As per the letter from the CDJ consulate, my fiance needs a background check from every country he has lived in after the age of 16. Does this include the US too? He lived in MA for two years. I would appreciate any comments. Thank you.

OK, than
Well we still did not call NVC.Not sure if it would speed up our NVC process, but it seems like it did speed up yours
Calling in and checking in to see if you have that number available does not hurt, if that’s what you feel like doing. I am glad to know that things are moving along though.

Congratulations!
Did You received it by email?
And another one - did you previously updated your/beneficiary email ( according to thread instructions)?I called in and waited for like two hours and then got the number from the rep. She said they’re finalizing my file and I will get an email once the case ships to the embassy. I did update the email as per the thread instructions and I asked the rep to confirm and they had it on file so perhaps it does work. How about you?

Should i start calling NVC to check if they have my file? My NOA2 approve date is Jan 7.
I just called today and they told me they received the package last week but no case number assigned yet. I am sure it's got to be this week. You and I have the same approval date so let me know what they say to you. Thanks!

Quick question that I could not find an answer to and I am sure it is hidden somewhere in another forum. My fiance lived in the US for two years. Does he need a background check from the state where he lived for his K1 visa appt. or only for countries other than the US? Also, in MA they run name-based search and fingerprint-based search, does anyone know which would be in this case? Thank you!

Hi everyone. I hope someone can help me out with this. I just called NVC today and they told me they received my case but no number assigned yet. They also told me that I cannot schedule anything until it is sent to the consulate in CDJ and I get a letter. With this being said, I know many people schedule an interview once they have the NVC case number. Is this recommended for Mexico? How long does it usually take to get the famous Packet 3/4. I know it is hard to schedule an appointment at CDJ so I am just trying to stay ahead of the game. I have also read that worst case scenario you can get a copy of that letter before the interview. My fiance lives in Mexico City so he would have to do medical and fingerprints in Mexico City but then he will also need this letter for those appointments? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!
It is a K-1 visa, by the way.

This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2 K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case onwards to your Embassy. Contained in the PDF below are many tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way outlining what steps you can be taking along the way.
These are items that everyone asks for, so I thought I just post a PDF of them here for you to refer to when it's necessary.

Thank you, Greenbaum, for creating this thread and posting this. I searched the different forums for Mexico and I do not seem to find the P3 for Mexico. Do you happen to have readily available? I would certainly appreciate it. I already got your PDF with instructions, which is amazing! Thank you for all you do for us.

Congrats! Took me a minute but I was able to find it! Go over to here. There are lots of valuable tips, tricks and information in the PDF that @Greenbaum has set up for us. Im still waiting on my NOA2, should be coming soon, but I have been reading and checking things out. So head over to that group and read, update your email like the PDF says and you are on your way
Amazing! Thank you for providing this and for Greenbaum for putting this together. Is there another area where I need to be looking at now? Like another group for NOA2 or Mexico filers?

I am on my 108th day and still waiting.... my approval is past due according to journey, but then it is just an estimate

Do we have a whatsapp group or any other group for Sept. 2019 filers? My estimated approval date keeps changing, now in Jan. 2020. It is not that bad. I have not had time to stress about it.

Still waiting for my NOA1, might have to start painting my nails in an attempt to keep me from biting them LOL. Should be any day, I hope
They are taking like 5 days after they receive the application to notify you via text/email. Did you check it was received?
