Hi everyone,

I am a bit concerned.  I have filed our aos back on october 1st, biometrics 10/23 and we still didn't receive our EAD.  I see here many people who have had their biometrics done after our date that have received their work authorizations.  Is there anyone who has a similar timeline as mine that still hasn't received their EAD?  I am a bit concerned at this point.

 I was told the same thing...My case was approved on April 23rd, however nvc  did not get it until May 6th and I called  every day.  They finally told me on May 14th that they received it on May 6th even if I called the previous days and was told they didn't receive it yet.   It was then put in AP for an additional two weeks and now it is finally ready to go to the Embassy hopefully in the next run.

Did you try calling USCIS to confirm exactly when they forwarded your case to NVC?  

Thank you so much for your response.  I am so worried.  We received our NOA2 on February 22nd and I received a notice dated April 12 that nvc sent back the case to USCIS and that they will review it and once they do so they will let me know.  Im not sure how long this process will take.  I am now a little hopeful though seeing that you got through it and now you are married.

I am going through the same thing. I just received notice that uscis has my case back and is reviewing it and they will let me know once they are done . Have you received any other information?

Also, since I noticed you already booked your interview, how backlogged is the consulate with the availability of booking the appointments?  What was your experience?

Could be couple weeks. Check CEAC for case status using your NVC number. Once it says "ready for scheduling" then you can book the interview.

The case # was just generated today and they received it from USCIS on the 18th Of march. My fiance' is from Brazil. We need to make our own appointment and I was wondering how long it would take for the Embassy in Brazil to receive our case #. Thank you all for your help!

Hi everyone.  I called NVC and finally received my case number today.  Does anyone know how long it takes for the embassy to receive it and for us to start booking an appointment?  The case # was just generated today and they received it from USCIS on the 18th Of march.  My fiance' is from Brazil.  We need to make our own appointment and I was wondering how long it would take for the Embassy in Brazil to receive our case #.

I was also asked for my email and phone number.  I believe this is something they do as a routine.
