  1. I’m done with my interview.

    Field office: Pittsburgh PA

    PD: 03/06/19

    Biometrics: 04/18/19

Case ready to be scheduled: 07/16/19

    Interview date: 08/27/19

We got there at 10am, our interview was scheduled for 10:30am. Interviewer called my husband and I in around 10:50am, We took the oath, she captured me and took our photo IDs. She started the i485 questions with me, after that she asked me to step out and asked my husband some questions on the i-130 form, about how we met and when we decided to get married. Then she called me back inside and asked the same questions, she said our responses were the same. We gave her our table if content (15 documents), she took every of our documents. She also told me to identify some people in the pictures and asked were they were taken ( she didn’t take my pictures but made photocopy of them).

In the end she told us she needed to run some last background checks. She gave us the White paper that marked case under review and explained the procedure for removal of conditions. She also said if I’m approved I will get my green card within 2 weeks

She also appreciated that we did a table of content of all our supporting documents, she said it made her work easier. The entire interview lasted for 40 mins and I’m hoping this is the end.

What does your status says on the old or new site ?

Same thing. The only time I sent something to them was when I accidentally  applied to expedite my i485 instead of my i765 ( I wrongly put my receipt notice for i485 and the officer on the phone went ahead to put my application in without objecting). Then they asked me to send my supporting documents, which I did. I thought that was what got me the interview sooner (obviously not because it looks like they are just reviewing the documents I sent since). Hopefully that’s what it is.

Glad to see few March folks get their EAD/AP. Our application date is March 18 and we submitted an inquiry few days ago so hoping to get some good news soon so my wife can be able to start work.

I see the date has reverted back. Do we need to submit another service inquiry or just leave the one we placed already.

Hoping to get good news on the EAD in the coming days/weeks.

Your previous service request is valid for 30 days, so if you don’t get a response back after 30 days then you may do a new one. I see you’re Nigerian. Good luck

I try it. Just feels so ..i dont know..sad, that they cant get anything right in my case. i know the FBI checking has been done and has come clear back,so again someone is just not doing they job. And ofc sinse none has updated online, it also looks like case is just floting around

Don’t feel so sad, I also felt this way when I didn’t get any updates on my case, it felt like I was the only one not getting any news. I applied to expedite my i485 and I got scheduled for an interview (I don’t know if it was the expedite that worked or it was just my time). I got my interview notice in the mail and till now, I still don’t have anything updated online but I will have my interview in 11 days. Be optimistic and keep calling them.

well, we did file 28th Marsh. waited 4 months to Finally get biometrics appointment. This did took about 25-1M calls before someone actually did realize that they did FORGOT(?) to send it! now it has been month again and NO updates on profile no letter for interview nor EAD. Actually there is no online update after NOAH1 that says they have reserved my applications. Cincinnati is the field office and what i see is that people are getting they GC in 4-5 month! IDK why this has to be so damn difficult! I am calling (again) to them next friday so i can get tier2 officer on phone, BUT what i say? cant just say that i know someone has forgot again something lol. all field offices here has no longer infopass etc. times.

I think you may be able to get your case expedited, since it’s a USCIS error that they delayed your case. Talk to a tier two and ask to expedite either your EAD or your AOS.

Oh ok so you think I should wait and not submit my change of address just yet? And instead just say at the interview that I moved? And that would more likely ensure that my green card gets sent to my new address. My lease on my old apartment doesn’t end until August 31 and my interview is September 9 so I guess I would still be within the 10 days period where I have to inform them that moved.

Yeah it’s safer that way, having a human being do it for you than a failed online service. You should take the new lease with You.

So my interview is scheduled at the Los Angeles field office (city not county) for September 9th. I am moving this weekend but only like ten minutes away so it won’t affect my field office, but will putting in my change of address affect my interview at all does anyone know? I know there’s nothing I can do about it as I have to inform them of my change of address I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience just to give me some peace of mind. Ive been waiting for so long for anything to happen on any of my cases that I feel like I’m overthinking absolutely everything now 😕

You should inform your interviewer, the officer will give you a form to fill, that way you can have future correspondences to your new address. ( I know this because my friend did it and they sent her green card to her new address)

Soooo...Usps Says that this is in the mail today. Dated 8/8. Unfortunately we are away at the beach so can’t get the mail. I’m trying to see if someone can go open it for me tonight. Thoughts on what this is?? Of course his status hasn’t changed on any site since April. 8/8 is the day he got his emergency AP, which they handed him on the spot, so maybe it’s just an official version of that? It says page 1 of 2. Does this look like anything anyone has gotten?

