Congrats! , it is for Houston, TX right?, when was your N-400 Interview?, just curious my wife is scheduled for the interview for 1/18/2023.

If the interview is on 1/18, if approved you can expect your oath notice to come in within two weeks from interview date. So for you hopefully by 2/3/2023 you have your oath notice scheduled.

How was your Oath Ceremony today?, can you please update and any idea about next ceremony?, update will be appreciated.

    Good afternoon.

Our oath was held at the MO Campbell Education Center. I got there at around 7am sharp. That's the appointment time on my form. Parking area is quite chaotic but plenty of parking spots available. I'd nonetheless suggest getting there early. The lines were long, but they moved fairly fast. From standing in line to getting checked in, took about 45mins.

The lines are designated by table numbers, starting with 0 up to 4. So that's FIVE lines including line 0. I was on line 1, which lead to Table 1. The lady checked my oath notice and the filled and signed forms, and handed me a colored card which says what Table I'm supposed to come to AFTER the oath. This colored card also contains seating information inside the auditorium.

We sat, and I desperately needed to pee, so PLEASE PEE BEFORE YOU GET IN. The judge finally came in, and we went through the whole process. It was very nice, warm, welcoming and passionate. I left the auditorium in another line, and it was all a bit crammed but orderly nonetheless. We went back to that original table where we'd checked in, and the lady confirmed all details on the naturalization certificate. Boom, all done, and back home by 11. So a total of 4 hours.

APPLICANTS ALLOWED ONLY. I know this is a life-changing event for many, but please leave small children at home.

    Good luck to everyone!

I filed my I-751 March 2022.  Case status remains “ Case Received” since March.  Service center is Texas (SRC).  Anyone on the same situation?

If it helps, I filed in August 2021, and the next time I got an update was June 2022 for biometrics. Unfortunately I751 cases are now taking close to 18 months so you can't reach out for an update either.

Had a combo interview with my wife for N400 @ cincinnati OH field office. Passed and ROC keeps updated with another transfer ..Anyone experiencing these updates for ROC..@willieT1986 did your wife experience the same.. Thanks 😊

Honestly a lot of these updates are system generated based on what barcodes the CO scans and what they click on their screens. It's all over the place. My ROC has had no updates, N400 says interview will be scheduled a few seconds after the end of the interview. I was told by my CO that I was approved for both. So...I wouldn't put too much thought into it. If you've passed, then you just wait it out for that oath notice :)

  5. Had my N400/i751 combo interviews at Houston Gears Rd location today. Everything went nice and smooth. Had an 11.45am appointment and I was attended to by a lovely lady at around 12.40pm. She did ask where my spouse was and I informed my wife was with our baby out in the car. So she waived her presence. Asked some personal questions, reminded that the i751 needed to be approved first before moving to the N400. Some more personal questions, dates of birth and marriage etc, and then came the civics test and some more general questions about loyalty to the US etc. All in all, lasted a total of 15 mins. At the end I asked to get a quick ADIT stamp as I intend to travel very soon, and was kind enough to let me have that stamp. Got home, and noticed the N400 case status change to Oath Will Be Scheduled. There's no update on the i751 as yet but that should change over the next day or two.

  6. Just had my i751 and N400 combo interview. CO had asked about my spouse but I advised she was out in the car waiting with our daughter. At that point she waived my wife's presence. Asked about some personal information, dates and places of birth, dates of marriage etc, probably lasting about 5 mins. And then we went to the N400 civics test. And some more usual questions that you get asked on the DS260. Read and wrote a sentence, and the whole thing lasted 15 mins. N400 online now updated to Oath Will Be Scheduled. The CO was also kind enough to get me a stamp on my passport that allows me to travel, which I will do very soon, WITHOUT calling for an INFOPASS appointment. All in all, a good day.

Guys. My I-751 case was approved on the same day I had my n-400 interview on Dec 9th. It was a combo interview after I reminded the officer I had a pending I-751. I was “grilled” for 2 hours but at the end of the interview, the officer gave me a big smile, congrated me, and wished me good luck in the US. I checked my USCUS account and the status for I-741 and N-400 both got updated. I am just waiting on the oath ceremony to be scheduled. Thanks for everybody’s support and help! I wish you all get approved real soon!

Amazing news! Congratulations! Please keep us posted on when you get notified of your oath ceremony.

Thank you! No green card he told us to wait bout 2 to 3 weeks for oath ceremony appointment. Not sure about having to travel.

Nice. Do keep us posted on the oath ceremony date! Passport applications are taking a good 5 ish weeks these days. So I'll definitely need to get a stamp. My 24 month extension letter is also expired and as things stand I do not have any unexpired proof of lawful evidence. Hopefully the wait isn't going to be long.

We had our interview Dec 8 and it was a combo interview. The IO told us that they are doing combo interviews because of backlogs. Our I-751 was sent on Oct 2020 and it was transferred to NBC and never heard anything else from it until yesterday. He asked only 2 questions about it. If we own a home and what are address was. Then he said it was approved. N-400 was next very simple too. Asked 6 question then read and write a sentence and then approved. The whole interview took about 15 minutes. We did submit a lot of paperwork. Good luck everyone! Glad it’s all over.

Congratulations! Yes they finally responded to a case inquiry confirming a combo interview. Do you get a new green card or do you now get to wait for the oath and passport? What if you need to travel in the interim? ADIT stamp? And have you received an oath appointment yet?

My wife just got the text that her status updated.

They finally changed her I-751 to Transferred, as well as set her N400 to Recommended to be Approved and that her Ceremony will be scheduled.

So she is pretty happy about it.

AWESOME! Hopefully this means the i751 is approved and a second interview isn't necessary. LETS GOOOOO. Please keep us posted on when you get notified about your oath

So, if you have the ROC pending and you get scheduled for the N400 they will do the ROC Interview first, then when they pass that move straight onto the N400 Interview right after. That is why when we see a lot of people file for their N400  they see that their ROC gets transferred, it is mainly for that reason. I am in LIN so I have only seen the Texas ones transferred but yeah, that is how it works. To piggyback off this, another person I know who has been like 1 month apart from my Filings just had his wifes ROC and N400 Interview and that is exactly how he described it. So yeah, both interviews same day at once. You will get the N400 interview setup and it only states the N400 info and nothing else about the ROC info so people still need to make sure they take their spouse because of the ROC Interview as well.

Someone in Colorado is in the exact same position. Pending i751 with an N400 scheduled. They did the interview, got approved for n400, and were told to wait till their i751 is approved before proceeding any further.

I did not heard about this until someone posted on Youtube about she gone to get one so she can get back in the US while the Gov is processing her new greencard of a mistake they had done (Male instead of Female on the GC).

I'd guess it'll be safe to get one.

I've called the contact center and set up a call back to arrange an appointment. WHEN this happens, is another entirely different story.
