That’s amazing ! Congratulations!
I saw your timeline says Potomac, is that where your approval also came from ?
congratulations again! Hoping NVC speeds up for you
Actually I had to look. The I-797 for the Approval said it came from the California Service Center.

Congratulations to you! Can you clarify if you are the beneficiary or the petitioner? I had read the marriage visa process is normally longer than K1 (up to 10mo or more) so which parts of the process were you able to get expedited?
I'm the petitioner for the K-1. The marriage visa is a longer process, however it's the best option for us now. So I will be starting over.
The process of getting a UK Marriage Visa to get married, but not live in the UK was very quick and even though I could not get the expedited process, the regular process only took 15 days. Now that I have the UK Marriage Visa, I'm heading over there to get married and after that will start the marriage Visa (CR-1) process for my husband!

Hi Friends,
After much consideration and some good advice, I have withdrawn my K1 application. The reason is employment. My fiance cannot quit his job nor take the time off until he gets a work permit. We have decided to get married in the UK and then start over with a CR-1. I have notified both the NVC and USCIS.
The good news is I applied for their marriage Visa on July 23rd. They require a biometic appt at a USCIS office which were closed at the time, but reopening a week later. I took the first available appointment on August 7th. I received my Visa today - 15 working days!! (Normally they offer expedited processing in 24 hours or 5 days, both costly, but not available during COVID). So next week I'm headed to the UK to give notice to marry. Then home to Atlanta to wait the 30 days (I have kids in school) and then back again in November to get married!
I hate that I wasted so much time and energy on the K1 but hope that since it was just approved in June, it may help with the CR-1 processing. Maybe not, but here's hoping.
I wish you all the best in your future marriages!!

The normal travel time from USCIS to NVC is about 30 to 45 days. Then upwards of two weeks to assign a case number. So according to your timeline you have at least 3 more weeks to wait. "your mileage may vary"
My NOA2 was June 3rd. My case was received by NVC July 7th and processed on July 10th. I called early morning last week and waited about 15 min. So the documented timeline is very accurate even with COVID delays.

So pleased to have made it here. Got out NOA2 on June 30th and now sitting tight here. Wanted to ask @Greenbaum, as cant seem to get clarity, whether NVC are currently sending on applications to the respective embassies (in our case London, UK) or if they are holding the applications until a time at which embassies are able to start accepting and holding K1 visa interviews?
Congratulations!! Hope you are celebrating! Our embassy is also London, UK.

Well I'm on day 178 for my I-129 and I still haven't made it to NOA2 yet. I'll continue to wait on my approval, hopefully that will be soon. I have talk to tier operator and couple of times and have came of it. So in this case patience is a virtue.
I was approved last week on day 180! I understand what you're going through. I'll pray it will be soon for you.

Received the I-797 NOA2 Approval letter. What are the "Valid from" dates for? What has to be done by the expiration date, in my case 10/1/2020? Thanks!

I'm usually here online about 3 times a day. Morning, late afternoon and then evening. Since the questions don't stop, I have many reasons to be here. Thanks.
Thankful for the time you give! Your encouragement and direction is invaluable.

I see and hear your frustration and I can explain why the first in first out process does not work using you as example. Let's say for argument sake you have a "sheepish" background. You have submitted your application just like everyone else. During your background check they find something that requires additional vetting. This extra vetting will take time because of your "past". Now all those who have applied with their application must wait till you are vetted which may take 6-9 months. But their application is "clean" of any background information which would need additional vetting. So, because of your past you are holding up thousands of applicants because of your desire to be first in first out. Or you can reverse this, your record is clean but someone in front of you has a record that needs additional vetting and therefor under first in (their record) and first out you have to wait even if you have a "clean" record.
Well, I hope my make-believe example opens your eyes to why the first in first out does not work.
This is not a forum that I started so my explanation goes deeper and if you want to explore "why it's taking so long" just look in another monthly thread that I started and on the first post you will see a link to a PDF that explains just that. Good luck and stay engaged.
Thank you so much! That does help and I will look at the other thread.

Guys, keep a positive attitude, let the chips fall, when they do, where they may. If you paid the fee, you're not a criminal, or a terrorist, you'll get approved, it's just a matter of time. The best thing that I did, was trying not to compare my case to others. Be patient and positive, your time will come, I promise. Looking back, I'm not sure why I was stressed about it.
BTW, for my case it was 161 days from NOA1 to NOA2. The process is what it is, and we can't control it, so why worry about it?
Thanks for the encouragement. It does help to have someone listening. For a long time I had a great attitude. Now I see approvals from January and February submissions and it makes me angry...people getting approved in half the time I've been waiting! Why can't they just go in order received and have some semblance of a process? I'm not stressed I know it will happen. I'm just upset that the process seems broken. I'm lucky that have been able to work through the COVID shutdown. I manage a helpdesk, cases in/cases out. You work differently, harder and smarter, but the process is the same..first in/first out. I was just hoping for the same treatment I give to others.

Just more January approvals....praying the person with the December files doesn't have COVID-19! 😷🙏
Stay safe everyone ❣️

Where do you see the case numbers that were approved?

I want magic too...My NOA1 is Dec 10th! So glad I have found this thread! There's been days I've just wanted to scream with frustration...seeing someone with an NOA1 in February...why did they skip us??? It feels so good to say that to someone! I'm so happy for everyone, I just want my turn too!!

Fingerprints Required?
in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
Posted
This is probably a stupid question, but I've confused myself. My husband has a conditional green card and we reside in the US. We are both over 50 so no children from this marriage.
Do we need to submit fingerprints and photos with the I-751?
Thanks, Dee
