I am hoping! I am just scared to go through getting my medical done again and traveling to Montreal and get there and they ask for the new interview letter and I don't have one this time and they tell me we weren't supposed to reschedule yet. 😬
 
So I asked to be safe. 

Yes, if that's what they are supposed to do. It gave a confirmation that it's booked but I am just not 100% sure we were supposed to as they didn't send a letter to tell us to do it. I thought they would. So we shall see what they say. 
 
Also I'd like them to send any information or instructions we might need to know. 

No we were finally able to reschedule through their website. It wouldn't let us before. But we've emailed the consulate to make sure all is ok. Just waiting to hear back. We called the visa appointment center and they confirmed the appointment is booked and valid but I still want to confirm everything. 

It is! Hopefully they are ok with that. They sent us the reschedule link when they canceled our last interview and told us to monitor it for updates and instructions so we did. All the times we tried rescheduling before it said there are no appointments available for our visa typecat this time. But this time last attempt it let us book one, but they didn't specifically email us to say go ahead and reschedule now so I hope it's ok. That's why I emailed to ask. Hopefully it's all good! 🤞

I didn’t receive an interview invitation from the consulate but I saw an opening to reschedule a new interview in the website for visa interview appointment. I called the visa appointment service and they confirmed the interview and advised that I could refer to the original letter for the interview that was canceled in March 2020.
I emailed the consulate about it but I’m still waiting for a reply to confirm. 

It’s a good news. Finally rescheduled interview.

We got our rescheduled interview with Montreal today. May 26th. But the earliest medical exam appointment we could get was May 20th. The doctor said we should be ok still for timing but if not they'll still interview and wait for them. 
 
Of course I'd rather have everything we need so no delays. He said it's common right now cause of the backlog. 
 
Anyone else have their medical come through after the interview? If so what happened? Did you get a 221g? And if so how long did it take to finish processing and you heard back from the consulate?

Our medicals were the first week in March 2020, interview the 9th and they shut the consulate down at the end of that week.  We made it through by the skin of our teeth.  We crossed the border when it was technically closed, too.  
 
So sorry you're having to pay for those medicals twice!  Hopefully the rest is smoooooth sailing! 

Excellent!  That will definitely ease some of the stress!  
 
It's a super easy medical though.  Bring a book in case it's busy and you get stuck waiting.  Make sure you have your vaccination records.  Easy peasy!
  

I think a couple of others have had this.  For the most part, a couple of weeks.  You can always check with the Consulate to ensure receipt and if it's more than a week, just "nudge" them to make sure they haven't forgotten. 
 
That said, if the doctor's office is confident your medical will be there on time, there's a good chance it will be.  They've switched to sending digitally, and it seems to be going quite smoothly.  

Yeah, I would be very pleased if I receive my IL by the end of this year.

Good to know you can book the appointment yourself. For me, my case status in CEAC still at NVC. Long way to go... 

I'm not sure.  Hopefully, a Montreal interviewee can answer that.  It is pretty common....good luck on the remainder of your journey.

This is a very common sequence.  Attend the interview as scheduled.  You will, likely, receive a 221g.  Once the consulate has received the medical exam, they will process it.

221g I understand to be like an Embassy's version of an RFE (Request for Evidence). Whenever you don't have anything they want at the interview they'll send you out with one.

Hasn't happened yet. From what I've seen from other accounts, (assuming everything else goes well) we will likely get a 221g, then they'll make the final decision after getting the medical info (sent electronically).
 
Five days is a really narrow window for turnaround, but you might get your results back in time. I wouldn't count on it, though. With all of the accounts I've seen of this happening to others, and the covid times being what they are, I imagine that the officers are probably used to seeing people not having their medical information ready in time. If it can't be helped it can't be helped.

I feel you. The earliest we were able to get the medical for our upcoming interview was six days after...we were able to change it to the day of, just before 😂

Shall we all f3/f4 waiting for interview at Montreal embassy jointly all together request the embassy to restart the visa interview as some are waiting since long time. As Montreal embassy given least priority to f3/f4 and scheduled visa interviews for ir1/cr1 only, while other embassies are scheduled interviews of f3/f4 in similar timeline as other visa class I.e ir1/CR1.

My wild and optimistic guess- all F3 in April! Realistic view is that consulate may have slowed down again due to COVID trend this month 😫

According to the report for March processed immigrant visas Montreal consulate has processed 5 F4 visas. I wonder if they are starting to book F3/F4 interviews. Otherwise how would’ve these ones been processed?

Apparently many other consulates in different countries have been processing F3/F4 applications since the ban was lifted in March.

I should’ve been more specific. I’m immigrating with no intention of returning to Canada. 
i called peace bridge and they confirmed i can immigrate with my visa and no Covid requirements are needed.