It’s could be your interview notice, I got mine addressed to me like this also and they never updated my online account.

i am confused now...new website? my status havent change sinse i filed my aos and ead, after 4months waiting finally after 100 calls someone realised my biometrics app was never send to me. Now i have no idea what and when anything going on. i filed 28th marsh so cabt even make call yet. Does anyone know about how long it takes actually get ead or interwiev after biometrics in cincinnati?

Cincinnati and other field offices from Ohio are pretty fast. I saw a couple of them here on the March thread already had their interview done since May/ June.

I'd say the wait is pretty normal. That's correct, that it means that your case is still at the NBC. Some cases change to "ready to be scheduled" a week after biometrics, some wait months. Some cases never even update to "fingerprint review completed." Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do to speed the process up and have them transfer it to your LFO. I feel you that one of the worst aspects of this process is the lack of transparency or logic in timelines but not much you can do about it.

Your AP will likely never change status, that's how it is for most people. Since you filed EAD/AP concurrently, once your EAD gets approved, so will your AP (and you will receive a combo card) but the status will not change online. My AP still says "case received" even though I have my combo card. In terms of your A-Number, mine was also changed when I filed for AOS compared to the one I previously had (although not through K1). I don't think that has anything to do with it or that it has any bearing on the process.

You’re right. My status only got updated for the first time 14 days ago and it says ready to be scheduled and then I got my interview letter in my mailbox on Saturday without a further update.

i think some officers just don’t bother to update the online status. I was worried sick the entire time when everyone else was getting an update and I didn’t.

so everyone should pay more attention to their mailbox than the online updates and if you change address make sure you keep in touch with your old address (most times they just send notice to the address on forms)

Hello all. I’m out hiking with my husband and his family early this morning and won’t be back until night time, I just saw on my informed delivery that I have a mail from national Benefit centre USCIS. I’m curious what it is, so my question is where do they send interview letters from? Local office or NBC? Online status is still on Ready to be Scheduled. Thanks for your response

I just got home and I found the letter inviting me for the interview, date is Aug 27. My status online didn’t change from ready to be scheduled

I haven’t received either but i know NBC profess the EAD/AP and the local office process the interview for AOS so fingers crossed it’s your EAD/AP?

Yaaay! It’s my interview notice I’m scheduled for Aug 27th. My status online is still ready to be scheduled for interview. I’m so thankful to God

It seems like everyone is asked for their health insurance at the interview.

I don't have my EAD yet, therefore no SSN so I couldn't get health insurance. Will this be an issue at all?

Well not everyone. I don’t have mine too my husband couldn’t add me on his. The only form of insurance we have together is his life insurance (which I’m a beneficiary). We have very few documents, other docs are: internet/ cable bill, bank statement, pictures from wedding and other occasions, affidavit of residence from landlord, affidavit of knowledge to our marriage from his dad and 2 of our friends, mails in both of our names, his paystubs reflecting our address,  Sams club membership, receipts from movie dates, receipts of things ordered to my home  That’s all we have.

Interview at Pittsburgh Office done today! Approved on the spot. But officer called after we left the building saying he can’t issue green card until my bday year is corrected on the background check. He said it will take a couple of months to receive it in mail. Officer is very nice!

Congratulations on the approval! But how is it your fault that they made a mistake on your DOB, now they are making you wait. I hope you get your card soon

    Hi,

    1. Yes, I have the interview in Buffalo, NY. The reason is because it was the closest USCIS office to me and I also had biometrics there. I am (was) located 2 hours north of Pittsburgh.

    2. Check my timeline, I filed in Feb and had biometrics in March and it changed to interview scheduled only at the end of June.

    Good luck

Okay thanks and I wish you success in your interview
