Personally, I don't think going on vacation means you no longer live where you live so I would say this is very much open to the interpretation.
But if VJ users say that they have seen denials based on this alone - I wouldn't risk it either.
You're so close to the end of your immigration journey, it's not worth it IMO.
I agree with you. I guess the issue in my case is I will be going on a very long vacation, which raises doubts.
I appreciate everyone's input. I'm very grateful for this community.

Why don’t you make it easy for you and apply after you’re done with all the traveling?
This is plan B. I am just curious what my options are and the visa journey community has always been extremely helpful in helping me navigate through all this. Others have made valid points that I could be asked to provide biometrics within a week of applying, so Im really just weighing up my options at this point.

no quesition is dumb as this is all a new experience to us
but to answer ,, No
u must reside in the US jurisdiction that will process the case 3 months prior to applying so out of the country, NO
Thank you. I own my home in Arizona and it is our main place of residence. By definition does reside explicitly mean i have to be physically in the state prior to applying? Because it is my main place of residence, i just go to Australia for several months to see my family and so my son has a relationship with them, but i make sure I'm never gone for more than 180 days at a time.

Hi everyone!
My window to file my N400 (based on 3 year rule) is opening around the first week of December 2023. Here is my question... and PLEASE don't give me a hard time if this is a dumb question, here i go.
I want to go to Australia to visit my family in September, but i want to go for a few months (less than 6 months). If i leave for Australia in September and then in December fly to Hawaii for a vacation and while Im thete submit my N400 online, before returning to Australia again, is that possible?
I would then return to the mainland US when I get my interview scheduled/ before 180 days have lapsed.
I am aware of the continuous residence requirement and the physical presence requirement.
Thank you kindly for your input!

Can anyone tell me how soon after filing I can expect to get my biometrics appointment. I filed in February, Texas Service Center and I never received a biometrics waiver notice. Thanks!

I just checked my case status online and it says updated to show fingerprints were taken. Glad we don’t have to go back in!
I see many people have had fingerprints waived! So good! What does your case number start with? Mine is SRC and I am yet to hear anything about biometrics being re-used or a biometrics appointment letter.

That is so awesome. Congrats. Is this fast to get biometrics? Or normal time frame?

I wish USCIS would charge the credit card today so my husband could chargeback that transaction from that Institute. The thing is if he reports it now the bank will cancel the card, conduct an investigation and issue a new card and then USCIS won't be able to make the $680 charge, ugh. I'll wait and see what happens. Thank you for your answers 🙏
If it helps, I would wait too. I would hate to risk USCIS not being able to charge my card. Just keep a close eye on your transactions.

Thank you, Yvette. I'm freaking out. I sent my package on Tuesday (Feb 28th) via Fedex and it was delivered yesterday to the Phoenix lockbox. Today my husband got a $0 charge (pending) from "Southwest Kidney Institute" on his card. I googled the place and it shows it's in Phoenix, AZ. I don't know what could this be or mean.
That is a bizzare charge. I feel like it is unrelated to your USCIS application.
For reference, it took USCIS over a week to charge my card after they received my package. So I want to say, don't freak out because it's still early days.
I would question that charge though... Seems random to me.

Hello all,
I have a question. For people that sent their ROC package and attached the G-1450 form (to pay with credit card). What did your bank show in the "Transaction Activity" when USCIS charged the amount? Did it show the USCIS, DHS, name in the description?
Thank you!Mine showed this:
USCIS (PHOENIX LOCKBOX)

Good afternoon,
We applied for Removal on Saturday 02/18 to Arizona and hoping to hear from them soon. Our office is in Kansas City, MO. I added a lot of evidence of our marriage such as lease agreement, tax return, auto insurance, retirement savings accounts beneficiaries information, pictures, social media post’s screenshots, documents from hotels. I hope it will be enough but if they will need more I have got some:)
My friend told me that she was approved within 5 month without an interview.
Good luck to everyone and let’s be in touch! When did your friend apply?

We sent our application via FedEx on 2/14/2023 to Elgin Lockbox....exactly the 90 day mark. Got notification 2/17/2023 that credit card was declined. Thank you Discover for flagging the purchase as fraud! Their approach was have the vendor resubmit. Here's to another chunky fee to FedEx the package again, once we get it back! Definitely will send a check this time (did credit card because thought it would move faster...I stand corrected!) and should be good to move forward. Good luck everybody!!!
I was stressing my credit card would get declined too. That's very frustrating. The good news is you still have plenty of time to re-file.

Sent my package last week.
Today the fee went through my debit card and we got our case number, putting us in the Feb 2023 filing club!
Congratulations.🎉
I've never been so keen for someone to charge my credit card $680 🤣 Hopefully payment goes through any day now.

It's the tenth of the month and I am still the only soul that filed or will file in February? Have a great weekend everyone!
I was thinking the same thing. Not many February filers yet...

My conditional greencard expires March 4th 2023. I mailed in my ROC application on Friday 02/10/2023. I see a lot of people are planing to file much earlier in their 90 day window. Hopefully it won't cause any issues that I filed my ROC so late in my 90 day window. If anyone wants me to share what I submitted as evidence, let me know.
Good luck to all February filers!

I would ditch the utility bills and provide one bank statement per quarter.
USCIS seem very traditionally minded: having a child together is the best evidence of a bona fide relationship in their eyes.
Phew... Atleast I got the child part covered :D

Hi all,
I'm looking for some reassurance for the evidence I plan on submitting. I was able to get the last 2 years worth of joint electricity bills and last 12 months of joint water bills that I plan to submit. Do I need to go further back than only last 12 months with the water bills?
I'm also submitting our sons birth certificate, titles of our house and car showing joint ownership of both, last 3 years of joint bank statements, joint tax transcripts since we got married. Amongst other things.
Am I being silly worrying about whether i have enough water and electricity bills included or do they need to span the whole three years since we got married? It's just a pain because they don't go that far back online for me to access the statements.
Your input is much appreciated.
Thank you.

If you left Aug 4 and came back Aug 6, while there are 2 days between those two dates, August 4 and August 6 count as days in USA. Just August 5 is a day of absence.
So that is 1 day of absence.
There are 181 days between August 4 and February 1. So by induction that is 180 days of absence. That will not break continuous residency.
Why take a chance the flight will not be delayed or canceled? Come home now.
Thank you for your input Mike!
I know it's risky, I will see what I can do to make it home to the US sooner.

What was the date left the USA?
What was the day you returned?
Left on the 4th August 2022. Planning on returning February 1st 2023.
