carlovely got a reaction from jackiegringa in Traveling on Extension Letter?
I wanted to give an update on this because I couldn't find a lot of posts about it. I applied and was granted TSA Precheck with my extension letter! It took the full 60 days that they said for processing but no extra questions were asked, all they needed was my expired green card.

And today my EAD case status switched to "Case closed because benefit received by other means" meaning my green card was approved!

It makes sense sometimes you don't get a EAD or AP first. They approve your GC first!

Youre good , you don’t need your EAD since you get your GC next month

Just want to clarify this seems it looks like no one has yet. This is a screenshot of the My USCIS website. Some cases, even if filed by paper, are treated like electronic cases. Once you file they send you back instructions on how to create a MyUscis account so that you can track or add new evidence to your case online. This is why you can see more detailed info on some cases and not others. I believe it's completely random. I know this because I filed for my AOS, AP and EAD by paper and my EAD was converted to an electronic case.

I try to show as much empathy as possible since being on this board and with the entire COVID situation. However, for some reason, I dont have any empathy at all for the OP. As far as I understand from the quick read of the thread, the OP's fiance or gf has overstayed for 2 years, which would be the entire length of this pandemic. Canada has not been closed. For the longest of time, you could have flown into the country but not crossed overland. There were ways to get back. Im mainly in the Philippines section and those couples (especially K1s) are going through pure h$ll. Many of those couples have not seen their significant other for 16+ months, many others are over the two year mark now. They have followed the rules, they have put their relationships on the line with the distance, the inability to even see each other with that country basically closed off to most foreigners. I converted to Buddhism about 25 years ago and that red light to me is called karma. Hopefully, though, things will eventually work out for the OP.

Just wanted to share the good news that today we got an e-mail form the embassy that they have been working on rescheduling interviews. We got our new interview date as well!

carlovely got a reaction from Ellievibez in US Travel Docs (Dom. Rep.) removes statement about routine services
Hi everyone,
I was doing my routine checks of US Travel Docs and the US Embassy site for any updates and I noticed that their "notices" were much shorter than usual. After reading I realized they finally got rid of their generic "we are unable to resume routine visa services at this time and are unable to provide a date to resume" statement. So obviously I freaked out a bit and went to check the visa bulletins and noticed that the K1 visas issued in the DR in September went up to a whopping 22 from the previous 3s and 4s and 0s!! Are we finally moving?? Is this it? I've sent an e-mail to our embassy for any updates and will update back when I hear from them.
Have any of you noticed anything similar as well?
These are their current notices:
Feeling optimistic!
