I-129F petition. There's a fee for the medical and visa application. There's a substantial fee (over $1000) for the green card application. If you don't have enough money to "pay as you go" then you need to start saving. Everything included, you may spend upwards of $10,000.
USCIS accepts fee waiver applications for many types of petitions, but not for K1's or any type of petition that requires a financial sponsor. They also don't accept financial hardship when asking for a waiver of the two year meeting requirement.

If the trust is gone (sounds like it surely is on his side with the constant accusations of cheating), I don't really know where you can go as a couple.
The fact that he's worked without authorization and now has a DUI on his record are going to make adjusting status extremely difficult, aside from all the financial and marriage issues you have.
Sometimes you just have to cut your losses, move on and protect yourself first. You don't owe him a life here. He hasn't done much to deserve one here anyway from the sound of it.

That doesn't really solve the problem though, does it? I mean it will get her out of the picture, but if he's dirty he will continue to be dirty. He needs to stop this HIMSELF, or it just reeks of not giving a f***, you know what I mean? Just my opinion.

This is absolutely true. My husband misses his mom, his best friend and access to decent beer (that is relatively cheap). Other than that, he does NOT miss England one tiny bit. He was sick of England before he left, though, so...!

I can't have a conversation with you when I can't understand what you write. You clearly can write grammatically correct English and yet choose to write nonsensical gibberish. I don't mean this as an attack, perhaps you do it as some sort of stylistic thing, but it doesn't make you come across well.

Your husband getting on you about it doesn't help. What suggestions does he have? If he can't come up with anything better than what you're already trying, he should support you instead of riding you about it.

You would need to file a I-130/I-485 concurrently, because you would not be able to adjust based off of your approved I-129F because you would not have abided by the rules of that visa. You would pay $420 extra plus the costs of a full medical compared to AOSing off of your K-1 visa. You would also have a mandatory interview.

Good grief. Calm down. There was no sarcasm, accusations, or ill intent in Aztec's post. In addition, T&J, you have violated the Terms of Service by making a personal attack. If you don't want to be banned from your own thread I suggest you modify your posting behaviour and stop reading into things which are not there. Any further degradation of this thread by anyone will result in a thread ban. Thank you for your consideration.

    This is simple.
There were no witnesses, there was no DNA evidence, etc.
The state failed to meet their burden of proof.
You can "think" she was guilty all you want, but the evidence just wasn't there.
The last time I checked, a person is innocent until PROVEN guilty in this country, and she was not proven to be guilty.
This is part of the problem with cases like this that are placed in the mass media though. Speculation ensues and everyone wants a guilty verdict and blood, eventhough the evidence doesn't show that she's guilty.
Seriously, if this was a really big deal to you, your life is pretty miserable. Time to move on and get over it. This sort of thing happens every day.
Not really. A jury, no matter where it is, has to have PROOF to find someone guilty.
    It wasn't there.
I'd like to have better faith in my Texans that they wouldn't find many more innocent people guilty these days. We've done that plenty as a state over the years prior to DNA evidence and by using circumstantial evidence.

Murder has to be proved beyond reasonable doubt. A lack of strong forensics and a case that amounts to circumstantial evidence = reasonable doubt.
