    Passport are being given pretty quick in my experience you will have enough time to get a passport before your trip.

    Here in the Dallas area, almost all Passport acceptance agencies are fully booked 4 weeks out.  It would take some creative scheduling around here.  LOL.

    There are passport agencies who will get you a passport within few days.
    It's not cheap ($400+ most likely) but might be cheaper than moving your trip out.

    You might qualify to apply for an emergency passport after the oath ceremony  if travel is planned.
    We simply stated, in a letter, that we request a combo interview since we had been waiting a long time.  Did it work?  I'm not sure....I do know it didn't hurt.

    Once you have taken the oath of citizenship, you will have to travel with a US passport. Current Passport expedite time is 3 to 5 weeks after submitting the Passport application.

    i had a speeding ticket. where do i mention it? or is it ok not to mention it for N-400?

    One of the questions on the N-400 asks if you've ever been cited by law enforcement. There's a space to provide information about your case. 
     
    I would definitely keep all evidence showing that you have paid your fine and take it with you to the interview!

    No it's not ok not to mention it. Say yes to the question 23 "Have you ever been arrested, cited..."
     
    And provide details and evidence of paying the fine.
