@Optimistic1986 thank so much, it is great that your case was transfered to local office, I get a feeling mine was also I will contact Congressman, and I am still in doubt if my field office is queens or manhattan, I live in Queens though
I’ve asked my lawyer he said it will be in Queens. I don’t know how true it is but I am also relying on VAWA filers experiences here

No that's actually called the Brooklyn office, so when you check the processing time make sure to look for i-485 and Brooklyn NY.
Why is it Bk though when the address is at downtown NY?

@Optimistic1986 when didyou get your vawa approved? My vawa was approved on march 2020, filed i485 on dec 2018, I was told to check on the uscis pocessing time website for i485 st albans vt office, in that office it is alread 4 months past due, I was also told to check 1485 at my local office, I dont know if that is Manhattan or Queens, I live in Queens, but I was told to check on a uscis website which is my field offfice by typing my zipcode and it showed it is Manhattan.
If any one has any ideas on which would be my field office please let me know, I havent seen any update on my i485 since march 2019 that it says "fingerprints were taken on march 19 2019" I havent seen that the case has been approved or transfered to a local office, please help
My VAWA was approved last July 2020 and my case was filed Sept 2018. The attached file below was the email I’ve received after my lawyer inquired about my case on Oct 2020. So that means it was transferred on April 2020 to local office right?? And at Manhattan? But my lawyer says it will be in Queens. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

Hello dear community please help me with advice, vawa case approved on march 2020, filed i485 in Dec 2018, on the uscis processing time website the i485 in vt service is already in April 2019 meaning my i485 is out of processing time for 4 months, I already sent e request and received a letter saying I should write to the VT service, which I did in April but haven't got any response, what can I do to speed up my i485? what ideas can you share with me, when would it be feasible to file a mandamus
I filed mine Sept 2018, I’ve asked for AOC’s help and Sen Gillibrand, 🤷🏽♀️. No updates whatsoever with I-485. I’m from Queens too

NYC is taking 18/24 months, I had I-485 previously from Marriage and I was approved 17 months after Vawa approval. So you can have an Idea.
You meant approved for an interview? That’s insane

It depends on your field office and where you are in line with interview scheduling.
It’s at Federal Plaza, NYC. How long does it take now?

The other day they were on June 2018 cases and then just skipped to September... I don't understand what's going on ... do you know if your case in the local office already? Did you get any letters about that ?
Try to do infopass
@Evasn my lawyer inquired last Oct2020 and USCIS responded that it’s been in Fed Plaza by April 2020. My approval was July2020. Idk. Infopass won’t do anything

Hello Everyone ,
I just checked time processing for NY (i485) and it says they are on September 3,2018 filers and my case from June 2018 .. do you know how credible is that and if I should ask my attn to submit a request as it's outside of the processing time ? Also any June 2018 filers from NY any updates on i485?
Hi I’m from NY too, Sept 2018 filer here. I don’t know if that’s credible

Please tell your lawyer to be aware of any RFE for Medicals, they are sending for those late 2018 applicants and up NYC is very slow right now. All the Green card approvals I have seen are from 2017, 2018, 2019. You will be soon. Contact your congressman to inquiry but be prepared USCIS Federal Plaza local office barely responding to congress office.
Hi, USCIS sent me a letter last July 2020 about my schedule to be interviewed and that I should wait for RFE (medicals) and mail it or bring it with me to the interview. Does it usually take this long for them to send me my RFE? I am a Sept 2018 applicant. It’s really making me angry that this is taking forever! I filed at NYC

Cause my lawyer didnt submit anything at all.I know ppl who didn't get any Because they submitted everything when they filed.
Yes, I submitted everything even if my lawyer told me I don’t have to lol. I researched and told him I want it included.

But when did they request evidence from you, they never request anything from me and that's what puzzle me.Like they throw my file out the door
I didn’t receive RFE at all. I think some applicants here didn’t received any too. I also got I-693 notice last year of July. Until now I am still waiting an instruction whether to mail my medicals or bring it with me to interview 🤷🏽♀️

Gillibrand is usually very responsive.. give her this week let’s see what happens. Stay strong for your mental/psychological health. I know it’s tough but the end is beautiful!😊👍
Thanks, trying to be strong. It sucks because I will be losing my job this October since the renewal has not been issued yet.

Hello guys. So I went for my green card interview today and was approved on the spot. Questions were based on I-485. I only needed to correct my birthday and update my new job. The IO was very friendly. Thank you to everyone in this forum. Being here has been very therapeutic for me. Stillwinning, sandraj, and everyone else, God bless you and I pray God grant approvals to all that are still waiting.
I-360 filed in August 2018
about two RFE’s
I-360 was approved in August 2020
I-485 application was received September 2020
i-485 transferred in November 2020
Biometric in February 2020
interview and approval today June 9 2021 and card is being produced.
Congratulations! What State are you from?

Did you seek the help of your congressman? What did they say? It’s really taking time I must say even though there have been instances like that!🙁
I’ve asked AOC’s help, the same generic response. Last wk, I emailed Sen. Gillibrand no response yet. I-693 notice was last year but no updates as to when I’ll send the medicals via mail or bringing it with me during interview 😩. Can’t apply to another job due to this problem😡
