Lets review. This women brings this man? to the USA to begin a new life based on mutual respect & love. She marries him. While she is out looking for a new house for them he takes a run to Florida to have a little Jamacian culture. That turned out to be another womem. I guess he changed pillows while working on a few new memories. He left his wife, his life, his responcibilities, his promises & his legal status.
Your advice is to find a way in her heart to forgive. Just accept the idea & concept that this is acceptable. Get over it & lay her head down on that pillow & dream of the good old days. It is probably her fault anyway. I mean she could now try to do the AOS even though his actions caused him to be out of status. She could pay the fees. Of course she would have to save for new pillows & buy an extra one for the G F.
He isnt a dog. I errored. He is a pig. He isnt her man either if you measure by your pillow standards.

No. They are worthless unless the immigration officer has the people that signed them present to testify. None of us are going to be in a position to make another person do anything when it comes to their case. I have stated my opinion. If you dont agree its ok with me.

"Affidavits are not mandatory & can prove to be worthless because anyone could manufacture them". Maybe you need to read this quote again. It indicates they are not required. It doesnt say no one should submit them. Affidavits would not be submitted to me. Its my opinion that they are worthless for the reason I gave. Anyone can write anything they want which could be viewed as pure fiction or as absolute fact. Who could or would distinguish between the two. You?
If you want to question the author of the instructions contact the USCIS office near you to inquire. If you want to submit affidavits then do so. I did not & was asked to.
Ahh map has corrected my error about the fact this is an AOS rather than a visa petition to BKK. I made that mistake in my understanding. Read his post.

This is great advise & should be followed to the letter. Please do not allow your emotions to get in the way of clear thinking. Do not " go down there" & let him know what you are going to do. I feel bad for you & dont want this to become any worse for you. Any info you give him along the way will only serve to help him & hurt you.
I wouldnt spend 10 seconds worrying about his culture while trying to comply with whats good for him. Put yourself back in control of your own life. This guy used you. Its as simple as that. You are better off without this drama or supporting a dog like this.

This is strange even for Thailand.
These reasons you state are ridiculous. Do you mean to say they gave you a document with these reasons for the delay on it?
    # 1 Her ability in English isnt an issue.
    # 2 Legaly married is as married as you can be.
    # 3 This gang of 7 hookers applied for immigrant visas & that affected your wife? This makes no sense at all.
    # 4 Meeting on the net is accepted. There are many visas approved after meeting on the net. That includes me. They didnt question us about it other than the initial question.
Something happened at the interview to give the officer the impression your wife worked in a questionable enviorment. They are required to investigate the situation. This isnt the first time we have heard of these investigations.
In the end I hope she will be approved but you will both have to endure the investigation time period. I assume she had a police report that didnt indicate any problems. The embassy will double check her background by contacting the central police department. They will inquire with police in her city, town or village. When that investigation is done they will report the findings to the embassy. This is why no one can tell you how long it will take. Everything takes a long time in Thailand compared to the USA.
Politicians have little impact on the workings of USCIS other than approving their budget. There are few circumstances where they can or will help. They all have a staff member trained to placate the voter.
It is true that you must wait. It isnt true that it will be years. The last case that involved this type of investigation that I know of took about 60 days. That person was employed in a bar/ restaurant. The word bar set off a firestorm. She was actually employed as a cleaning person. The visa was approved.
Immigration reform has been on hold for 60 years. It will remain so for a long time. The US governemnt has too many other problems to deal with as we can see every day.
These matters are very personal & emotional for all of us as we endure them. My advise is to forget the attack tactics & try to work on positive measures for your future. There is no reason to think she wont be approved in the end.

Call the Senator & see what happens when you ask to speak directly to him or her. Demand that they put the Senator on the phone. Tell them about the taxes. Demand an explanation in writting.
You will find that all of this simply means nothing. These political people have been in office a long time. The immigration laws havent changed much for 60 years. Ask your politician to explain the last action they took on immigration reform.
Tell them what you will do when they dont conform to your demands. Tell them you will remove them from office & ask for a refund of those paychecks.
In the end you will end be better educated about how little influence any politician has over Homeland Security.

All people that have visas are considered "intending immigrants". That includes tourist visas. She will have to prove her " strongest ties " are to Colombia to have any chance of getting a tourist visa to visit her father in the USA. I would suggest the mother in Colombia will apply for the visa. In doing so she could acknowledge in writing the fact that the child could not immigrate to the USA without her written permision. The expectation is that the child will return to her mother.

While I hope for the best for you keep in mind this is a journey. You may have set a record for entering into a relationship but you should now prepare for the journey into the reality of immigration. The timelines here on V J are a good guide to determin how long it takes for a case to result in a visa.

