    Congratulations!

As far a the dog, the main thing they asked for was the rabies certificate at the POE.  I'm not sure what the requirements for Brazil would be, but I'm sure that you're on top of that.

We took her (our) dog with us in the cabin of the plane and it went fairly smoothly....except for when he got loose and followed the flight attendant who was pushing the food cart down the aisle.

I'm having nightmares where my dog (which has a... little temper LOL) escapes his bag and starts biting everyone on the plane hahahahaha

Yeah apparently for Brazil I need the rabies certificate + worms certificate and a paper issued by the Minister of Agriculture (don't ask) and signed by a veterinarian up to 5 days prior to the flight.

The thing I'm most worried about, to be honest, is how he's gonna react to the flight itself. He's adopted and super traumatized with a lot of things and I'm worried about flying for 10h+ with him in a bag. Hopefully I'll find some kind of natural medicine to calm him down or even make him sleep. If you guys have any tips on that, I'd appreciate.

ALSO, You're together already! That makes me so happy!!! ❤️  Best of luck to you guys and be super super happy together!!

Claudia's passport was returned to her last Wednesday.  She got her prorroga (passport extension) on Thursday, the letter for her dog on Friday, and our flight to Atlanta was Saturday morning.  Everything went smooth at her POE, we had a short wait for our connection and then a 30 minute flight home.

Now, I'm just hanging out in different forums, studying this AOS thing, and looking for ways to help other people who are going through this journey.

I had my interview yesterday, now waiting for the visa to be issued to get the flight and get my dog's papers done. We are planning on flying to the US on the 28 ❤️

Just now I was on the I94 website and I tried to get my most recent one. It said "No record found for traveler". I entered my correct passport info. Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what these are for. My fiance has never been to the United States and I was trying to enter my own info. That's wrong, right?

This is the page you should go https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/history-search. It should show your records of arrival and departures, as far as I know. I don't see why your fiance never been to the US would be a problem. For our petition, we got my I94, my fiancé's Brazilian visa page, my own US visa page, both passports stamps pages showing that we went back and forth to see each other and copy of our flight tickets. Oh and the letters that I mentioned before + pictures of us together with friends and families.

I don't know what you sent before but I would send it all again plus any other evidence I could find (like the letters)

Those customs people with their stamps are so reckless! Yes I ended up scanning the entire passport. The order of which my travel visas appear in the passport are not in any chronological order. So I'll be sure to highlight the pages of the passport with the relevant visas.

Other than the stamps pages of both our passports we also sent I94 as proof of meeting for the past 2 years. You could also send letters from friends and family stating that they saw you both together (we asked both of our moms and two of our friends, one in each country).

Your timeline says something about an RFE reply. Was that them basically just saying, "We got your evidence, now you can wait again."

Yes we replied on the 18th and got the notification on the 19th saying they received it. Still waiting for the Approval, which we think will happen soon. Also, listen to @Greenbaum

"The adjudicator has already made up their mind about your case and if you do what they ask then they are going to approve your case. Of course if something in your past is hanging up the approval, hence the RFE then what you return will answer the question(s) that the Adjudicator has."

I'm not an expert but since the beginning of this process for me and my fiance, I haven't seen a process get denied...

Good luck and keep the faith! :)

I'm glad you told me that. My instincts were indeed to pile on more evidence in addition to what they request from me. I'm sure my lawyer would've eventually said the same thing to me you are now. LOL

Ah okay. Hopefully mine's as simple as that. Cause I really did present a LOT of evidence in my initial application packet.

Yeah we sent a lot of things too hahaha. The letter should take 5-7 days to get to your address. Then follow @Greenbaum's tips and you're good :)

So I got an RFE today. I've read enough on these forums to know not to panic. But I'm also imagining what possible evidence they could be asking for and I won't know until I receive the letter in the mail which was mailed out yesterday.

The CaseTracker app showed me this morning about the RFE and both the old and new websites state the RFE was mailed out June 26th.

My application packet had pictures from two separate trips of me and my fiance in Turkey. The second trip included photos of our engagement ceremony. I had proof of both my flights there. And we both had signed letters stating our intent to marry each other within the 90 days.

It's just hard to imagine what could be so lacking about my application. It seems others get approved for having much less, but I know that's just an emotional reaction. I don't really know that. And yeah, I know I shouldn't compare my case with other people's, but it really seems just my luck overall.

So I'm seeking any advice you're all willing to give me. What types of things do they ask for in an RFE? When they receive the evidence again, does it take a long time to get the wheels spinning back up? Or is the case primed for approval pending acceptable evidence that they requested? Do people tend to get approve as long as they provide the evidence requested? Like, we weren't denied. So I'm thinking, is it all hinging on that RFE then?

We got a RFE because there was an issue with filling some of the questions on the form. Fixed, sent back on the 18th, got a notification on the old site that they received on the 19th and now we are waiting to hear back from them...

There is a good possibility it was touched to begin the re-adjudication of your case. I find nothing unusual with your case process. .

