Hello everyone! An update- we had our AOS interview this morning. We arrived about 15 minutes before our appointment time, went through security and was called in shortly. We took an oath and afterwards, the officer asked my husband a few questions from the i-485 form. He then asked us a few questions about how we met and when we met each other's families. We then gave documents with both our names on it (lease, bank statements, utility bills, health insurance), a letter from my employer + pay stubs, last tax return, photos from the last few months and wedding contracts (we had a small legal ceremony when he moved and are planning our wedding now). He was happy with the documents, said he didn't have any doubts about our application/ relationship and that he will approve us on the spot. He took my husband's passport and after 15 minutes, returned it to us with a stamp in it. He said he stamped it so he could start working right away (our ead hasn't been approved yet). He said the green card will be coming in the mail shortly. All in all, a really pleasant experience!

I got the approval notice for both I-485 and I-130 (in two separate envelopes) in the mail yesterday and the case tracker did update! GC coming soon!

I can't believe they make you go all the way to Hartford - hopefully they can schedule your interview in Pittsburgh - seems like they process it very quickly right after the interview and I had a really nice officer for the interview.

For the record- my EAD and AP never got approved. I filed for expedite back in May, faxed stuff in, and got denied 3 weeks later. I also had two biometrics appointment that was applied to the EAD and AP separately, in August and in Sept. But one of those must be absolutely useless since I didn't ever get the combo card.
Good luck to everyone - it'll be your turn soon!

Just wanted to update you--my husband had his AOS interview in Pittsburgh on 10/2. We were approved on the spot and received the i-551 stamp in his passport. The officer had said we'd receive the green card in the mail shortly, but our online status never changed. We just checked the mail and the i-485 approval notice and the actual green card (in separate envelopes) were in the mailbox! Our status still says "interview was scheduled" haha so I don't think the online status updates are reliable. Our online status had been updated for all the other steps prior to this last one. Hope you receive your green card soon!!

So -- good news! We received our biometrics appointment in the mail this morning! Finally! The notice was mailed on October 1 (arrived today -- 9 days?!) and is scheduled for October 21.

As if our immigration experience couldn't get any better, my fear was confirmed today. I was scheduled at the ASC local to our mailing address (our inlaws'), rather than our physical address. So.. I get to make the 8 hour drive from Pittsburgh to Hartford. Thanks, USCIS, for always keeping us on our toes ❤️

March filer here. My husband's interview was on 10/2 and the officer approved us on the spot (even gave us the stamp in his passport), saying we'll receive the card in the mail shortly. The online status still says "interview was scheduled" as of this morning...

I received my green card on September 11th, about two and a half weeks after our interview. They send it via priority mail so you can track its progress after it's been shipped.

    Hey y'all,

I was going to let everyone know how my interview went. We got there at 12:45 and were the first ones to be allowed inside. We waited in the room and got called in by this gentleman. Before taking a seat we had to take the oath. He asked for my SSN, combo card, passport, my husbands DL and his passport. He made some copies. Took a picture or something. He then proceeded to ask questions about my I485, I had to tell him my name, date of birth, current and previous address, SSN (only knew the last 4 digits) lol, parents name and date of birth, their address and my husbands full name and date of birth. He then started going over the questions from page 11 to 14?.

After that he wanted to know how we had met, when we met irl, when we began our romantic relationship, our first date, relationship with his parents and my parents. He asked my husband where he works, asked when he decided to propose to me and when we decided to do the K1. We talked about our case taking long and he asked why I thought it took long and I gave my explanation because we didn't file the right paperwork about my husbands juvenile case and got an intent to deny.

He was very friendly and made a conversation, he also asked when I had came down and I gave him all my dates, he asked if my diploma would carry over and if id be able to use it.

At the end he asked for our shared bills and I was lucky since I copied them this morning, gave that to him. He asked if we are being pushed by family yet to have children. We said that my husbands mom wants to be a grandma but we will wait lol.

He said he would approve me today and id get my green card in 2 weeks. Told me about the removal of conditions, naturalisation and what to do for that.
