    Congratulations!

It's a good sign that it's non-immigrant AP now as other's have said :) So give it a couple of days if that and you should be seeing "Issued" and then it's kartwheeling time

Yes, good to hear! Thanks :D

well you made it to non immigrant AP, so a few more days it should go to issued

Okay thanks, i thought it would all be in blue “non immigrant AP”. Thought it always just said “non immigrant visa application” because that’s what it is.

  3. Hi, we had our interview yesterday and got approved! Is just “administrative processing” a good sign? I’m glad they’re working on it, but I’ve heard it goes from “immigrant - admin processing” to “non immigrant - admin processing” to “issued”. Don’t know where we are when it just says “admin processing”.

Are they referring to the P3 packet? My fiancée (the beneficiary) hasn’t received the P3 but it was my impression that it was useless to receive it since I’ve already reviewed it on VJ. If we bring the letter from the NVC saying they sent the case to the embassy, paired with a print out of the CEAC status saying “ready”, would that be enough to substitute this letter they’re requesting my fiancée to bring in? Thank you!

    We will be soon.

We will be sending boarding passes, letter of intent to marry, chat logs, receipts from gifts, correspondence. We will also be sending receipts from trips we are making while on Holiday here in the U.S., photos of us together and with my family/friends. I'm trying to add him to my bank account as well and we'll be submitting that. At the interview is when you add the affidavit of support and anything additional I believe. Thanks!

I always hear that’s its good to send pictures of your passport with stamps showing entry into the country. I’ve seen a couple situations where a boarding pass wasn’t enough because that doesn’t prove that they took the flight or entered the county.

Can my fiance substitute work experience for education on Form I-129F ? (She's currently on a student visa and tecnically not allowed to work here in China)

If you’re asking if she can put down “student” when the form asks for the 5 years of work, that usually fine. I put down that i was a student so that it didn’t look there was a gap in my 5 years of work.

It asked for receipt number or case number. I used the receipt number and it let me finish it. But the gal on the phone gave me an invoice ID number and said I'll need it for the DS-160 but I already have the confirmation number from the DS-160

I didn’t fill out the DS-160, my fiancée did, but i don’t think she needed the invoice number for anything. I thought you needed your case number for the DS-160 but i guess not. Maybe someone else can help on that.

I've been calling first thing in the mornings and finally received the case number but they said they literally just opened it. Should I add that to my timeline or wait for a notice? Also, I already filled out the DS-160 not realizing I needed to wait. Is this going to be a problem?

Sure you can update your timeline now. I don’t think you’ll receive a written notice from the NVC with the case number until they send it to the embassy.

I think it’s fine that you already started the ds-160, but i believe you needed the case number to finish it.

PEOPLE: Stop complaining that your not in "in transit" when I clearly stated that "in transit" status can change for both Tuesday and Wednesday. For those who can't see through their TEARS it still is Tuesday. So dry your eyes and give some more time. Oy Vey. Hand slap to the forehead on this one!

Some of us did think that we were going to be in-transit 2 weeks ago (even though nothing is certain and nothing is promised as you always say) but I understand we do jump the gun sometimes on here.

Thank you! That number worked, I just had to call bright and early lol. They told me it takes up to 6 weeks to get anything in and it's been 21 days since they sent it to the NVC....

Keep calling, yours should be there any day now. They usually overestimate to cover their butts.

  11. My fiancée received her medical summary back with a note from 2005 saying “violent behavior (active)”. It related back to when she was a teen and her mom took her to the doctor because she would act out. That’s not the case now as she’s grown out of her teenage aggression as it’s been 14 years and people grow up, but it seems to never have gotten closed by the doctors. I’m worried this is going to cause issues with medical and visa approval. We’re going to ask for a letter from the doctor as well to try to add some more context and try to remove the “active” piece of the summary. How long did it take you to get the additional letter you requested?

  12. I might be an isolated incident but things seem like they might be backing up a bit for London. We were placed on administrative processing at the NVC which I’ve read can be because of a backup at the respective embassy. We have a pretty straightforward case that has been moving along quickly to this point so that’s what I’m leaning towards. This admin processing caused us to miss the April 2nd shipment to the embassy (received case number March 25th) so waiting on April 16th now.

Then today my my fiancée got a phone call from medical asking to move her exam from the 11th to the 25th because they’d double booked a few exams.