Thanks!! That’s what I’m feeling too (now) I just don’t remember if there were those kinds of updates before or if we didn’t see them. Well let’s hope it’s re-adjudication and pray to get our NOA2 by the end of this month 🙏🏻

You’re lucky you’ve got your letter .. my fiancé isn’t comfortable calling and feels if we annoy them they will put it backwards when it’s so annoying because I want the entire process to start moving aghhh

It could happen, who knows... but the thing is, you don't have to be annoying to get information :) you just have to be persistant, because they're gonna put your call on hold, tell you they can't get you to a tier 2 representative... it's a patience exercise

  10. Got a notification for RFE after 95 days on the old site yesterday (11). We are trying to call USCIS and we got to tier 2 and they said they could send it by fax (my fiancé is out of town until August). We haven't got it yet but we were SO SURE everything was correct and that we sent so much more that what was asked for the initial petition... it's a bummer. Trying to stay positive but it's already a long process and it's so hard to have  to wait whatever time it takes to get the answer, the NOA2 and everything else. I'm kinda of depressed about it today... 😕

only option i have is to check the website. I'm guessing it updates you on it since everyone else post on there timeline that there file was transferred to California or one of the other offices.

As far as I know, all the I129F forms go to California. I assume you have a NOA1 and a case number, right? If your case number starts with WAC it means it went to California. IF they transfer it to some other service center, you'll get a notification. When you send your petition, yes it goes to Texas, but then all the applications for K1 go to California. It doesn't mean it was transferred, it just means they received your case and started working on it (by giving you a case number). Try to breathe, you'll get news sooon! :)

@Rita Rocha From me experience RFE's always have this line in them that state something like include this letter with your submission. My questions I guess would be if you can't get a hold of the letter how will you know what the RFE is asking for? Usually, my format is something like a cover letter, then the RFE letter they send, and then the evidence requested. A good practice is to  make copies of everything sent. I do it to cover my ground and so I can have evidence of what was submitted. Then we deliver it USPS in those 7.65 dollar flat rate envelopes, which give you tracking numbers, so you can make sure it was delivered before their deadline.

We can get the letter, his mom is going to get it for us. The only concern is if we need to send it back in the envelope they supposedly send for us to do so.

    (C) I always kind of viewed RFE's that way. Just make sure to address every issue that they touch on. At my job I'm in charge of what they consider complex RFE's that usually come from gathering criminal reports, or proving hardship on the waivers that then need to go through consular processing. Just cover everything, be concise, and be organized. This has never failed me and sometimes I was scared about denials, because sometimes it would involve very late registered birth certificates (they really have issues with that), Adam Walsh Act cases, etc...

However, usually when you answer the RFE you will get a pretty fast response, because you are right they have it on their desk already and reviewing it. Unless, it is a complex issue they will literally just be like it will take some time and hand it over to a supervisor and thats when it can lag, but I think you will be good, but yeah if you can share what they ask for I'm sure people in this community will be able to help you and give suggestions.

Thank you! We are relieved to get news from them, but also frustrated because we were pretty sure we sent everything and more than was necessary. But who knows, maybe they lost something, maybe we forgot to fill something on the form. We are pretty confident it's something simple. Our only concern is when/how we're gonna send it, since my fiancé is not at home and travels for work.

Here on VJ they have created a spreadsheet where couples have added their RFE information and it makes for a good primer while you are waiting for your RFE.

Here is the link to the RFE thread:

    http://www.visajourn...fe-master-list/

Here is the link to the actual document in google docs:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QZLEE9OecLgkFXzE_ChRWqPGW4breSStBXafL2zbGhA/edit#gid=2061710905

The original is the copy you receive in the mail. Read it carefully and answer with what they are asking for. You don't have to do anymore then what is outlined within the RFE. Sign the RFE and make copies of everything you'll put in the return envelope. These copies will remain yours. Seal the envelope and return to the address that is specified in the RFE. Be sure to send it back so that you can trace it. Be sure your response is returned in the allotted time contained within the RFE.

Thanks for the help. We have an unusual situation where my fiancé is travelling for work. Do you know if he can send the things they request from anywhere in the US? Or will they ask us to send a copy of the notification or something that comes with the letter?

    Hi Rita,

I'm very scared to receive an RFE, would you care to share what sort of documents do they normally request in RFE notice?

thank you again and good luck

Sure, we just got the notification on the old site, so it's gonna be a few days until we get it in the mail. But there's no reason to be scared... it's better to get a RFE than to get nothing. It means they saw our case :)

Hey guys! I haven’t posted anything on here yet but I’ve been following this thread. Is it recommended to call the USCIS number if your visa journey timeline estimate has already passed? Our NOA-1 was from March 4th and our estimate was that we’d hear between May 28-June 4 but nothing yet. Thoughts?

Hey, it seems like it's being a hard couple weeks for brazilians fiance(es), uh? I'm praying we all get our notifications soon. Even if it's a RFE, it's still a sign they've touched our processes... About calling, this is what I read on my VJ timeline: If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline.  As @TandClaudia said, I don't think it would hurt to call. My fiance called them this week, we are within the date range showed on VJ but I had an anxiety crisis and he thought it would be helpful to call -- it wasn't, they said the same thing it's on the old site. But maybe you'll have more lucky. Also, the current processing times posted here (https://www.visajourney.com/content/times/) says California Service Center is working on petitions with 3/2 NOA1 date. So our time is coming! Fingers crossed for you and your fiance!  :)))
