    Hello again!!!

sorry to bother. But I’m a bit confused on the online application.

The question where it says “your name exactly as it appears on your Permanent Resident Card”

On the front of the card I have my middle name initial instead of the full name. But on the back of the card my middle name is in full.

Should I type in my full middle name?

    What did y’all do??

i have my full middle name on my Driver License and ss card.

    Thanks!!!

Hi:-) I have the same thing: middle initial on the front, full name on the back. I just put the middle initial for that question since that is what is on the front. I don't know if that is what you are supposed to do, but I figured the full name is stated right above that question so it should be ok. You have to send in a copy of your green card anyway, front and back, so I don't think there can be any confusion for them:-)

I've just checked my case status through USCIS Case Status Online page, and it says that today my Interview was scheduled! I don't even know the interview date yet, but I'm super excited 🤩 I'm a 90 days early filer, so it seems that they were waiting for my green card anniversary date, which is today, to proceed with the interview scheduling.

Yay! Congratulations:-) I'm a Portland filer also (April 23rd) so I am stoked to see another person from Oregon get scheduled! I am excited to follow the progress of your case. Also, congrats on your gc anniversary 🙂

Thank you :). I applied under 3 year rule. I waited a while (a few months) after I got my 10 year GC, mainly out of laziness. Hopefully, I'll know the date by the end of this week when the system updates my notice :)

Thank you for replying. I applied under the 5 year rule, and I'm trying to figure out if there is any correlation between fast interview dates and which rule people applied under. It doesn't seem to be the case - I guess it probably has more to do with which office you are assigned to. I bet you will see your date in a couple/few days 🙂

I applied on Feb 25th and got bio done on march 19th. Now is waiting for interview to be schedule ... waiting game continue

Hey @Meowz, has anything happened in your case yet? Trying to figure out when-ish I could expect an interview letter. I'm having a hard time finding any other Portland filers on VJ to ask. And, I just realized this thread was started in 2015... Portland filers don't hang out on VJ much I guess haha

Got a text notification this morning that my case was updated :)However, the new website still says "We reviewed your biometrics" I'm sure it will update at some point. My estimated completion dates is Dec 2019 (7months) so this is exciting.

That's awesome! Exciting to hear what your update says:-) Are you on the timeline sheet for this group? I am not seeing you on there, but it's early and my eyes are blurry lol. Here's the link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19px0T7I0L1r79JhIJJriP1EXI1sO3u1ImNhcP38FETQ/edit#gid=0

3 years rule . May 20/19 will be exactly 3 years,  since I became a permanent resident .This is the first time I got called for interview so I’m kinda nervous lol

You will be totally fine, just relax and study your questions:-) I am excited you already got an interview that is fantastic! I wish you the best of luck!

Yup, Originally March 2020, went down to Feb 2020 after the Biometrics and here we are at May 2020 now :bonk:

Sigh...that is annoying^. But Like chars always says, the estimated times don't mean much - people have often gotten interviews far before their estimated time:-) On another note, I just wanted to say hi, because I see you are from Greenland, and I am from Denmark. My family and I lived in Greenland for about 3 years in the late 80s (Nuuk/Nuusuaq). I wish you the best of luck in this process:-)

Im near sighted n i also took my eyeglass when i had my picture but after she click it she ask me if its  ok n she think it was a good pic so i told her yes its okey... i wish who ever took pic of u showed u if u approved it just like in our bmv they usually show us the pic before they print it to our drivers license

Thank you @brien0512, that would have been really nice!  Unfortunately this lady had no nice intentions like that, she just told me "you're done, we will contact you about the next steps, goodbye". She was generally annoyed it seemed like - and was clearly not having a good day. I would have liked to look normal on that picture, or at least semi-presentable, but oh well, I will get over it haha. I hope she cheered up and was nicer to the people coming after me. On a positive note: the security guards, and the reception lady, at that office were super friendly 🙂

Just to let you guys know their going to use those picture on ur naturalization certificate make sure you look good 😂😂😂

I know!!!!! That is the saddest part...i had nice clothes on and everything! The lady kept saying look here, and I was like..where?? I can't see. And she just kept saying move your head this way and chin down, she kept saying that, and then suddenly...CLICK! No chance to change it😐crazyface doublechin forever now😅I'll just have to try getting really nice passport pictures when get that far haha...hide the certificate forever😋

  12. I did my biometrics this morning☺ just 4 fingers on the right hand (code 5), signature and picture. The picture is the worst ever...worse than my drivers license lol! Had to take my glasses off and couldn't see where I was supposed to look...so hello crazyface doublechin lmao👹 also, I had checked off my haircolor as brown on the sign in paperwork...but it is currently colored red, so the officer changed it on the paper. Fast n easy appointment - not rly worth the 9 hours travel, but necessary! So I'm stoked that part is done😄now to study the questions!!

I just filed this weekend(5/11/19). how soon after your application submitted did you receive your letter with the biometrics appt? I'm hoping we receive it before we leave for our vacation in 2 weeks so we can do the walk in or that it's scheduled after we get back- it's a 3 week trip. Either would work. But if it's delivered while we are away and scheduled before we come back it could be a problem...just wondering how everyone's timeline has lined up this month...thanks!

Aprilfiler here butting in...lol! If you live close to your support center then you can also try printing out your biometrics letter from the website and bring it in for an early walk-in. Many people have done that without any problems, and I would have too, except I live far away from my center. Just letting you know there's that option if you are worried about getting this done before your trip:-) good luck!

  14. 52 minutes ago, NinaG said:

Got my biometrics scheduled on May 23, at 8 am. I live about 2 hours away from the center. Do you think I'll have to be there by 8 or as long as it's on the same day, I'll be fine?

The biometrics letter says that "if you fail to appear as scheduled below or fail to request rescheduling, your application will be considered abandoned", so you should definitely be there on time. I'm not trying to scare you, just letting you know what the letter says, in case you hadn't seen yours yet. You could attempt to do an early walk-in before your scheduled date though:-) Congrats on your biometrics being scheduled - mine are coming up on the 15th.

    Good Morning all,

Quick question. Looking at my case online it says estimated case competition time December (7 months), but then when I look below to case status, it says we received your application etc.. and underneath it says estimated wait time 2 months...

What is the different between these two dates? Early morning so might be missing some obvious.

    Thank you

The 2 months is probably the window they set themselves for scheduling your biometrics, and the 7 months is your overall time to complete the whole case - but like brien0512 said, the times they post on there rarely correspond to your actual wait time, so yesh ignore them:-D
