Transferred to Vermont 04 February 2020 

We're not the government, so focusing is hard right now because of everything going on. 
We're grateful that after the ban majority of spouses who went for their interview got waived and approved, most of them are with their loved ones now.
 
And the rest of us haven't gone for our interviews because of the lockdown plus the Consulate isn't holding interviews yet.
 
So yes, there's Always a way, and in this case, all spouses including myself who is waiting for their interview will get approved as soon as we go forward to the embassy. And when we re-unite with our spouses we will sit together and look back at this time with hearts full of praise and Thanksgiving. 
 
So you see the cause of the ban is the governments problem to solve not ours. You guys should stop adding sand to our garri, the process is hard enough.

Well it;s only natural to ask even vent. That's what this thread is for information and just coming together. Some watch YouTube, news all the embassies constantly checking (ME!! anything to give you guys an update.
For some this is a long journey so we all have to grow some patience but most of all some compassion.
No one should feel bad asking about their embassy or what's going on. That's what many of us admins and moderators are here for to help, educate and inform if we know what's up.
 
I know with Nigeria for instance has nothing to do with the US. Has everything to do with them opening up their country for travel so when that happens whenever it happens the Embassy will open again.
 
I been over this thread since Summer 2012 and see a whole lot. One thing I can say about all the wonderful souls that have blessed this thread is many have become friends it's like a family waiting for the next to get their good news.
So hang in there everybody the world will open back up soon, And you will have great stories to tell your children and grandchildren one day.😎

when any of them open no one will have to ask
it will be on the news,  announced in facebook,  on the TV and radio
and if anyone wants to know if VJ members have recd a notice of an appointment it will be on the portal of that country on the right side (if all will do timeline and keep it up)   / where it says upcoming interviews
 
when borders open and countries feel safe,  we'll know 
right now some of our states have tried to phase into opening but have had to back off and rethink,  cancelling beach openings,  firework gatherings ,  and even cancelling part of the big oath ceremonies that were to be 4th of July news
 
it is sad but we here are not the only ones affected  and we need  to remember to keep the faith and look to a brighter future

I really do not know why People keep asking same question "When are the Consulates re-opening" etc.  
Truth is,  even these men who are immigration lawyers don't know! They don't have no idea, they're only doing all what they can to keep us all updated!  People need to get that clear,  I know it's sad and really frustrating though.  I have my  own case stuck at the Consulate Level since April 22nd 2020 awaiting interview at Lagos Consulate ...
 I can't help but just chill and wait even though it breaks my heart...   
I advice we all keep all hopes alive and have more patience,  because as it stands now; it's only gonna take God's special grace for this whole immigration brouhaha to be a thing of the past!  
PATIENCE THE KEY WORD...! 
We will all prevail and reunite with our loved ones soon by God's grace..   I send my love to everyone out there waiting and also  wish everyone waiting on the Embassies and Consulate to open up again Good luck. And don't forget,  STAY SAFE...!!!

still didn’t believe it yet.  But it’s a wonderful feeling tho and I pray for everyone to be approved shortly
