Hey everyone!
 
My fiancé and I sent our petition to the Dallas lockbox on January, 25th and, according to the FedEx tracking system, it was delivered on January, 29th.
On February, 3rd my fiancé received a text message with our case number (starting with WAC, so I assume it will be processed by the California Service Center) and the text confirmed that they receive the packet on January, 29th.
I also checked the Case Stutus tracker and it says the same thing.
Since the text message with haven't received any paper copy of the NOA1.
Is this normal?

For anyone who felt the urgent need to comment negatively this petition like they were politicians...I am going to tell them this: 
I am one of those who applied and got approved for a K1 visa and waiting to schedule this interview since this March. 
I signed the petition as it affected me directly and I truly believe that in THIS SCENARIO it's important and necessary they realise that the type of visa is family-oriented visa if not literally family-based. 
The DS160 talks better than I do so, please, if you are a spousal, worker, student or anyone else who applied for a different process and feel disappointed by this petition - I don't understand why but people constantly try to argue over random topics  that do not concerns them directly - just LEAVE this TOPIC. 
I don't want to sound undemocratic but seriously, are you a LAW SPECIALIST that you feel this compelling need to tell us the reasons why we should give up upon this request? 
Because it looks like you guys have probably misunderstood the goal here which is HELP EACH OTHER where it is possibile. If you think that this Petition is wrong for you, just move on.
I am sorry to say that, but unless you are the President of the USA I simply do not care about what you have to say over this request - if it does not affect you directly and your opinion conflicts with our specific case.
We have posted this petition in the K1 visa section, so why do you have to come here and derail our progress or tear down what we are trying to do. What is the scope? To enlighten us with  some knowledge that you think you may have because you have been reading forums' threads during the quarantine?
 
I respect other people's opinions and I don't want to act against the forum policies because what I have just said, but, you know,  I would never visit one of your threads to say "yes this is right, not this is not". We are on  the SAME boat in the end guys.

Absolutely, couldn’t agree more. Who has created the petition has done their best to try to help others as well, and the request of the petition matters more than anything in my opinion. 
 

Exactly. No one here has the power to change the law and I’m sure it is no one’s intention to change it with this petition. Wording could have been improved but I’m sure most on VJ don’t have a law degree so 🤷🏻‍♀️. Like I said, sign it, help others, and just move on with your life. This isn’t a competition. If you were in the same situation you’d want help too. I’m not with this whole “moral superiority” thing some people are conveying on here

Finally, thank you for saying this. I understand trying to show that certain words can be wrong, and I appreciate it, but most individuals in this thread were literally simply complaining about something that could’ve been concluded constructively. Obviously, as you can see, mainly those with the spousal.

Some real saltiness out here about a petition... Just sign it and move on with your life. No one’s post is going to change anything but a simple signature might do a lot. Some people need a chill pill.

In my personal opinion the petition itself won’t work, but could eventually bring change, in a way awareness and hopefully move something. 
According to everyone who has commented, or most of them, the issue is the wording used in the petition, which cites indeed the DS. 
 
And, something I wanted to bring attention to, is the fact that those categories listed as “immediate family” in the DS are all, in certain ways, excluded from the ban. Not fiancés, though. 

The petition was in my opinion trying to point out the fact that in case of fiancés it’s just as hard as it can be for spouses. And an exemption should be included. At the end, we are all trying to be reunited with our family. 

A nuclear family doesn't need to have spouses of opposite sexes.   

Same. Heck, I did the K-1 path.
Edit: And as a side note, I'm getting really tired of all the "they don't know/remember..." and general us/them type of comments. Nobody forgets the separation.. It's not a competition for biggest loser. Having a different view or opinion is not due to inconsideration, forgetfulness, etc.

😂😂😂what did i just read? Since when did fiances have equal rights with spouses? Anyone who reads the definition of a nuclear family- it consists of father (husband), mother(wife) and children- did you see fiance being a family member? . Even in matters non-immigration, a fiance is just that. A prospective. As in the government does not even formally recognize you. Anywho. Good luck in the journey. Keep us informed.
In times of difficulty nobody wants to be objective. We totally understand.
 

I sincerely don't get why the spousal visa holders are so hurt about K-1 being processed IN THESE CURRENT TIMES with the same urgency as the spousal visas. For the purposes of the immigration process, K-1s should be lumped together with CR-1/IR-1. Period.

Have you ever filled up the DS-160? If yes, you would know that the screenshot is correct and from the official form. Please, inform yourself before talking and spreading confusion. And yes, the DS-160 is used for nonimmigrant visas, but it does list fiancés as immediate relatives. But anyway, this thread hasn’t been created to ask opinions about the legal status of fiancés, simply to give the opportunity to sign the petition for those who want to. 

Thank you for posting this! Just to clarify this petition is regarding the march 11 travel ban and points out that the ds160 form requires k1 applicants to list the American petitioner as immediate family, so as immediate family they should also be exempt from the travel ban.