Your expidite was not approved. This is proven by the denial of the petition.
Some members have cautioned you to wait until you know for sure why you were denied. Some have suggested that your RFE didnt connect with the case file.
In my own case I was at first denied because they hadnt gotten my RFE responce. They issued the denial letter just as you got. I later got a letter explaining the denial. That letter said I could not appeal; the decision was final. I didnt melt down like you are but I was very dissapointed. You are over reacting which does no good & wont change anything. If you believe in the Muslim teachings now is the time to review those ideas.
You need to cool it until you have that denial letter. There may be a way to repair the damage & get what you want. This isnt a problem created by the US govenment in some plot to do you harm. This is a situation born by the people from your own country that did things in the past to create the need to prove the intent of the immigrant.
In my own case, after my husband reviewed the letters he wrote a letter to USCIS & sent it in along with the evidence asking them to connect it with the case file. He asked for reconsideration rather than appealing the case. The case was reopened & approved.
Hopefully yours will be as well.

You married her out of sympathy not love. You feel nothing but sorrow. You have a dim view of Thailand & its people. " These darkies" ? Did you think you could lead her out of that terrible country where she lived all her life & show her the promised land. Moses in America. Bloom? Only to die when reality sank in & she realised you are a racist amongst other things.
You expected a different place to sleep & eat would turn her into what your view of a good wife should be? Of course she doesnt want to leave the USA as long as she doesnt have to deal with you other than support. Who blew it? You or was it her. You went out to save the savages from themselves. You signed up for the event. She didnt come to the USA looking for you.
You mean that you were suprised to learn of the culture in Thailand. The poverty? The 4,000 year history of the country escaped you?
Fair? It isnt a baseball game. What to do? Simple. Cut her loose & let her find her own way just as she was doing when you decided to ignore the facts & intervien.
Loves you so much? Sure when she thinks the free ride is over. What did you expect her to do? You will be lucky if she gets on that plane.

if hubby comes into the USA on CR-1 status and starts beating u every day...then he confesses that he only married u to get status in the US...u guys separate just about to weeks after his arrival and he moves to another state... u contact immigration and tell them he was a fraud in writing,... ur hubby has not yet received even his conditional green card,...and u get your marriage annulled back home.... because of the annulment the guy becomes reactionary and starts harassing you over the phone and threatens you... finally, even though he was supposed to have been in another state he shows up at your doorstep...you now have no idea what his address is but you are able to acquire a TPO against him anyways and on top of it due to the fact that every time he harasses you, you file a police report the police have taken out a warrant for stalking against him. Now the thing is that you finally find out what his address is...what do you do next?

Your military service doesnt have anything to do with immigration law. Why did you serve the country if you hate it so much? Neither does her christian beliefs or how many times she went to church. Her religion must not bother her when it comes to the law.
She isnt bothering anyone I am sure but you both know she is breaking the law. Thats why you asked for help. You want to know how to circumvent the law. Then you want to make a statement about how the constitution is torn apart.
For example she must have a social security numnber if she is going to pay taxes. She also isnt allowed to work as a tourist. These things may come back to haunt you as you go forward.
Dont attempt to lecture me or send me to a different country when you are so ignorant of the one we live in & its laws. The police can only stop people that they have reason to believe have broken a law. Identity theft for example. People working with a fake social security number for example. If these people are here legaly they have no problem. Its the illegals that are worried & they should be. It doesnt have anything to do with skin color or accents.
If you believe in what you say dont look for a way around the laws. Abide by them or move to Brazil. When you contact USCIS tell them you think its a communist run agency.

You cant petition for a tourist visa for them.
#1 Yes because its based on the history of people from the P I abusing tourist visas.
#2 Yes because it serves to show you & others that it doesnt help to obtain visas. It also made you feel you did all that you could think of.
#3 They can apply as many times as they want. Each time they will be asked if they applied before & what the outcome was. That history will have to overcome to change the outcome. A support document may sound like they intend to remain in the USA & need support.
The documents you say you submitted before also serve to make it look as though they are attempting to immigrate. The problem is all people entering the USA are presumed to be immigrants.
Tourist visas from high fraud countries can be almost impossible to get. It hasnt got anything to do with luck. Its past history & discresion of the officer at the window.

I dont agree with much of this advise. Some of it is nice to read but doesnt mean anything in the end.
You cant throw him out of his own house or change the locks. Those acts alone are enough to enable him to have you restrained.
The most positive thing you could do is prepare yourself for a new life. That life will be better than what you have now because the abuse will be over & you will determin your own fate. You can forgive him later if he gives you a reason to do so. He wont.
When you confront him in a few days you will be sorry. He will respond with anger & lies. Do you really expect him to be truthful or change his thinking? Everything you have said indicates he doesnt care about you. What redeeming qualities does he have? His ego wont allow for counseling because he will have to be honest & accepting of change.
Now is as good a time as any to begin to figure out what the divorce laws in your state indicate about what type of support you may be able to get. You dont say how long you have been married & that will have an impact on what will happen. Find out if your marrige is termed " short or long term " under the laws of your state. The cost of a lawyer for example can become part of the settlement so dont be afraid of spending his money on one. Contact a lawyer & meet with them to determin what your actual legal position is.
Dont let ignorance nor emotion weaken you when you need to remain strong. Your last sentence indicates you are intellegent & understand your situation better than anyone here.
I thought you were wrong to look for answers here but have changed my mind because you are right in saying this is the best you could do at this time. You can see here that people do care about you & what happens to you.
You have given enough to this guy. Its time to take care of yourself now. It wont be long before you are healed & see that everything is going to be ok. It certianly wont be as bad as it is now.
