Totally agree. I see  interview as the bun, oath as the hamburger meat and biometrics as the lettuce, tomato and cheese lol

The best insight  into TATs is to dig into the timelines of previous applicants with same local office. I usually start off with total days to complete from start to finish then I go into wait times from "biometrics complete" to "interview scheduled " then from interview to oath scheduling for the past 8-10years and the trend I saw was alot more accurate and i typically have a 90% idea of when I should be done
 
The monthly thread will only give you a nationwide trend which you can compare with other months to see how uscis is doing generally 

Start studying now. The earlier the better
You don't wanna wait until the day before to start cramming to avoid 'brain freeze" lol

Assuming the  spreadsheet is fully updated, if  10 more folks get their interview date before the end of October  then it will be more than 50% of July filers that are almost close to the finish line 4 months into their application

I don't know what you mean by "hard" but if you have completed your biometrics there is a booklet that you paid for that should have been handed to you
The questions and variety of answers are in there and you have enough time to study and understand to pass and yes you will be asked the questions
