Less is more in your case. The less you submitted the more you were going to be approved. BTW, don't live by the one week for your visa statement. That may or may not happen but UK is pretty quick in production turnaround for visas. We see 1-2 weeks. I just didn't want your expectations to high that it will arrive in one week.

I don’t plan on flying over till March anyway so no rush rush for the visa to arrive 😄

That's the first that I heard that UK didn't ask for Financials. The Philippine consulate hasn't asked in 3 years so may be it will begin to be a trend. The I-134 document is not a binding contract but just a piece of paper to show the CO that you are not going to be a burden on the tax payers. It will be interesting if others have the same experince that you did. Congratulations and safe travels. Please don't quit your job or by plane tickets till you have your visa in hand and had an opportunity to look it over for errors.

I also haven’t heard of them not asking for the financial stuff, so I was pretty worried!!

She literally Just asked what our wedding plans are and then she clearly said ‘you’re approved, your visa will take a week.’ My US fiancé was there with me and I had my folder in front of me with all my paperwork and she said she didn’t need anything 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Made it in with no issue. And he’s been approved!!! Wahoooooooo!!!

They just looked at me and confirmed I was the petitioner and I walked through the whole process with him. Will write a review on that thread later.

    thanks for the feedback!

    Amazing!!!!

so happy they let you in and he got approved.

We did all the paper work and paid the interview fee before transit. But you can't schedule medical or the interview before it's listed as "ready"

I’ve already scheduled my medical and we are in transit.

for London you only need the case number to book the medical.
It’s not till the 3rd December so London embassy will have received the case.

By "In transit".. I assume you mean from the NVC to the Embassy/Consulate in your country. So how did you submit the DS-160 before packet 3 arrives? Am I missing something here?

Yes, you can fill out your DS160 beforehand.

May as well do it now.

Haha deffo! Looks like it should work! Wish I knew this at the time, could have used him coming over for it and taking some of my stuff back with him 😂 Good luck, you'll be great!! :)

Thank you! Haven’t booked it yet, my case should hopefully ship from NVC today so I guess I can’t book till the embassy has my case hopefully by the end of this week.
have my medical 3rd December booked.

Just want it all done with!

Oh that's awesome then! I saw people leaving their partners outside at the check in bit. That's even better for you guys then :)

I’m not sure how widely people know that they can accompany you, but I’m just gonna fill the form out on the embassy site and hope it works and they let him in haha!

Unfortunately he won't be able to come in with you, he will have to wait outside but there's places to sit and have a coffee! Think mine only took 45 mins to an hour- if that! And it was mostly just spent waiting to be called to the window. Good Luck!! :) x

**misread what you mean't. Haha how many slots were open 😂 my bad. Good luck all the same!

I’ve read from multiple people that the US fiancé can come in? There’s also a link on the London embassy site to fill out to allow the fiancé in

Were not far apart timewise. Your NOA #2 was 9/26.. ours was 9/20. We've not heard a peep since then.

We started calling NVC at the beginning of October and got our status and then case number pretty quick. We just missed the last shipment date.

its interesting you haven’t managed to get through to a Hunan at NVC at all. My fiancé is the one that’s been calling as, ya know, I’m in the U.K., but he hasn’t struggled to actually speak to anyone at all and they’ve been super helpful.

I’d say try calling NVC again if you don’t receive a shipped email this coming Tuesday, and if you still can’t get hold of anyone and haven’t had an update maybe you need to contact your embassy to see if it’s arrived?

I've called the NVC several times in the last couple of weeks.. but after the usual pre-recorded msg they hang-up. But my question here is about the email that some seem to get when the NVC forwards things to the Consulate/Embassy.

    Anyone?

You don’t need to make a special request. Once the case ships, they ‘should’ notify you by email.
A lot of people I’ve spoken to did recieve an email from NVC, although they knew it had shipped beforehand by checking their case number anyway.

the next shipment is this coming Tuesday.

A question to all those who received an email from the NVC when their application was forwarded-on to the Consulate. Did you make a special request to be notified when this happened? Or did it just happen on it's own? I know the NOA2 797C states that " You will receive notification by mail when the NVC has sent your Petition to the Consulate or Embassy.".. but my Immigration lawyer has advised me that in fact that rarely happens.

Also.. to what email address is it sent? The Petitioner? The Beneficiary? Both?

    Thanks in advance.

    NOA #1 - 06-11-19

    NOA #2 - 09-20-19

    Nada since then.

Have you called NVC to get your case number? Then you can track the case online and see where it is.

Booked mine yesterday and there's appointments free between the dates that you want. If I remember correctly there were none available on the 20th though so they are going fast. I'd suggest booking your interview ASAP.

    Thank you!!

my case won’t ship from NVC till Tuesday so I’m not sure I can book till it’s arrived in London? Fingers crossed there’s still spaces..

  13. Hi guys

I was wondering if anyone that’s booked their interview for London recently could tell me how ‘open’ it was - my fiancé is coming the week before Xmas and my case should leave the NVC for the embassy next tuesday.
I have my medical booked for the 3rd December but would love to book my interview for when he is here, Week of 16th - 20th December- just not sure if there will be many slots left, dunno how quick it books up!

    thanks

    Greetings My Friends,

I've been on this site for awhile now, and I would hope that the journey to get my husband to the States would be concluded. It's not. My husband was inadmissible due to 40 year old crimes when he was a stupid 18 year old. Our interview was in London on February  2nd of 2018.  We submitted a 601 waiver on March 12th, 2018 through our first lawyer, and we waited for an entire year...then we received the RFE. The RFE clearly showed that they didn't even open or even read any of the evidence that we sent, they even said his crime was "violent and dangerous" taking it to a higher level of hardship.  It wasn't. He was involved in a fist fight, and no one was seriously hurt. Our lawyer wasn't available for us, so we hired another.  A month after the RFE,  the London Embassy added a "misrepresentation" a year after our interview. NOT COOL! Our lawyer submitted the RFE on June 11th, when it was due. On August 22nd, the CEAC changed from "Refused" to "Administrative Processing". We've had our Congressman submitting inquiries every 30 days...with the rote responses. It is now 142 days since Nebraska has received our RFE.

Anyone else having the same or similar experience?

I’ve read so much about people with one incident or old criminal records including things like ‘fights’ being fine.

im surprised that one incident as an 18 year old 40 years ago made him inadmissible?
